Pat checked out my hair length in different areas finding it too short in some areas compared to the rest of my hair and found how my hair grew in certain areas. I have "cow licks" in some areas and my hair grows straight in others. Pat cut my hair the way I requested and when I implied I wanted it a bit shorter she gladly took care of it. Often the week following a haircut tells me even more about the haircut, a week later I was very happy with the haircut.

A first time visit that yielded a great haircut! Pat is my 4th stylist since moving to this area 2…read moreyrs ago. It's been a long and depressing journey before finding Pat. I'm not hard to please by any means. Sadly I'm finding too my salons with poorly taught hair cutting and coloring stylists. I understand that Florida no longer requires a real person type cosmetology licensing exam with highly experienced cutting and coloring experts serving as judges who can physically watch them through the hair cutting and coloring processes. There are no required internships where the best learning after classroom instruction really takes place. The exam is now a computer generated test and its turning out very poor cosmetologists. I had such a mess two stylists ago that I had to go north to get it fixed. When it happened this time I was lucky enough to see Pat's advertisement. She stated she can work to fix any bad haircut. I decided to call and give it a try before heading out of this area once again. I'm truly pleased with what she was able to do and the path she has mapped out to get me back to where I want my hair style to be. The best part....it looked really great the next day after her haircut too! Another words it didn't look like I just had a haircut. It looked soft, smooth and has very naturally moving lines. Thank you Pat!

Old hair can be seen on all surfaces and tools weren't clean. One star for semi friendly service. *Edit 2/24/18: This evening I received a homophobic and racist Yelp notification from Michele M. She claims to be daughter of the owners of this establishment (judging from her hair, I believe her). The censored message follows: Subject: Hi marc*** (she used three more letters to turn my name into a slur for a male body part) "Hi Marc C.***(again) that review you made about seaside hair was my father. Go **** a ***** **** ***** (here she instructs me to perform a lewd act on a male body part of someone, and manages to make it racist at the same time. She also confuses me with a female dog). Take down your review or I will beat your *** *** (three letter homophobic slur followed by a threat to by pet donkey) into confetti. Maybe you would like a visit from some of my pals...***lord." (three letter homophobic word) Had Michele M. or her mother contacted me in a professional manner, I may have considered altering my review to reflect the current status of the operation. However, after reading the review that I left I realized that I had neglected to mention the dull and rusty disposable razor that was used on my neck. I was so concerned about public safety after my visit here that I contacted the Florida DBPR, the Florida Cosmetology Board and the Florida Department of Health. During my visit, I did notice that the gentleman who was cutting my hair was not well and was frustrated due to that. He and the lady present were friendly, however I still chose to rate this one star as everything else about the visit was horrible and I stand by my review.
