Sometimes you just need a little break from shopping! How neat is this mini lounge in Nordstroms! I think you can definitely beat the crowd here versus an outside restaurants if you're just looking for a quick break. There are a few tables and bar seating. My Sister and I sat at the bar and were served promptly by the nice bartender. Prices were okay. The drink I ordered was good! I ordered their BLUEBERRY LAVENDER MARTINI ($10) and my Sister ordered a beer ($4.50) and they gave us pistachios to snack on which was really nice! None of that cheapy peanut stuff lol. They also have food available but we weren't hungry so we didn't try anything. I'll have to try a dish next time! read more

I had a rough morning shopping and needed a break. My life is hard, what can I say. I ordered a cocktail, which came out quickly and was delicious. I also ordered a hot small plate (meatballs), and that took some time to come out. I was there when Habitant first opened, so it's possible that they were still trying to figure out how to make dishes more quickly. Genius move Nordstrom. Who wouldn't want to enjoy a cocktail before, during, or after (possibly all 3!) shopping at Nordy's. The bar tenders are all very knowledgeable in a wide array of exotic drinks. I've simply told them a type of liquor I enjoy and asked them to surprise me and have tried all kinda of tasty drinks as a result. Visited over the weekend, this is a tiny place in the middle of the 2nd floor of Nordstrom so you're surrounded by a sea of clothes while dining. I stood there for a while but no one came to seat me so I seated myself. Then no one showed up at my table although only half the tables were full. Finally the server came after 15 minutes, and had a slightly brusque manner, it was almost like order your drink and get done with it. This service experience was vastly different from the Seattle Nordstrom cafe and The Grill in the Seattle basement. We had ordered 2 beers and the tacos. The tacos were good and the beer was the bottle version so I can't speak to their cocktails. The food menu is very limited, it's mostly for people shopping the store, not really a full blown Tapas bar. We were planning to order more but the disenchanted server made us change our mind and we headed to another place. I will not be coming here again based on my service experience. Until now I associated a high level of service with Nordstrom cafes and restaurants, this visit changed my opinion. read more

I'm obsessed with this place. My boyfriend and I have been here several times over the past year. It so much fun to go shopping before or after drinks ;) They have fabulous cocktails, I always get an aviation. I think they took it off their main menu but they'll still make it. I have cravings for the shrimp sliders and we live in Seattle but will go over to Bellevue just to get them. We've also watched football here on days we don't feel like going to a sports bar. Basically it's my happy place and I hope they put one in the downtown Seattle Nordstrom soon! read more

The food's ok but not great. We ordered 4 dishes for 2. The chicken tacos and the smashed grilled potatoes were good. The meatballs and the garlic-butter Brussel sprouts were so-so. The meatballs were too salty, partially burned black, including the bread that came with it. The Brussel sprouts had too much butter - basically soaking in it. It took definitively more than 5 minutes for the order to come, unlike the speediness observed by another customer, and we were not there at a peek hour. The bartender forgot to refill my glass; I had to ask for the water instead - otherwise the service was good and indeed friendly. I may come back for a drink while my wife is shopping. I am unlikely to come back just for the 'restaurant' itself. read more

Ok. I got a remarkable gift card to Nordstrom from my sis for WAY more than I have ever spent in a single store. So! I arrive at the original and what is said to be the best Nordstrom of all... not knowing where to start and surrounded by 16 year old girls who's jewelry is worth more than my car, I brave the first few areas with animal-like caution. Then, in the distance, an oasis. This is seriously one of the chillest bars in the whole of Bellevue. This has nothing to do with the fact that I desperately needed a drink or that it's tucked into the women's dept, but because the staff here is totally upbeat and friendly. Not even slightly bored or bothered and genuinely seemed to like that they were there.. Dan (seemed to be the manager or lead) was exactly what you would want in a pro bar man. Skilled, friendly and funny. Kyle was attentive and did an amazing job on my martini. If and when I end up in Bellevue Square again, I'm drinking with these guys for sure. Top drawer. read more

a bar in the mall...a bar in nordstrom's to be more specific. how come this works for me? no idea why but for some reason it does. i like to come here on the weekends and people watch. food is meh and a not cheap (for an average working stiff like me, at least) but drink pours are generous (grey goose over one big *ss ice cube is my weapon of choice). there's a certain relaxed atmosphere at this bar versus the old pub style bar that used to be in the men's section (is it still there? iono!) that's hard to explain. er, just go check it out yourself. and buy me stuff at nordie's while you're at it. read more

