But then, I was referred to Kimberly at Salon Sultry. She's an incredibly talented stylist, colorist, and just an all-round nice person. I always feel taken care of and get tons of compliments on my hair/color. Their pricing is very transparent and reasonable. They also run some fun seminars monthly with continued education like how to curl your hair, or makeup sessions and such. I've seen a couple of other stylists when Kimberly was not available, and everyone is great. Highly recommend Salon Sultry.

This place used to be called "D Hair and Spa." Some of the best massages I've ever had have been at this place. I am extremely impressed by their consistent quality across different massage therapists that I've had over the years. Also, their value is RIDICULOUS. They charge only $45/hour for their massages! I've paid far more for far inferior massages. This is absolutely my go-to place for massages.

EMILY DID MY HAIR AND I LOVE HER…read more I recently moved to the area and wanted to find a stylist closer to me. I mainly go to Emily for haircuts these days since I spent years bleaching my hair and needed a break. She gave me great advice on regrowing my hair and never once sold me anything (even tho they had in house products) which was really refreshing. I'd been to many salons that oversell items to you even if it isnt the most optimal for your hair. Emily is really friendly and absolutely gives great pointers on styling and what might look good on you. Everyone at the salon has been great, it's clean, organized and lively. They take card for payment and allow you to tip over venmo which is great. My only call out is I've had simple services like a bangs trim cost a fair amount, though my regular haircuts have been great. I've never left unhappy with my hair, so I'll definitely be sticking around!

Entered into the salon and even though the stylist was right there at the door she did not greet me or check me in. Assistant shampooed me while the stylist smoked, but it was the worst shampoo I've ever experienced. My hair didn't even fully get into the bowl and she didn't fully get my hair wet all the way. When we returned to the chair I could see that my roots were mostly dry. Then the stylist came in and did an okay consult with me, cut my hair a bit and started to dry my hair. This portion was okay but once she was finishing up it became clear that she was not even going to attempt to replicate the inspo picture I showed her. Just felt like I was rushed out, and process overall was awkward and uncomfortable.

Sorry Leesa, I've found Nikki at The Edge, and she is a fabulous hairdresser!…read more I initially decided to try The Edge because it's so close to our new home that I could easily walk there for my appointment. I did a search here on Yelp and found Kate D.'s raving review, and that settled it. I called for an appointment. The extremely friendly woman who assisted me on the phone was surprised to learn that people were talking online about her shop. I read Kate's review to her and she was just tickled. I knew instantly this salon had the kind of personality I'd just love. Nikki greeted me when I walked in, and I was instantly at ease with her. We talked like old friends. I've long believed that a good hair dresser needed three skills - the artistic, the technical and the social skills to keep somebody comfortable sitting still in a chair. Nikki has all the above in enormous measure! She's just great. I showed her a picture I'd printed of what I was after with my hair. She delivered the style I asked for perfectly, and she didn't twist my arm to buy pomade, sprays or mousse. Now Leesa, if you're reading this - I'm not saying you do that either... but some hair dressers do, and I appreciated the fact that Nikki didn't. I was a little surprised that the salon does not accept credit cards. It was no problem, though, because I was right next door to the 7-Eleven where an ATM patiently awaited me. My cut was extremely reasonable in price ($44) and I didn't have to drive a long way on 78 in ungodly traffic to have 25 minutes of relaxation and a great cut. So Leesa -- I'm sorry Sweetie. I love the skill and the talent you have, but I'm sticking with Nikki at The Edge. The Edge. Yeah. Highly recommended!

It's been years since I'd been in a great clips. Back when it was 6.99. Now it's $20-23. That's just the increased cost of things now. Plus $5 tip. Reviews I thought it was for women n kids but only men were getting their hair cut. No recent photos but reviews recently seemed great. The bad: Asked if the example photos we had were possibly for my daughter's hair type. Thick. Straight. And added we don't have curling irons or any products. Is this an easy style? Was told Yes and that she could do it. Ok great so she got started. Again very nice ladies working here. After finished my daughter covered in hair I was a bit surprised how the cut looked. I asked if there's something we need to know. Advice on how to obtain the example look. She responded well her hair is just so thick. As if to say no. I asked if the starting hair cut was a problem, she said no, only one small hidden area was too short but she said it was hidden so not an issue. So I'm not sure why she cut her hair so short and boxy. She thinned it a little. But if this cut isn't possible with thick hair, a simple Not recommended would have been nice instead of yes then attempt then act like it's great and when I ask about getting it to look like the example then say oh it's just too thick. No other suggestions on how to fix it or alternative cuts, just nada. Also no clean up of the hair at all, I remember being brushed off a bit after cuts and the place we use to go always cleaned up the hair. There was sooo much hair on my daughter's shirt n face. We cleaned her off in the parking lot. I still tipped 25% because again, she was nice and can cut better than we can and it's just rough financially for everyone, so I tip. Not sure how to fix this. We stink at being assertive so my daughter just said "it's fine." We spent the evening watching tutorials on how to fix it but seems growing it back out and maybe asking a few places their options for her hair type is the best solution. Not a repeat.
