Dr. Hagbom is an excellent doctor and I would trust ANYONE in his office (including all of the receptionists, administrators, physician assistants, and nurses).
I am a woman who was likely to have a high risk pregnancy when he accepted my case, and I had many complications during my pregnancy. Dr. Hagbom safely (and with humor and confidence) delivered my first living child. He, his partners and his staff all had plenty of time to manage my case AND my nerves.
He allowed for a dula, two accupressurists, my husband and my sister to be in the labor/delivery room (yes that's one room and no one was cramped). And that's in addition to Dr. Hagbom and the nurse (Alex, who was spectacular).
I have had one child since, and switched doctors due to a change in insurance and location. I would sooner pay cash than have anyone else deliver my child ever again. He is simply the most thorough and compassionate doctor I have ever met (regardless of discipline) and his staff is well trained, organized and reassuring.
At the point of delivery, if Dr. Hagbom hadn't been available, I would have easily been as comfortable with any of his partners. I am convinced they were on the same page given the cohesion that is so evident in their office and the charting practices which are religiously followed.
My daughter will be three in September, and I write this review today filled with the same respect and gratitude I felt the day she was born. Yes, you do have to walk through the hall with a urine cup in hand, and the office could do with a makeover, but I promise you, if only 10% of the doctors out there were more like him (and their offices were more like his), there would be a revolution in the medical industry across the board. read more
