Love this place so glad I found them. Great vibe and Linda is the only person I will ever trust with my hair. She just seems to understand exactly what I'm looking for and makes me look amazing! read more

I'm surprised this business doesn't have any reviews, seeing as it's a very popular and very busy salon in Hewlett. Judy took care of me. She did EXACTLY what I asked for and made a few helpful suggestions as well (unlike some hair stylists that will do their own thing and cut off 5 inches when you really asked for 2). I was extremely happy with my hair cut and blowout. Everyone is VERY friendly and customer service is clearly a priority. I really have no complaints. From the receptionists to the shampoo girls to the one that actually does your hair, everyone speaks to you with enthusiasm and conversation is easy. The receptionists are quite busy but they seem to have everything under control. Overall, a very lively atmosphere and I was happy to be there. The store front is nothing crazy and can be easy to miss but once you walk in, it's actually really very nice in there. A regular wash, cut, and blowout is $58, which I think is a great price compared to other quality salons. I really couldn't be happier with the services here. I don't get my hair done often, but when I do, it'll continue to be at Ambiance. read more

I was going to a salon in the city and my girlfriend recommended this salon, hands down amazing customer service. My colorist Ali and my hairstylist Kim are outstanding. I am so happy with my hair and overall experience. Highly recommend read more

I have been coming to Ambiance for years. Alison and her crew are the best on Long Island - excellent color and cuts. Alison has also assembled an excellent spa team who are fantastic! I tried "The Works" facial and it was amazing. Most importantly, Alison gives back again and again to the community, she's a Monday's at Racine salon who provides free services for those with cancer AND she supports women! read more

Been going to ambiance for years and have always had a great experience. Just used Jenna this week and my hair came out amazing.

If I could give this salon no star rating I would. When I entered the salon to bring my mother We wasn't greeted by the front desk at all, in fact it took 3 mins to be noticed. They couldn't find her name on schedule and seemed very unorganized. The hair washers at the front were very unprofessional and inappropriate carrying on. We won't be going back again even tho the blowout was nice. Not very high end at all!! read more

Ally and Michelle are like Madison Avenue colorists in this cozy salon tucked away in Hewlett. I love this place. Carmella is like a Madison Avenue hairstylist. She is an absolute gem. I get the best haircuts and always leave this salon feeling beautiful. Everyone here is so nice. I discovered this salon last June and it has been the best thing to come out of the pandemic for me. read more

I have been going to Ambiance since the Salons reopened during the Pandemic. I have been using Carmen and she is fantastic! My hair never looked this good in my whole life! I am very pleased with the protocols set in place as this is very important to me too! read more

I will happily continue to give my business to the staff and ownership at Ambiance. I've been frequenting this salon on and off since 1986 and I think it's at its peak currently. This is my exclusive salon so far. Ali and the other owners know their salon clientele better than any other I've frequented. They are all professionals. Nobody is ever waiting. They offer refreshments and an array of services. I've seen the incredible Bridal work they do. I've shopped there for cool and unusual gifts. Always pleased. Ali Artz, one of the owners, has also been an avid supporter of "Monday's At Racine's" which helps support women ok their journeys with illness. Book your appointment. You won't be disappointed. read more

Had my eyebrows micro bladed at Ambiance by Connie. They look amazing!!! HIGHLY recommend !!!

Got my hair colored by Ali and cut by Carmen-both incredible stylists. I have wavy frizzy prone hair, and they both knew how to handle it very well. Also, the salon is doing every protocol to ensure safety and cleanliness due to the Coovid pandemic in New York. I highly recommend this salon. read more

My mom, who has very short hair, went in recently to get her hair trimmed and get a touch up with her hair dye. She paid $250. She knew she was going to have to pay a bit more given the nature of this salon, but when she called she was assured it wouldn't be any more than $100. Absolutely absurd. My aunt went here for years. She was always told she had to pay an extra $50 because of how thick and long her hair was. Her hair used to be down to her waist. When she cut her hair and went back in to get a trim, she asked why she had to pay the $50 still because her hair was easily 11-12 inches shorter than it used to be, they said that was just how it is. No other explanation. EXTREMELY over priced, rude, and they do whatever they want. read more

I cannot say enough good, actually great things about Ambiance Salon and the staff who work there. The energy of kindness and warmth infuses the air and is palpable from the moment you walk in the door. I leave Ambiance feeling and looking my best. The level of courtesy, professionalism and expertise simply cannot be beat. Congratulations to Allie on creating an experience not just a cut and/or color or other beauty treatment. read more

Been going here for a year and love love Lisa (colorist). And everyone who works here are absolutely sweethearts!

AMAZING!! AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! The day of my best friend's wedding, things fell through with the make-up and hair stylist I had privately hired. The wedding started at noon and being that my sister and I were both in the party, we were in a real dilemma. I called the salon and they SOLVED all of our problems! PLUS, catered to our every need. Thank you for saving the day! read more

Came to this lovely salon and found Carlos!!! He is by far the best colorist I have ever used. The receptionists are lovely and always fit me in (I'm not a regular appointment kind of gal). Judy and Chrissy both cut and blow my hair ...I would definitely recommend either one of these stylists. So so happy here!!!! read more

Horrible attitude and overpriced. Never stepping foot here again. They act like they're doing you a favor by servicing you. The snobbery of this place is unbelievable. read more
