Decent Habitat store but pretty small compared to many others I've been to. Only a few pieces of furniture unfortunately - was hoping to browse some night stands/lamps. They had a lot of paint, doors, insulation, etc. I did end up buying a paint roller, paint pan, and a drop cloth (total $10) but was hoping for a bigger selection of larger items. If you are into recycling stuff, this store is must. If you are not into it but wanting something cheap, this place is it! It is not only for used recyclable items but also has brand new items at awesome prices. Doors, counter tops, cabinets, paints, plumbing parts, electricals.. you name it and they will probably have it. I got a section of drainage pipe and galvanized nails for $2. There is no way I can buy 3 foot of pipes at local box store. I helped by recycling items that probably ended in landfill and also helped my wallet! read more

We will never bring anything to them again for donation. Went to drop off a Washer and Dryer to them today and there was a truck full to unload that they wanted us to wait for them to unload first. We asked if we could just unload them and leave them by the door and was told we needed to wait for them to finish unloading the truck. Asked for the Manager and she said she was the manager. She acted like they were doing US a FAVOR by taking the donations instead of being thankful for the donation. We have taken several things to them to donate over the years but NEVER AGAIN. Absolutely terrible customer service to people just wanting to donate something instead of being thankful. Would score them lower but 1 star is as low as I can go. read more

Walking through doors is similar to opening a treasure chest. This place is full of gems. They have everything you could imagine . Be prepared to be wooed. Plan on walking around and finding items that you won't be able to leave without. Even better if you get the item home and it not quite what you thought, you can return most items. read more

So my wife and I are getting new furniture, and we had a sectional that is in really good shape. We have had it a couple years and just wanted to change the layout of our living room by being able to separate the the two pieces. We did not want to go through the trouble of selling it, so we decided to donate it to habitat. We called and set up an appointment for 7/8/23. They called and confirmed we would have a visit between 9am and 12 noon. Well the guy shows up, you can see from his body language he doesn't want to work, he had a star tattoo on his neck amongst others, we cleaned the furniture as if we were buying it ourselves. He walked over to the furniture and said he can't take it because it had a cat hair on it! A cat hair. This is what the web site states, "We do not accept upholstered furniture with smoke or pet damage." Unbelievable. There was NO pet damage on it! Neither my wife nor I smoke. NOT A SINGLE THING WRONG WITH IT!!! So we took a perfectly good set of furniture and paid someone to take it to the dump. I will now only donate to ARC. Good job pickup guy!!! read more

This is like a thrift store for remodeling. Some things are new some are reused but the pricing is great. We picked up a new toilet for $30 and some great light fixtures each under $25 that would easily go for hundreds a piece. The staff is very helpful and always really nice. They don't always have exactly what we need but they are one of the places we go to check out first before heading to the big box stores to drop 10x the money! read more

They definitely want way too much for the "newer" items. Whoever is pricing these items will need to review the comps first. But their selection of used items has been diminishing, and they need more donations! read more

What a cool idea. I've seen Habitat Re Stores before, but I have never visited. My wife and I stopped in just to see what this place was all about. We walked out with what would normally be more than $100 worth of home improvement stuff for about $50. Because the Re Store probably relies heavily on corporate and personal donations, I can definitely see it being a little hit and miss as to whether you'll find exactly what you need. But if you are diligent, the savings is certainly worth while. I got a $50 bag of grass seed for $25. I'm not going to spread it now, but it's not like it will go bad between now and March/April of next year. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I will definitely return on a regular basis just to see what I can scrounge up. read more

I really like these little spots. First, it's not Goodwill. Goodwill sucks for a lot of reasons. This is not a review about them. Habitat is great. They have some really nice stuff from time to time. Their prices are very fair, and like any bargain store, you never quite know what to expect to find. We just stop in when we're on the same street simply to look. We've found some nice art, decent rugs, great living room furniture, full outdoor furniture sets, and then everything all the way down to the interior toilet valves and guts. It's totally random. I like this place a lot, and we frequent it because of it. read more

Wow. We were in the market for several items for my son's college apartment. We had exhausted Craigslist, Ikea and many other places to no avail. Not only did this store have a great selection and fantastic prices but the staff was BEYOND AMAZING. Every person we came in contact with was kind, energetic, and helpful. What a great experience! And to learn that 100% of proceeds go to Habitat made it even better!! Thank you staff for being wonderful! read more

The Aurora Re-Store is a great place to do community service. The entire staff is very friendly and welcoming. The store provides free bagels in case you need a little snack and there is a nice break room. It's also interesting to see the items that people donate and the process of pricing and selling in order to help build homes. I would definetly recommed the store for shopping or volunteering. read more

We just finished a complete remodel on our Aurora condo and went to Restore first for everything thing. Well, after they sold us a broken washer and refused to let us return it, all that has changed. They even had another washer, same model with the same problem and I told the staff and they said that they would still sell it. At this point I would be surprised if they try to resell our defective washer. They are out for profit. We will never shop here again. read more

Manager on June 16, 2016, clearly has no customer service experience, very rude with customers. And, don't buy their paint...it's watery crap that doesn't cover, just runs down the wall. read more
