I love the deep condition I get, it makes my hair soooo soft. I had the pandemic hair that hadn't been cut in a year and when I left it was just lovely. I had bangs a long time ago and had let it grow out and decided I wanted them back. After the 2nd appointment they are starting to lay back where they are supposed to, lol. The service is great, from the front desk to all the stylists, they are all so friendly. I had been using different brands of shampoo/conditioner trying to get some frizz under control. The L'Oreal Professional line that they sell seems to do the trick for me. I highly recommend this salon.

I was really disappointed by my experience at this salon. The atmosphere felt unwelcoming and…read morejudgmental rather than professional or kind. It also became clear that the owner encourages staff to only accept or prioritize "high-end" clients who fit a certain image, which I found very discouraging. For example, the owner prioritizes hair extension services as if it's a high end salon in New York City. On top of that, it was uncomfortable to hear clients being discussed after they left -- something that should never happen in a professional environment. There's been a lot of staff turnover recently, and it's not hard to understand why. It's sad to see this kind of culture in a small community like Waxhaw, where most salons take pride in treating everyone with respect.

My blonde highlights had grown out substantially and it was beyond time for a cut. Alexis listened to my concerns that adding too much blonde would wash me out in winter. She suggested a reverse-balayage -- something I didn't even consider before as a possibility! She skillfully painted back in some of my natural color throughout, still allowing some of the blonde to come through. I cannot express how thrilled I am with the results! She also nailed my cut--I wanted to keep the length and add in some layering. I'm very particular about layering around my face and again, Alexis listened to my concerns and walked me through exactly what she was going to do before she began cutting. She did a fabulous job! The photo speaks for itself :) The other staff were also extremely nice and the new salon is beautiful. I highly recommend Lulu Salon!

I've been so traumatize with people cutting and coloring my hair, gave Baxter beauty bar a second try and they're still a mediocre salon. Never again! Terrible experience, curtain bangs are so uneven, the color is terrible and super patchy. Another hair cut and hair color nightmare. Sheree was my hairstylist, she only did a trimmed on my layers was supposed to do curtain bangs, which did not turn out to be curtain bangs. Not sure what to call what she did. I wanted an all over color, going back to my natural hair color however the color turned out uneven and very patchy. I'm so sad, I can't even style my hair anymore.
