Not only did i immediately like it after she was done while I was still in the salon, but I still liked it after I washed it and played with it myself a couple days later. It didn't take couple of weeks to fall back in love with it. I immediately loved it! I also really like Natashia. I felt like she really listened to me and answered all my questions. She also explained her technique to me as she was doing it and how it would affect the end result. I loved that she gave me that level of understanding. She also explained blew dry my hair beautifully. I recently had a baby and couldn't go in for my full service because of my breastfeeding schedule, and she explained how we could modify my service for a shorter session that would get me to the next time we meet for a longer session. I can't tell you how much i appreciated that level of understanding and flexibility. I would definitely recommend Natashia to others, especially if they're looking for blonding services. The space itself was very clean and had a boho southwest vibe too. It's dry cute and Natashia told me that the owner made the drift wood light fixture over the hair-washing sinks herself! How cool is that! I also like that this salon has a transparent payment structure and you can choose a stylist that aligns with your budget. I also like that this information is readily available on their website and that it also tells you what specialty each stylist has. That information was very helpful.

TL;DR: $230 for a quick butcher…read more I'm pretty sad today. I went in to get my hair cut by Chloe yesterday and I specifically asked her not to cut too much off the top/back of my head. I literally pulled the section out to inform her at the beginning. However, it's been cut. I also dropped hints like "I finger coil my hair" or "when I set my curls I use a brush & gel & moose" however when she set my curls she just pushed up with a defuser -- which probably made the curl on the top/back of my hair kinky & ill-fitting to the cut, so she just cut it off. I think communication was given on my end, but not followed. I think her telling me "you set your curls, probably better than me" and then her following up with "I could probably do a better job" should have been indicators to herself that she *should* do exactly that: a better job. But instead she just cut off the spots that were not curling -- which were the same spots I expressly asked her not to. For us girls with curly hair, we know something like this can take months, if not a year to grow back... So, today I'm waking up pretty sad. I practiced being exact in my communication before the scissors hit my head-- I communicated through the whole process. Yet a poor job was done, and even expressed by her herself. My question: would she want someone to say out loud "I'm doing a bad job setting your curls" and "I could probably do better" and then proceed not changing course on her curly hair? My money is on no. I also think it's really important to point out that haircuts here are not inexpensive. They are $175, no matter your length, for your 1st cut. You would think that includes the time, patience, and communication-- but I didn't get that. I got a bad cut, that focused on time more than properly setting my curls. 0/10 would not recommend.

Their cancellation policy makes sense until you see how unflexible they are in extenuating circumstances. I've never had a business be so punitive charging 100% for a canceled service. I tried to reason with them regarding the nature of the booking and need to cancel or reschedule. My daughter has been late 10 minutes for a previous appointment, called ahead about it. Apparently this was all they could forgive and counted it as a cancellation. Another appointment my daughter was rescheduled by the salon last minute due to salon's need to reschedule and my daughter was was understanding. Now we have been charged a cancellation fee for something I tried to reasonably work out with them. Cancellation fee for a first time customer- my second daughter is 100% cost of service. They could not value our business enough to come to an amicable resolution. I will not go back. Which is too bad because we had liked the cuts enough to begin to schedule my other daughters. Typically I leave only positive reviews for businesses or no reviews at all.
