Given the name and aesthetic, it would make more sense to play music inspired by Frida Kahlo's tastes--Mexican folk, mariachi, jazz, or even classical--to enhance the experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They understood English well, even though they primarily spoke Spanish, which wasn't an issue. The menu was written in Spanish but included clear English descriptions, making it easy to navigate. Overall, it's a pleasant spot with potential, but the ambiance could be improved to better match the concept. The huevos rancheros plate was okay, but there were a few disappointing details. The beans tasted like they came straight out of a can and were served in very small portions, along with the potatoes. The potatoes were cut into very large pieces and were under-seasoned, which made them less enjoyable. Overall, it was filling, but with better seasoning and more care in the sides, this dish could be much better.

The manager came off a little rude but then apologized after we stepped out of the restaurant. I would go back if it's a party of 3 or less people. It seems as if they had the food just sitting there until the last plate was ready. 2 of the 10 plates were cold to the touch. Most of our plates were missing items. I ordered the chilaquiles Los del patron with the chipotle sauce, eggs over medium and ribeye. They forgot to give me the eggs but brought them out after I made them aware. The food was definitely on point in flavor. The chilaquiles were stuffed with cheese and I loved it. I ordered a cafe de olla but it was just coffee with cinnamon. They could've told me they didn't serve it there. I then ordered a Paloma. Definitely one of the best I've had in Laredo. Overall the service was mediocre, the quality of the food was okay, and the flavor was on point. I might give it a second chance just because of the chilaquiles and Paloma.

Fresh patty with perfect amount of seasoning. The bacon was crunchy and the slice of ham enhanced the flavor. The Grande is filling and the fries were pretty good too. A bit smaller and they would have reminded me of the Freddy's frozen custard fries. Only thing I would do differently is ask them to toast the bread more. Looks like they threw it on the grill enough to give it marks. I will definitely be back if a burger craving hits me while I am in town.

The ambiance was the only thing keeping the atmosphere afloat. As far as the service... very lackluster. It took +15min to get our drink order, an additional +30min to get our appetizer order, and almost an hour later to take our order for dinner. To add the cherry on top, my medium-rare 10oz ribeye looked like a horrible salisbury steak. Gordon Ramsey would've sent that back to the kitchen, despicable!! I don't mind paying an exuberant amount for an amazing dinner but this was not the case. Totally overpriced for such an underwhelming experience, don't recommend.
