You can tell just from talking to him that he has a great deal of experience with salmon fishing and has taken many people out. Thy were both very accommodating and easy going. We had some rough weather for a few days and it made it difficult to schedule the trip, but it certainly was worth the wait to get out there and catch some fish. Our boat was captained by Brian and his deck hand/entertainment of the night was Ben; both very professional and got us out and back in safely. Ben was fantastic on the acoustic guitar, excellent voice and sense of humor. It was a small group when we went but he still worked the crowd. The boat was clean and I appreciated that they had binoculars available in each bench seat so you could take advantage of seeing the sights. Ben also does some of the scenic tours so he threw in a few nuggets of info about the area in between songs but overall the focus was on the music and enjoying the views. Sunset was perfect! Would highly recommend.

It was a 1.5 hour interesting and enlightening guided tour highlighting elegant, historic, and hidden Cottage Row in the town of Gibraltar, the Strawberry Islands, and the Eagle Bluff Lighthouse. The all-in cost for us 2 seniors was $91.79. We boarded their boat named Quo Vadis and it has a capacity of 58 we were told. Betsy was our engaging and informative tour guide and she was a great local narrator and guide having been raised on nearby Chambers Island. From a nature and wildlife standpoint, we saw double-crested cormorants, white pelicans, a bald eagle, and a big eagle's nest along the way. Betsy added a lot of local color and flavor and trivia to the talk and it was just what I enjoyed hearing to gain more insight into this charming area. Big thumbs up and we would take another of their tours if we were up here at the right time and conditions again.

Discovered this place while using a detour south of Algoma. This is a spring fed lake that…read moreaverages 21 feet deep with 38 feet being the deepest point. The lake is 19 acres in size; and it's known for bluegills, brownies, rainbow trout and bass. Latest fishing info says trout are getting scarcer but bass are getting more prevalent. I believe it's catch and release. While we were there kids were swimming. Most of the bottom is termed "muck", while the bottom in the swimming area is sand. There are picnic tables, barbecue spots, a boat landing, a fishing pier and public bathrooms. Not much of a park (it's mostly a gravel parking lot). But the family we saw had set up tarp over one of the picnic tables and were having a great time. A nice place to take the family, swim in the lake and beat the heat. It's off of County Road K on County KK. Electric motors are allowed; but nothing else. If you're looking for a swimmin' hole that's off the beaten track it would behoove you to find this quiet little lake. If swimming is not your bag, bring a small boat and your fishing gear

The cops need to patrol this park. Also if you have a newer car, do not park here. They like to speed out of the lot sending gravel everywhere.
