Every time that I get my hair done here it is AMAZING!!! Ali just did my great length K-Tip extensions and they came out beautiful! Sam did an amazing haircut that blended them so nicely and made me actually love having layers in my hair! Stevie, Penelope, and Pam give the absolute BEST shampoos anyone could ask for! If you have time for a facial it is definitely a MUST!! The staff is so nice and the salon has this very relaxing vibe to it! Cannot recommend this place enough! I'm surprised this business doesn't have any reviews, seeing as it's a very popular and very busy salon in Hewlett. Judy took care of me. She did EXACTLY what I asked for and made a few helpful suggestions as well (unlike some hair stylists that will do their own thing and cut off 5 inches when you really asked for 2). I was extremely happy with my hair cut and blowout. Everyone is VERY friendly and customer service is clearly a priority. I really have no complaints. From the receptionists to the shampoo girls to the one that actually does your hair, everyone speaks to you with enthusiasm and conversation is easy. The receptionists are quite busy but they seem to have everything under control. Overall, a very lively atmosphere and I was happy to be there. The store front is nothing crazy and can be easy to miss but once you walk in, it's actually really very nice in there. A regular wash, cut, and blowout is $58, which I think is a great price compared to other quality salons. I really couldn't be happier with the services here. I don't get my hair done often, but when I do, it'll continue to be at Ambiance. read more

If I could give this salon no star rating I would. When I entered the salon to bring my mother We wasn't greeted by the front desk at all, in fact it took 3 mins to be noticed. They couldn't find her name on schedule and seemed very unorganized. The hair washers at the front were very unprofessional and inappropriate carrying on. My mom, who has very short hair, went in recently to get her hair trimmed and get a touch up with her hair dye. She paid $250. She knew she was going to have to pay a bit more given the nature of this salon, but when she called she was assured it wouldn't be any more than $100. Absolutely absurd. My aunt went here for years. She was always told she had to pay an extra $50 because of how thick and long her hair was. Her hair used to be down to her waist. When she cut her hair and went back in to get a trim, she asked why she had to pay the $50 still because her hair was easily 11-12 inches shorter than it used to be, they said that was just how it is. No other explanation. EXTREMELY over priced, rude, and they do whatever they want. read more
