Sushi guy probably hates his job ~ I've asked on several occasions for a certain sushi roll or questions on sushi item. He hates any type of questions over the counter. He always says "no speak English". Which is totally a lie! I've seen him respond to fellow coworkers in English! Very bad customer service....so much for the "customer experience". I like Haggen. They have a great selection of local produce and other fun, regional products. Their prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They also always have seasonal toys to keep the kids happy. Their deli is great too. They are a good bet for great produce without going to the farmers market or produce stand. Everything is consistently good there. It's easy to find allergy-free foods too. The staff is friendly and helpful. I much prefer to shop here than any of the large, national chains. read more

This is a nice Haggens. Much better than the (closed) store in Shoreline. Great deli, meat, and produce sections. I love that they carry hard to find and gourmet selections. And the staff is very pleasant! This is a great PNW company and should be supported. There are markets that are a little better in the area, but not many. read more

Haggen's recently updated their store and offer a great selection of fresh and organic foods. They have a wonderful meeting area that is used by local groups or individuals to study. I love their deli section. They also have sushi and Chinese food. It's very good. The store is clean and the service is friendly. The price is higher than other grocery stores so we don't go there very often but it's definitely a treat when we do. read more

It's conveniently close so that's nice. They sell pence peaches, also nice. Judy is the coolest. They should promote her. The lady in the deli is also nice. But Alex, the meat manager is the rudest most unhelpful person there. If you hate your job then quit. Don't be spreading your misery around. read more

Pretty sure everyone hates their jobs here! Not one single person has ever been nice. The deli is really good, but you have to wade through all the attitude to order anything. I live in Lynnwood and loved Top Foods in Edmonds, so I have driven up to Lake Stevens a couple of times, giving the employees the benefit of the doubt, but can't give them the benefit of the doubt anymore because they are so rude every time I've come in. I will not make the drive again. read more

Love their organics section. It seems like their health food section is getting better and better over time. We have recently changed over to organic fruits and veggies and finding stores that offer a large selection is tough. It would be great if they offered grass fed meats. read more

Sushi Wednesday is the most amazing day to come in to this haggen. It is only 4.99 for most sushi if not all. I didn't check every platter but I got about 16 pieces of california rolls for 5 bucks! read more

I came here to shop for a few things I needed for dinner, I appreciate how they are very on top of shop lifters, because I can understand how it's frustrating. But I got profiled tonight as being one. I asked for assistance, I grabbed the two things I needed and walked to the register, I had every cashier and bagger waiting for me in the front aisle, once I came into the register everyone went back to their "stations". When I got checked out she asked me "so what are you cooking?" I bought cream of chicken and parmesan, I've never been asked what I'm cooking at any grocery store, including haggens. I get that might be their protocol, but I wasn't stealing. Sorry I was dressed scrubby and walking too fast, I was in a hurry because I forgot a few items for dinner that was cooking. I'm not even comfortable shopping here unless I look "up to par". I'm giving it two stars because the people I did talk to were very nice and directed me to my items I needed. read more

I was craving fish&chips...I've gotten it several times in Stanwood. A bit expense for a 2piece but love, love the fresh large fresh cod. I ordered 2 fish dinners & was told by a young lady it'll take 15 or 20 mins(also posted when ordering) but advised they only had 1 fryer. So.....I was given a order form & paid in advance. After 25 mins only 1 person (Chris) was behind counter & only person during dinner hour. I was told after 30 mins we are just now putting your fish order in.Really? Alex was mopping behind fryers & Chris wasn't sure what to do. (I know they're name because several employee came by to say hi & get dinner.) Alex came to help & emptied a large chicken batch, a lot of chicken was already in case. The cashier notice me still standing there waiting after 45 minutes for my order if I need help. I asked for the supervisors name of Deli dept.& told it was Sherry. Apparently she was on site but by now I was so upset,I told her thanks but I'll be in touch. I was given my order 50mins later with the coleslaw & fish on top getting wet. How disappointed I was with this deli dept.Fish is always great but tasted like in same oil as chicken & had a old oil taste. My complaint is not the girl or guy behind the counter they were very apologetic but dinner hour, wait time & quality standards, all unacceptable!! Good thing i wasn't a planted Corporate employee. I quit shopping here about a year ago, although they are the closest to my house, but there advertised prices are full price at checkout, was in today to buy two items both supposedly on sale but again at check out they were full price, this place has been doing this for a long time, next time check your receipts especially the produce department. Very unethical way to do business along with illegal. Get it right guys people do pay attention. read more

Had to give at least 1 star. If i could i would give them negative 5 stars! Worse experience at this store ever this weekend. I went in to try and get 10 pounds of the hatch peppers thinking that as advertised they would be 1.67 a pound. But if they roast them for you tack on an extra 2 dollars, nothing stated in the ads about this. In addition to the price i stopped by to try and get the 10 pounds roasted and was told it would be about 10 to 20 mins so i ran around and did my other errands and then came back about 40 mins later and they still werent ready. Hung around the store for about another 30 min and still nothing. I then decided to leave since i just waisted 2 and 1/2 hours of my day waiting on this overcharged service. Finally got a call at about 430 saying they were ready. I just gave up and didnt even want to drive back in just at the thought of having to spend another moment in that store. Also when calling to ask about any information for the chile peppers could not seem to find anyone that knew any information pertaining to the hatch peppers. I will never give this store my money again. read more

I love this store -- products and service are great and prices are not bad. However, recently the Haggen District Manager decided to discontinue the Wednesday 7% Senior Discount for two locations. This is one of them. The reasons he gave were all over the map and illogical. Among them are: Low participation (although every Wednesday the store was packed with Seniors), planning to remodel (irrelevant), just a trial (although he said they have no plans to reinstate it). They don't advertise the discount, so you need to know about it and ask for it at checkout, which may have some impact on the "low participation" report. I'll be shopping at the Marysville or Everett Haggen stores now, as they still have the discount. Maybe some comments to the District Manager could get the discount restored for all of us Seniors? read more

HAGGEN GROCERY HAS A WONDERFUL FLORAL DEPT. Living in the Midwest searching for a florist to send flowers to friends going through a difficult time in Lake Stevens. I called Haggen in Lake Stevens and spoke to a wonderful gentleman in the floral dept. He thoroughly quizzed me on what I wanted, made some great suggestions and created an arrangement. My daughter went to pick up the arrangement for me and was blown away! She sent me a photo and it was absolutely gorgeous! The family have commented over and over on the beautiful arrangement which has brought encouragement, joy, and even celebration in a time of difficulty.
