Hopefully the next time we come back, we will be able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful fountain and lovely patio. Their reds are exceptional. They have a sister winery called Door 44 as well. We can't wait to go back and enjoy their wines again. Their flights are incredibly reasonable at four for $10. They also have a wine club you can join. Highly recommend!

Speaking of great, the Old Fashion's are top notch! Hours are interesting, I think they are really only open to the public a few days a week. Other days are reserved for weddings. And it looks like each day has a specific menu. I was there on a Friday so it was primary Fish. (Meatloaf and Pork Shank on Wednesdays and Chicken on Sundays). I have seen their Cheese Curds listed on many websites as being some of the best in Wisconsin. I have to say I'd disagree. They were good.. but not in my top 10. My wife had Walleye and I had Perch. Which was also good but not great. I'd have to say I liked the Walleye better than the Perch. (But everyone has their own opinion). Excellent service, even though our main server was brand new and in training, but her trainer did a great job of making sure everything was taken care of. The "extras"that come with the meals were very good and I especially loved the pickles. This is another Wisconsin Supper Club that you have to put on your bucket list! Really want to make it back for the Pork Shank!

My wife and I were so involved in events in Texas, we both forgot our 24th anniversary. What to…read moredo? Where to go? We are weird as we like to treat ourselves to restaurants out of our own city. I had researched the Stebbins before. It seemed like a worthy place for our celebration. So we called and made a reservation (good thing we did, as they were turning people away without one); and took the scenic drive to Algoma. We got there early and sat at the bar. We told the barkeep we were there for our anniversary celebration. That was the right thing to say as the staff fawned us after that. We had a couple of Tanqueray and tonics that were sufficiently stout. The bar area was fairly raucous as the Brewer's game was on. Then we found out we could eat at the bar. So we ordered some onion rings. I know they're not that good for you; but they are my guilty pleasure. Their onion rings are pretty dang good. At our appointed time we were shown to the dining room, which we found surprisingly small. Our waitress was a perky and friendly lass and her service was great. 99% of the time I'm an ovo-lacto vegetarian. On that one percent I'll channel the pescatarian in me. So will my wife. So I ordered a shrimp dish and she ordered fish. Both of our meals were excellent. My side was baby red potatoes. My wife had a twice baked potato. Just a tip to the restaurant, the presentation and meal would have benefited with a green vegetable on the plate, broccoli, please. As I said our waitress was very efficient and pleasant. After our meal she said "I hear it's your anniversary, don't go away". In a few minutes she brought us a rather large strawberry short cake. It was delicious, the perfect end to a fine meal. It was on the house! We look forward to returning for another meal and perhaps a two night stay, as the hotel seems to be 19th century classic. All in all it was a great experience. If you are looking for a special place it would behoove you to check this place out. Kudos

I had a little issue with a noisy group shooting pool and playing music late but staff on duty took care of it. Maybe they could post a sign in the room that the pool room closed at say 10 pm on weeknights or just lock the door. As for the decor, I've noticed comments on here about it being outdated... that's the charm people! It's got a retro feel.. that's what I loved about it. It's an old hotel in an old established town . But it has been updated! They've just kept the retro charm. The staff was very kind and friendly. I'd stay again

I had to cancel my reservations for 4 days became after second day chasing several flies I had it. I did not drive 30 hours to chase flies or fleas (see photos) and paying $109. Is a rip off, I stayed at Quality inn and they had better everything and when I complained that my room was not made up, two older women were mad and nasty to me for asking. From lumpy beds to a bed covered with flies (after I used spray to kill them) I asked them to vacuum that rug area and the sheets where I sprayed bug spray and they were made?

We were told that it wasn't in his system which really just meant he forgot to write it down since his "system" consisted of a spiral notebook. My guess is that he was able to charge more to someone else so he booked our room and had us look elsewhere. He had us go to econolodge about 11mins away which was great but we had to pay $40 more for the same room. So basically this place probably made an extra $30 charging someone else more money, but used us as a backup plan Incase they weren't able to fill the rooms, and we got screwed because Econolodge (rightfully so) wasn't willing to honor this places pricing
