We were greeted by the lovely Maxine (Mrs Cobb) who was kind and welcoming. She showed us and let us sample a few of the different types of dates available, and even showed us how they grow and are picked from the palm trees. (They do offer tours that you can sign up for which we might have to go back for). Their property looks like a beautiful palm-filled oasis and is very worth visiting. We purchased 2 different types of dates that were both delicious and unique in their taste and texture. We will definitely go back and visit again soon. I'm assuming that's because it was the end of the day and it looked like they were running out of apple cider and other materials. I also got the apple cider popsicle for $2 which was a good deal. It was good, but I didn't like how the juice separated from the water during the freezing so it tasted like regular ice by the time I got to the core of the popsicle. For food, I tried their Strawberry Banana Sweet Bread and that was my favorite thing! It was not too sweet and moist. It was $6.50, but not too bad for a whole loaf. The interior was fun and rustic. There are several things to shop for from different baked goods to nic nacs. The service here was pretty good and the staff seemed nice and personable. There's some parking out front as well as some picnic benches and tables with nice views of the mountains and foliage while you enjoy your treats. Overall, a good stop for some casual shopping and to enjoy a sweet treat if you're ever in the Oak Glen area.

Everything is so good -- nothing like the flavorless junk in the supermarket. It's a little out of the way and possibly hard to find, but it's honestly only like five minutes from the freeway. You actually get to talk to the guy who grows the produce -- Mr. Rios. He said he has leased the land for 37 years, and he took the time to show us around and show us the 400 tomato plants he just planted. He was proud of his work, and he told us what fruits were coming into season in the next couple of months. Needless to say, I definitely look forward to return trips.

The $45 per person covers entry, in addition to one apple cider can (a pretty large one), an apple treat (we got apple pie made at a local bakery), and a bag of apples. We got there about half an hour before opening and were one of the first ones there, which was helpful when choosing/picking apples as later on the farm got busier. The apples were a fair size--lots of damaged ones but I'm sure that means they don't use any pesticides or anything. The farm also had two cute and friendly kitties that came up to us! Overall, I would recommend this farm for a nice little getaway from LA city life. I would recommend booking a reservation and arriving early, as parking can get packed and the farm does get pretty busy.

We were able to take our time picking apples, and we were able to find lots of red, juicy apples to bring home! There was a cute, friendly cat on the farm along with a pig and 2 mini horses. The scenery nearby was so pretty, and there were plenty of trees to pick apples from. I really enjoyed my experience, and would love to come back next year!
