Because of her skill and care, I try to get an appointment with her when I visit OC, even though I live in NorCal. So far, very worth it! I think what makes it the most worth it are the little details in her service. She taught me how to style certain parts of my hair using the blow dryer, which I asked about because I liked the way it looked on a kdrama actress, LOL. Now I do it everyday and love it! She also provides great product recommendations. Lena's salon is petite and cute, but it feels spacious enough since she usually has one customer at a time. Lena has a gentle and sweet approach to hair, making recommendations without feeling like they're being forced on you. I really appreciate that. She has done a great job dying my mom's hair, which seems to be her speciality, but I've also really loved having my hair cut by her. The products she uses smell very good. I believe she is able to speak in Korean, Spanish, and English. Highly recommend her services!

I had originally scheduled an appointment for September 5, 2026, at 12:40 PM with Veronica on…read moreInstagram (@glowbyverooo) for just a haircut. Before booking, I was required to place a $20 deposit to reserve my spot, and shortly after completing the authorization application, I received my confirmation details via email. I then reached out to Veronica on Instagram to ask a few questions regarding my service. She took the time to thoroughly respond to each question with precision, knowledge, and detail. With this useful information, I decided to upgrade my service to an All-Over Color & Haircut. Later on, I changed my mind and decided I wanted to maintain my natural color and only proceed with a haircut. I also needed to reschedule because my calendar no longer aligned with that date. I contacted Veronica again, and she kindly rescheduled me for a new date: September 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Finally, the day of my appointment, I walked in and waited for only about a minute. Veronica greeted me with a positive attitude and seated me to begin my service. Before starting, she asked to see my reference photo. Once I showed her, she was very transparent with me upfront: she wouldn't be able to perform or guarantee that I would be 100% satisfied with the result because my reference photo did not align with her specialty. Veronica could have simply proceeded with the service and taken the payment, but instead, she honestly explained the situation. She even went out of her way to refer me to someone else who specializes in what I was requesting, and on top of that, she immediately refunded my $20 deposit. Instead of jeopardizing my service for her own benefit, she valued my time, money, and self-confidence by passing up a business opportunity. If you're reading this, I highly encourage you to consider booking your next appointment with Veronica because that level of integrity and honesty will definitely gain her an abundance of business opportunities and loyal customers. Thank you, Veronica! You're a heaven-sent angel.

Recently, I wanted to get my hair cut by her again but she gets booked so if you want your hair cut by her, book a good amount in advance!! Instead, I booked with Alice. Her english seems to be a little limited but I didn't mind at all, she was very kind and I just played her a video showing the haircut I wanted. I got a long layered haircut with some curtain bangs, and cost me $130. I only complain a little because I'm broke lol but otherwise I suppose it was worth it, because it's one of the better haircuts I've gotten in my life. Also, my hair was extremely long (butt length) but Alice handled it well and was also able to finish the haircut in about an hour. Would definitely come back in the future to see either alice or stacey! *note: at the time of my haircut (oct 2024) they were no longer working out of their DTF salon! they're now in brea.

My last had been more than 6 years ago, attempting to embrace my wavy-ish hair after years and years of getting magic straight perms. I tried - and I failed. My natural hair is thick, wavy on the inside, half straight-half wavy on the outside, and it just wasn't working for me. Booking an appointment over the phone was easy and I appreciated her upfront pricing and time estimate. My perm plus haircut took about 5 hours total. I was her only client the whole time and felt at home at her studio as she kindly offered me snacks and drinks. Ashley is clearly a pro at what she does, so hospitable, gives the most relaxing hair wash, and I'm so happy with how smooth and silky my hair feels now. Thank you, Ashley!

The second time I went for a hair color appointment and it was just as quality of a service. We talked through color options before she settled me in with the iPad and a coffee. I usually react to hair dye formulas so I've accepted it as part of the experience if I want my hair colored. But I walked out without any staining on my face and no reactions either. Because her hair was long. OK, if we had special needs or she wanted to cut a lot, etc. maybe it's more work. However, we just cut 2 inches all the way and had bangs. That's it. Nothing else. Mai did a good job, however the color was just not what I had asked for. I reached out to her that same night to explain and politely asked if we could adjust the color and touch it up. She responded right away and saw me the next day to fix the color, free of charge. I'm much happier with my hair now and very grateful that she adjusted it! The staff offered me snacks and Miriam especially was so sweet and made sure I was comfortable when washing my hair! Downsides, my hair does feel very dry and damaged now. They were pretty busy and my stylist was alternating between me and two other women, even though I had an appointment. It kind of felt like they forgot about me at times and they left the color and bleach in my hair for a very long time without checking on me regularly. Overall, I'm not sure that I will return because it is fairly expensive. But I do really appreciate Mai fixing my color!