I am a single father from New York. Was in town on business.I am ashamed to have been such an advocate for Nordstrom. Always eating in the Restaurants, my daughter is a such a fan! Saw this new bar concept, was really excited! I was told my daughter and I could not sit and eat, they told me she is a Minor and not allowed...... She is 2yrs old! I did not complain we just left... Had time to kill right before dinner at John Howie's and stumbled across this bar right in the middle of Nordstrom. Yep! It's a full service bar that offers great cocktails and delicious appetizers. Their shrimp sliders are TDF! Seriously.. I still think about them and am drooling. I also like their version of a Moscow mule which comes in the traditional copper mug. :) It's hard to pay attention when you're surrounded by lovely clothes but the nice bartender is chatty and very personable to my husband and I so it made it even better. read more

Ok. There is nothing better than shopping at Nordstrom, finding great things for my daughter who looks good in everything that are on sale then having a cocktail. Unfortunately must have hit at a very busy time as no service or eye contact for 10 minutes! Stopped in Nordstrom for the first time in my life to finally sample from their food offerings. Now I know why old men will gather there while their wives shop. My drink selection was a Nor'Easter which was a nice twist of a mule. The bartender staff was very nice and social, and they give you evil, delicious pistachios to snack on while you wait. Will be sure to stop in again on my next time. Nordstrom has a magic formula by putting a bar in a full service department store. Service was slow as the waitress catered to her friends making them drinks to try that was then thrown away because they didn't like it. Menu is limited and drinks are expensive. It's not a true restaurant, so don't go if you are looking for dinner. Appetizers we had were good. read more

Right in the middle of the Bellevue Nordstrom there lies a bar. As a marketing professional and social media enthusiast I find this to be pure genius. Remember the days when you were shopping at Nordstrom and in the middle by the piano you could always find a few men lounging around looking bored and irritated? It's been my experience that if I keep my husband occupied, entertained and happy long enough, I can buy whatever I want. I discovered this one Christmas Eve doing last minute teenage girl shopping when I suggested we go to the Grill while the competent and professional sales girls finish up our shopping by leaving them the credit card. The girls were thrilled to shop for us and had a better idea what a teenage girl would want (given we did pick everything out and just had them accessorize and box everything). He was so happy to sit in the Nordstrom Grill having wine and the French Dip that now he thinks he can just go in and hand his credit card to one of the sales people and go to the bar. With Habitant now at Nordstrom, the bored husband problem is solved. It's a win, win, win. All 3 of us are happy, Nordstrom, hubby and me. What about the food? What I have had is unique and delicious. I especially liked the polenta French fries. The drinks are good, the ambience is great, and there are huge flat screens so you can shop while the Seahawks are playing. What's not to like? By the way, we didn't have to return any of the gifts. Excellent food with a full bar!! I am not a drinker, but I can tell you that this place has its own menu (vs. their restaurants on the second and third floor of Nordstrom). I ordered the fish tacos and I have never had such a mouth watering, flavorful taco, EVER! I don't know how they make their shells, but trust me, it has just the right crunchiness to it but at the same time, it has the right texture and thickness. You can't go wrong with their menu. My husband ordered a different dish, but I cannot remember what he ordered. I do know he loved it. My mouth and attention were too busy concentrating on my tacos. Good luck finding seating here on a Saturday or Sunday, though. read more

While the food was good the attitude of the staff and their service was below par. After we ordered drinks I waited over 10 mins to get it. With four people on staff and a half full bar I expected faster service, but I have gotten faster service at a crowded bar Friday night than here. I also had to flag down a different waiter to order food after waiting 20 mins to from sitting. I was really hoping this place would be cool since I've been dying to come here since I turned 21. But sadly an airport bar had better service and price than this place. read more

many things in this world are made to complement each other such as turkey and gravy or sick nights at home and zombie tv marathons. and then there are those things that elevate each other, adding two individual values to a sum that is greater than its parts; namely breakups and jeff buckley or shopping and cocktails. with that being said, more retailers should capitalize on the latter and here's a little parable on why: once there was a young lady who had long pondered the idea of marrying her two loves of fashion and cocktails. as she sipped on her spicy mezcal cocktail of smoke & heat and gazed upon mannequins of lanvin and valentino, she built up the liquid courage to meander next door to the house of shiny things and came out with rosy cheeks and quite the bobble. so where's the moral of this story? maybe things didn't work out for nordie's this time, but just imagine the possibilities if tiffany's had a bartender?! read more
