This review is exclusively for Jasmine. She truly saved the day for us after our assigned server ignored our table for almost the entire time we were there. This was our first time dining out with our 1-year-old baby, and we chose Haidilao because of the great experiences we've had there in the past. Unfortunately, this visit was completely different. Our assigned server barely checked on us, and we were left waiting for basic things throughout the meal. Jasmine, even though she had other duties and wasn't assigned to our table, was the one who noticed that the pot we requested for our baby had never arrived, our pots were running dry, and our table had become a mess. She stepped in without us even having to ask, took care of everything, and made sure we were okay. She even acknowledged the poor experience we had been having and sincerely apologized, despite it not being her fault or responsibility. Jasmine's attentiveness and kindness completely turned around what had otherwise been a very disappointing experience. We honestly would not have considered coming back to this location if it weren't for her exceptional service. read more

Tried this hot pot chain finally for the first time and went for a birthday celebration with a friend. Reservations are definitely recommended. We waited about an hour for a weekday lunch. Service was spot on and they were so generous with birthday goodies. Both of us were celebrating so we got a whole fruit platter and a cake slice for each of us. We took advantage of their $25 lunches deal which included a soup, plate of meat, plate of veggie, rice or noodle, and a drink. Totally worth it! So much food. We tried the tomato soup and the pork bone. Both were delicious. I loved the sauce bar, it has everything you need plus free apps, snacks, and fruit. There's also another station for free dessert. Absolutely loved! Will say the a la carte menu though is pricey. read more

One of my favorite hot pot places! This place is a bit on the higher end when it comes to price but it is well worth every penny for the service and quality! This place originated from China and is considered royalty service there. And they did bring that quality of service here. You will be well tended to even at the peak and busiest of hours. The place is pretty lively so it is good for fun groups. Don't sleep on the noodle dance either. Also become a member so you can get good deals like the buy one get one Wagyu. You best bet I ordered the buy one get one Wagyu. Check out all my photos to see just a small selection I ordered from their menu! read more

I've been to Hai Di Lao at Santa Anita several times now, and it continues to be one of my favorite dining experiences. The ingredients are always incredibly fresh, from the meats to the vegetables, and you can really taste the quality. Hot pot is definitely a meal you should set aside time for, but that's part of the fun! The restaurant has such a lively, energetic atmosphere that you honestly lose track of time while enjoying your meal. This was actually the first visit where something went a little wrong, they accidentally forgot to bring one of our items, and before we realized it, we were being rushed with the check. But as soon as we mentioned it, the staff immediately apologized, corrected the mistake, and went above and beyond to make it right. Everyone was so kind and genuinely apologetic that it completely turned the situation around. No restaurant is perfect 100% of the time, and what really matters is how they handle the rare mistake. Hai Di Lao proved once again why it deserves five stars. Amazing food, fresh ingredients, wonderful service, and a fun dining experience every single time. I'll absolutely keep coming back! Highly recommend this spot for everyone as well! read more

Very good service and tasty food was good experience and tasty. Good selection of stuff and quiet place.

Great service! Really like the ambiance. Good for a fancy dinner and a show. Food was good!

I really could eat this for the rest of my life and be okay. They still have great quality meat and vegetables. I don't like the seafood much cause it's kinda flavorless frozen seafood, and aside from the shrimp, every time I order some form of seafood I regret it. Kitty is a fantastic server, very attentive and helpful, and she was working her tail off yesterday. The service is generally good but the kitchen has been rough the last couple of times. We had missing items this last time, and we legitimately waited almost 50 minutes for the majority of our dishes the time before that. This was around 3:30pm on a weekday so maybe only one person was working or something. read more

Sad to say we were disappointed when we came here. We had been wanting to try this Haidilao location. It was expensive, ambiance was mid, and the noodle pulling show was not available when we got there around 5:30pm on a Saturday. We ended up paying more than if we had went to AYCE hot pot nearby, which was what we should've done... Service was great though, Zizi helped us before we knew we needed help, and kept our son entertained with toys so we could eat. Quality of meat was excellent and presentation of the food was great. Sad to report the secret codes also is not honored here read more

Made it just in time for Haidilao's before 5pm special! We got the Classic Combo for 1, which is such a good deal at $19.99 & $24.99 depending on which combo you choose. You still get the full Haidilao experience without spending a ton, and the portions were actually really good for the price. We had plenty of food and, of course, the service was great like always. Definitely worth coming a little earlier for the special if you can! For under $25, I'd totally do this again. read more

