We love this place! We were staying across the street at a cyclists' B&B. After check-in, we were famished and went to Pizza Haidy. We watched the Egyptian owner roll out to fresh, ultra-thin crust pizzas, top them with a sauce, mozarrella and a variety of grilled vegetables. Within a few minutes, we had two of the best vegetarian pizzas ever. Later that evening, after walking around Florence, we were sitting on the balcony of our room overlooking the street. The owner had stepped out of the pizzaria for a smoke, noticed us and waved. I went down a little later and ordered two of his falafel plates. He cheerfully made two small mountains of rice and piled generous amounts of falafel, hummus, taziki, vegetables and French fries on top; one of the best MIddle Eastern plates I've ever had and all for 6 Euros per plate. Highly recommended. read more
