May look small but large variety grate selection and sweet customer service loves that layout

When visiting the store, we were watched the entire time by an older female worker. As we shopped, she asked us if we were almost done yet, rushing us, and then proceeded to tell us five minutes later that she needed to take the items that we had to the front register. I've been to the store multiple times and I've never had to give a worker items for them to take to the register while shopping. As an African American women this made the entire shopping experience very uncomfortable, and I will not be spending my money there again. read more

I questioned a price on the receipt, one package was marked 4.99 and I was charged 7.99. Man behind the counter would not give me the difference back, or refund my money for that item. Selling things for more than they are marked is illegal. Guy was rude, and I will not be back, and would recommend others avoid as well. Bad business practices. Don't shop here!!! I have spent tons of money with them. went to return a pack of $100 hair that all we did was open it. didn't comb it or anything and the lady refused to give me a refund. Ghetto Ghetto Ghetto!!! The only reason I come here because they have an extensive selection of African American hair care products at a reasonable price. You can get everything here from Top of the line weave to dreadlock products. The service pretty much sucks, but I again I don't come here for that I come so I can have decent looking hair. When I'm there, there is always one male employee, surprisingly, knowledgeable about the female hair products. I've even called first and he'll have everything ready for me at the counter. I was looking to buy clip in extensions and I called this place to see if they carried a particular brand that I know to be awesome and was told they did indeed carry them and they were $10 cheaper then I had found anywhere else. When I got there the worker told me they did not carry this brand, but tried to get me to buy some almost twice the cost. I settled on some in my price range that I was told were top quality clip ins. Once I got home I realized they were not clip ins at all. I was able to swap them out for ones that were with no problem. However, ive only washed the ones I bought once and they already feel terrible. The extensions that I normally buy, last a minimum of 6 months. I dont think these will last me 3. Will not be shopping here again. If quality to more important then a good deal, shop elsewhere. read more

If it wasn't for the vast selection.... the man at the counter was incredibly rude, was on the phone the entire time, ignored his customers and seemed annoyed when people asked questions. The store is dank. But dangit if they didn't have exactly what i was looking for... Now if he could take a lesson from Wigland next door. They greeted every customer, were friendly, helpful and answered questions. No wonder they had a long line and I was the only one who made a purchase when I was in his store. read more

If I could give this store no stars I would. I recently went into the store and purchase hair extensions that were nearly 200$ I got them home and began taking the hair out and they literally started shedding like crazy, falling apart and very thin hair. I immediately went back into the store and wanted a full refund but the owner claimed he told me there's no refunds after that was not disclosed before I even was to purchase them which it's completely his fault! I went back and forth with him and literally he wouldn't give me the refund that I wanted. He kept saying "no refunds". Clearly I wouldn't of done business with any business that wouldn't let you get your money back after spending that amount of money. Bottom line. I wouldn't recommend going to this store. The man working there, not sure if he's the owner or not but is completely unprofessional and doesn't know how to run a business correctly. He doesn't even let you know there's no refunds. It's a sketchy place of business and all they want is to make a sell and take your money!! Now I'm out nearly 200$ because of a poor running place and lack of knowledge from a owner/worker that doesn't know how to run a business professionally. I stopped in Hair Land today to pick up some weave hair (very apprehensive based on the reviews I read). I'm transitioning from relaxed to natural and have never had a weave. My stylist gave me some basic instructions but I was in dire need of assistance when it came down to which product to choose. The gentleman behind the counter (so sorry I didn't get his name) was sooooo nice and helpful. He showed me multiple products and patiently explained the differences between each. I received EXCELLENT customer service! Granted, it was 6:30pm on a Thursday, so I would imagine they are much busier in prime hours. But based on the service I received today, I will be back!! read more

Most of the time they have what I'm looking for, not to bad beauty supply store, normally the same person there to help you, some days friendly & not so friendly, maybe because he runs the store, plus have to watch and help every customer. This place is awesome. I ran in yesterday to get a wig for the weekend and discovered they have two stores now. One for wigs and 3 doors down one for extensions only. I accidentally entered the extensions store, the guy was really nice. He explained where everything was how to get to the store I wanted. He helped me very quickly and directed me to the section I need. There I was quickly assisted by the nicest woman in the world. She greeted both another longtime client and me with a hug and thanked us for coming in the store She assisted 3 others and myself. She discovered that was a clients birthday, and she needed something for a Vegas trip. She immediately put on a birthday song for her and pulled out musical instruments played them to the music and sang to her. She continued to help her and me at the same time. We both walked away happy. She was mindful of budget and quality, she really listened to what you wanted very customer oriented. If I had to sum my visit up in one word.
