A few months later, I received a call from the owner telling me the masseuse who worked on me was no longer there and they were inviting clients back to see how much better the new masseuse was. I think throwing a former employee under the bus is pretty poor form but that isn't the reason I declined to come back. I just didn't want to spend money at a place that had already disappointed me. Since then, they've subscribed me to their text messages without my consent. I've unsubscribed multiple times and about every six months, new text messages arrive. The same goes for their email. I have unsubscribed multiple times and finally emailed directly last week to ask them to please remove me from their list. Yesterday, they sent me ANOTHER email from their list. They clearly don't care about spamming people and retain client information that they shouldn't. This is just bad business and highly unprofessional. I highly recommend you go anywhere other than Beaubien for a massage.

Depending on what was going in downtown Rockford it was sometimes challenging to find parking at the previous locations. It was especially difficult in bad weather or when running a little later. The new location is smaller, but cute and clean. The ladies that work there are all friendly. We've all had some great conversations. I like that they are honest with me about what my hair can and can't do when I come in with a particular idea or photo. I've had previous stylists at other locations that won't tell me that what I have in mind just won't work on my hair type, so I end up unhappy with the end result. With Becky I've tried numerous colors and shades, full highlights, only low-lights, baby-lights, some layers, no layers, trims, 6 in chops, and more. I'm always please with the end result.

The hair cutters are great but the masseuse is a disaster…read more Two of us made appointments with Roxy, arguably the worst massage therapist in the world. We have each had hundreds of therapeutic massages in our lives. Some have been truly life-changing, in a positive way, some have been merely OK. Neither of us have ever had an horrific "massage" experience like the one provided by Roxy No Last Name. She talked throughout the massage about her failing or failed marriage and six children. One of us had no music played; the other had gospel hymns. Neither enjoyable. Her massage "technique" is dreadful -- lots of harsh pulling and jerking that was downright painful. She then patted in coconut oil that was rancid and smelly. Nothing relaxing or therapeutic about her work. She is completely ignorant about the mechanics of the body. Avoid Roxy unless you simply want to have a really, really bad massage.
