Stopped in for lunch and had a wonderful experience! The space is beautiful and cozy. There's outdoor seating, too, but I chose to sit at the sushi bar.
The staff were all very friendly, and service was excellent!
I opted for the chef selection nigiri, which contains 7 pieces, and the octopus salad. The salad was very light and refreshing, with minimal condiment, which was nice to see. The portion was also relatively large. Since I was alone, the portion could probably have been cut in half and I would've been happy. I think it's the perfect portion for 2 or a table or 4 ordering other starters. Regardless, it was simple and delicious!
The sushi was so well-prepared, and they didn't skimp on the selection. There was uni, red snapper, mackerel, and toro amongst their picks, so it's a good value for the price! Each prepared in a way that compliments the fish nicely. The plating was beautiful, too!
Overall, some people may feel like it's a little expensive by BCN standards, but it's more affordable than a similar style/quality of sushi restaurant in the States, and on par with any other other high-quality restaurant we've been to in Barcelona over the years. If you're looking for excellent sushi in a comfortable environment, and good service in a spot tucked away from some of the chaotic parts of the city, HaHa is a great option! I, for one, can't wait to return! read more