Parking: part of santa Anita mall. Park near Macy's. TLDR: none of the secret phrases work. Ran out of the 19.99 sets at start of dinner (suspicious). Soup was bland. Sauce bar cost extra. Soup cost extra. No snacks. One toy for kids only Note there is no kid safe way to keep the stove off. No fault of their own but just a note when bringing little ones. I went here with my friends with their kids and was just disappointed with the experience. I had been to the Puente Hills location and was surprise how different the experience was. The layout is nicer than the puente hills locations. We all came here because we heard it was kid friendly. It was too some extent. They ordered kids meal for us when we sat down but they don't tell you it is complimentary until we asked. While we were ordering the waitress said they had no more set meals. The set meals were 19.99 for soup, plate of meat, and vegetables. This was definitely odd cause everything else was in stock. So we were all forced to order off their regular menu. One of the many reasons to go to Hai Di Lao is doing the secret phrase to get stuff. We understand that not all phrases work and it is more of a fun thing to do since it is heavily advertised on social media. None of the phrases work. They had one toy to choose from that they gave the kids which is unlike other stores where they had plenty to choose from. The soup tasted like unseasoned chicken broth with stuff inside. I got the herbal soup and my wife got the mushroom. It leaves much to be desired. The meat was fine, not too fatty or lean. The vegetables were as expected. read more

Been to this location a couple of times and have always had a good experience here. From the dancing noodles, to their assortment of meats, the hot pot style here is always pleasant. The food is good and the service is great as well. I always opt for their tom yum soup and beef, lamb and pork. All the meat are fresh. The place looks clean and great. Will continue to come to this spot. read more

This was our first experience with haidilao hotpot! The service at Arcadia location was amazing and it was extremely personal with the service! Please ask for Jennie! The food was very rich and marbleized and you can order probably 4-5 entries and you'd be full! (Two people). We went during the weekday and right when they opened; no lines but people were already eager to come. The ambiance had nice background music but not enough to drown out a conversation. Overall, this was a first great experience' and more to come. read more

Haidilao Hotpot - Chinese Near Me - Arcadia, California

We decided to make the drive over to the Haidilao in the Santa Anita mall vs the one in Puente Hills because Puente hills is a deserted mall at this point. The Puente Hills mall does have excellent pricing for 3 tiers of AYCE before 5pm. The deal they have going on at the Arcadia location is the Hot Pot Your Way deal for $49.99 AYCE which runs before 5PM or after 9PM. Let's start by saying parking for Santa Anita mall in the area is a battle. Don't even bother trying to find parking in the structure on a Saturday as the cars inside looking for a spot barely even move, but we were lucky to find someone leaving outside the structure within 3 minutes. After making a quick trip upstairs to the second floor outside terrace, and a quick left, you are at the front of Haidilao. We arrived around 3PM and was seated right away. There were a decent number of patrons, but not super busy. Our server was ok at the start but she rarely returned after the initial ordering. We've been to many Haidilao across the world, and they are known for their over the top service, but this one? Very basic in terms of service. Not what you come to expect if you've been to other locations in the world. We informed her we were going to do the all you can eat, and she started the timer then spent the next couple of minutes explaining how to order from the AYCE menu. There's a 90 minutes limit for AYCE, which is far longer than needed most of the time, but we actually came close to it on this visit. We placed our order for angus beef, pork belly, 10 second beef, shrimp paste, enoki mushrooms, duck blood, signature tripe, tofu skin, raw tofu, some noodles, their tea drinks in the menu, and made our way to the sauce bar. The sauce bar is where every Hadilao excels at, this one was no different in that respect. When we got back to our table, they had our choices of broths already going, we went with spicy beef tallow and tomato broths. Our initial server came by with the water top off on the broths quite early, as we just started to get our food items at the table. She never returned after that. The nice thing is that the items you order off the tablet come out quick, and the staff that bring things out are fast and courteous. They'll even grab the done plates for you. We enjoyed our meal and all the food items were as you would expect. There seemed to be a server switch to our table towards the end as a male started to assist us. Our broth for the one of the broths was running super low and we had to flag him down to get it topped off. He assisted with the shrimp paste bag, as his method was fast and easier than just squeezing the paste out like frosting out of a bakers bag. We finished our meal and went to the dessert station, I completely didn't see the station as it's a cart with metal covers over everything. I was expecting to see a larger assortment, but it's literally a small cart with pudding, jelly, and red bean options. Overall, the experience wasn't bad, it just wasn't the over the top service Hadilao is known for. read more

