Entering the store, a few of the sections were picked over (such as loaves of bread). However, I lucked out in my search as I was after a few snack baked goods made by Franz (a bakery/baked goods chain founded in 1906 in Portland, Oregon). Checking out a few of the snack areas, I went with a 9-pack of limited edition sprinkle sugar cookies as well as a cherry fruit pie. Tax was $0.00, the total was $4.24 ($2.99 for the cookies and $1.25 for the pie), and I paid with cash. Both items were tasty. The cherry flavor was intense and the crust flaky like a pie crust. It was folded over with the filling forming a pocket inside the crust, making the pie much less messy. The sprinkle sugar cookie was soft with sprinkles baked in and a drizzled frosting on the top of the cookie. It was sweet and rich and made my palate and tummy happy.
