I got a silk touch keratin treatment at hair bar cedahurst on January 16 2026 170 dollars and my hair looks just the same as before I got the keratin treatment After waking up on Saturday Jan 17 my hair was very curly on the ends I straightened it (or at least tried but to no avail  Next day same thing  Today , less than 2 weeks from the treatment My hair is frizzy, and curly unable to straighten the stubborn curls. This is characteristic of 2 or more months after a keratin treatment-not less than 2 weeks Yes I follow all keratin protocols and use only hair bar products on my hair - as I have been doing for the past 10 or more years since I am coming to hair bar  Very disappointed and def will not be going back again read more

I called the place to make an appointment- told the receptionist that I had a groupon. She told me NOT to buy it , she would honor the price if I took a screenshot of it. After traveling 45 minutes to get to Cedarhurst, I show her the screenshot, and she tells me she has to charge me $80.00 more for (what she called) medium length hair. I said that we agreed on the price and she said the fine print on the Groupon said it would be a little more for medium hair. I didn't use the Groupon and she would not honor the price. Needless to say, I was so aggravated, that I finally walked out. GO THERE if you WANT to get ripped off. I don't think the owner would be happy how they handle the customer!! read more

My straightening was done by Daniela who was excellent. She was professional, informed, nice, patient and she knew what she was doing. She did a great job. The treatment itself was nice. As long as you are aware that the straightener is activated by heat so if water touches your hair it goes back being a bit wavy. Reason why I deducted a star: I went here using a Groupon. I paid $99 (before tax) for the Groupon. Per the Groupon the cost is $99 for $200 worth of treatment. But there's no such thing as a sale ... you're paying somehow. When I arrived I was told due to my hair length and thickness I had to pay an extra $60. Per the Groupon I should have gotten $200 worth of services. Per the price list I only needed $139 or $189 worth of services (depending on which price list you look at). I'm a numbers person and I hate when it doesn't make sense. I will unfortunately not be coming back here. I have been a loyal customer since 2014 and have recommended this location to many people. I used to come twice a year because of the great price that they offered. I am sharing this update for those of you who may not know what the price from December 2021 to July 2022 went up $50. In December 2021, I paid $189.99 for a 24 Karat Keratin and yesterday I paid $239.99. As it takes me a long time to get to this salon, I wish that they informed me of this change prior to my appointment since they have a history of my hair type on file. They informed me when I arrived that my hair was thicker and longer than in December, which is not true because I recently got a haircut and my hair is a few inches shorter than it was in December 2021. I understand that the prices of everything went up due to COVID, however this is extreme. I have included photos of the receipts below. I also presented several different coupons for 10%, 15% and 20% off and they were not acknowledged. As a loyal customer, my coupons should have been honored. Needless to say, I won't be making the 45 minute commute to this location and I'll stick with a salon on Long Island since the prices are now equivalent to the salons closest to my home! read more

Zero stars. I'm highly DISAPPOINTED. I've been co.ing here for 4 or 5 yrs always hd great service. Today was different to say the least. I wasn't pleased with my service and when I said I wasn't the stylist and I got into a verbal argument HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. I worked in the service industry for over 30 yrs and my customers were always right with any service didn't like and we would work to correct it. i had a horrible experience at this hair salon, i wanted to speak to the manager but the two times i went there, he wasn't around, i spent $500 dollars just for them to ruined my hair, the first time i did keratin and balayage i spent $437 the lady that did my hair she was not professional at all, she didn't disclose the prices with me or anything not even when i asked her twice, i only went there for the balayage, not for the keratin but this lady insisted i should do keratin! she just ruined my hair didn't accomplish the balayage procedure! And the keratin only lasted a month i went the second time for a single process the same lady ended up messing up my hair she told me she knew what she was doing, if you really love and care for your hair please don't go to this hair salon they are going to damage your hair and take your money that's all they do there! their keratin ! it's not worth it they don't know how to do profesional keratin please don't spend your money and time here !!! read more