The food is amazing. Ordering is a bit of a learning curve so I recommend you visit with a group to be able to try multiple soup bases and accompaniments. The servers are super helpful and very patient with our multitude of questions. I recommend the mushroom soup base, tom yum soup base, with the premium golden fish maw chicken soup base as the go-to. Don't miss ordering the Dancing Noodles as they are both inexpensive, entertaining, and freshly pulled at the table. I also ordered the combo for kid to get a small portion of noodles and some veggies. Also make sure to visit the nice dessert bar at the end. Finally, check for coupon and secret codes for added bonuses. read more

Love the food!!! I had the spicy beef bone broth and my daughter had the miso. With beef and pork belly. It came with a side of veggies and noodles. Pretty basics. But good. The Polk belly was delicious service was a bit slow even though they were very quick to seat us. Our server kinda forgot about us. Didn't come check in on us much. The greeter was nice and friendly. Can recall how the music was. If it was low enough to hold a conversation. Which is always good. Will probably come back. Hopefully next time we get a more attentive server. read more

First timers here. We were supposed to try their lunch all you can eat but when we arrived we were told that we only had like 30 mins to order, eat and pay. We were a party of 6 with 3 adults and 3 kids. And my 5 year old and 10 year old was already considered adult price. My kids don't really eat hot pot but I wanted them to try it but not for adult price. We ended up getting the one meat lunch special since we were short on time for the ayce. Then when our server was explaining everything to us, all I hear is it's extra for everything even the sauce for each person. It's kinda ridiculous. The decor was really nice. We gave it a chance but the food was eh. The broth was really plain compare to other hot pot places. And the meat was not enough. Although the kids did enjoyed the noodles. Other than that it was mid. I would rather go to Broth in Cerritos. read more

I've been to other locations but this was my first time at the Arcadia location. My friend and I came for lunch on a Monday so there was no wait. Service was top notch and our waitress was extremely attentive even as more people kept coming in during the lunch hour. I didn't realize Haidilao had their own kid's menu so that was nice. They were very accommodating with the little ones so I totally understand why parents love this place. Not to mention the baby apron is adorable. There's a mini bar where you make your own sauces and I like that it's always kept neat and orderly. As for the food, I do like that they use very clean, quality ingredients and are conscious of people who have allergens. It just didn't have the it factor compared to other places and the broth didn't wow me. The items available are very basic and adds up easily when you realize you want more food. read more

Great service! Very thoughtful touches all throughout the meal and high quality meats and veggies

Perfect location, excellent service, and plenty of seating options that make every visit comfortable and enjoyable. We ordered the tomato and tom yum broths, and honestly, I'd always lean toward tomato at Haidilao; richer, cozier, and just hits better Also, if you're dining now, Haidilao has a Zootopia set where you can get free chopsticks or a super cute keychain read more

Came on a Monday night (holiday season) and the wait was 30 minutes around 8pm. We were seated at 8:30pm and got started on ordering! This location does individual pots for the soup with MANY options! Prices are high but the quality is good, we spent around $50 per person with 1 meat, 1 fish ball order, 1 dumpling order, 2 veggies and 1 noodle. I would probably only come here for special occasions. Highlights - Golden Fish Maw Chicken Soup - wow this soup base was delicious! - Lamb - incredibly soft, high quality lamb that absorbed all the flavors of the soup base Overall the ingredient variety, sauce bar and experience are top tier. This is the first ever Haidilao Hotpot location I've ever been to that has AYCE! The Arcadia spot is tucked in a large indoor mall that isn't very lively besides the Round One or theater there, but trust me: Haidilao is structured similarly to many of the other locations with the standard booths, sauce stations, dancing noodle performances, and robot servers with waters. I came with some friends for a birthday celebration and they treated us stupendously. We got LOTS of food (mostly red meats, vegetables, noodles, and appetizers) in broth--the tastiest and most filling meal for a party of four. The sweetest part was them singing Happy Birthday to me and giving us a coconut cake on the house. It was very sweet and soft, though it tasted like it had been refrigerated or thawed out from the freezer for a while. Other than that, it was a fabulous meal and experience, especially with larger parties! read more

Don't go to this restaurant, ad scam promotion on internet. It is ad scam. For $24.99, you can get 1 choice of meat from 5 to choose. FOR $19.99, You get 1 choice of meat from 3 kind of meats to choose. So you get only one plate of meat about10 thin slices, chicken or beef or pork belly, and a small bowl of vegetable, and one can of coke or sprite, if you take some soy sauce or sesame paste from the sauce bar, they charge $3.99 per person on your table. I think it's a scam, for I and my family have been charged $3.99 per person. Otherwise, you don't even have soy sauce if you don't pay $3.99 read more
