I'm a die hard Habibi's Birria fan, but the last 3-5 times I have gotten food here, it has been disappointing. Typically, I order the queso birria taco combo which comes with 3 queso birria tacos, radishes + limes, consome, and a little container of hot sauce. Though I order the exact same thing every time, it has been inconsistent almost every time - recently. The tortillas aren't fully drenched in the consome anymore. Sometimes the cheese is extra cheesy or extremely crispy, there has been less filling this time around. The hot sauce WAS my favorite. I would buy the big containers of hot sauce, but have since stopped. It's usually a creamy orange with a nice spicy kick that still has good flavor, but it has tasted different every single time for the last 5 visits. Sometimes it's bright red and is just pure spiciness with no flavor, today it was separating between the oil and the contents; I tried mixing it together, but it acted more like a chili oil. This has deterred me from visiting Habibi's more often, I miss the gas station, that never failed me. Also, this is not about service or staff, just me not being satisfied with the food lately. read more

Tried Habibi's Birria and let me tell you... flavor-wise? Certified fire. Wallet-wise? Mild emotional damage I ordered the 3 Quesa Birria combo for $18.99, which came with consommé, and added a single asada taco for $6.50. First bite of the quesa birria and it was over. Crispy, cheese-crusted tortilla with that deep, slow-cooked beef inside. The meat was tender, juicy, and loaded with that rich, chile-soaked flavor that sticks with you in the best way. Dip it in the consommé and it levels up instantly. Savory, slightly spicy, beefy goodness in liquid form. That dip is not optional. That dip is law. The asada taco? Simple but done right. Well-seasoned meat, good char, fresh toppings. Clean, classic, satisfying. Everything tasted amazing. No complaints about flavor at all. The textures, the seasoning, the consommé... all on point. But here's where I have to be honest. I'm used to the Hanford quesa birria that are literally double this size for $4, and tacos for $3. So paying $18.99 for three smaller ones and $6.50 for a single taco definitely hits different. Are they delicious? Absolutely. Did I enjoy every bite? 100%. Did I look at the receipt and pause for a moment? Also yes. So I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars Top-tier flavor. Great execution. Just expensive for the portion size compared to what I'm used to. If price isn't your main concern and you want seriously tasty birria, Habibi's delivers. Just know you're paying premium prices for those premium bites. read more

You'll order through the kiosk and the food here is amazing! It's a mix of Mexican and Mediterranean food. I would say their Mexican cuisine is very tasty and it's legit. Food comes out fast and there's minimal interaction to the service - they're generally friendly! It's clean but since the door is open, there are flies that can come in.. read more

Amazing Gyro plate! The meat was flavorful and hummus was perfection. The place is clean and the customer service is great. I didn't give the 5th star because the white sauce was slightly sus and pita bread hard AF. Will come back to try the rest of menu next time! read more

The food is here is so yummy! I really like the birria from here and I think it's hard for me to find birria that tastes good and isn't too oily. The quesabirrias are my favorite for sure. This place was great. I took my son-in-law here. We had a great meal unfortunately my daughter did not come so I had to have the meal without her next time. She will come because I am very bored without her and it's just me and my son-in-law. read more

Wow, respectfully, one of the inedible foods I have eaten. The meat in the burrito was completely overcooked and had a very nasty taste. The ingredients were not fresh at all, and one of the burritos they forgot to put rice in. The food is very overpriced compared to every other Mexican restaurant. read more

I had a 2nd date with the guy that I'm currently seeing here as he raved about this place during our 1st date. The place was neat and clean. There wa was good music playing, and we both got the 3 birria tacos and he got a Coke while I got the Horchata. The food was very yummy. The Horchata was perfectly sweet. The time with him was fun and lovely. He also got us churros so that was a sweet treat. I definitely would come here again if I happen to be in the area. :) read more

Habibi's was the place my friend and I decided to eat we first hung out together. It was a no brainer after we compared the ratings, comments, photos from other people and the prices from other nearby restaurants. We happily chose Habibi's Birria especially from the delicious looking food. I was looking for a new place that sold Quesa birrias. After door-dashing Habibi's to school, we fell in love with it. Since then, whenever I crave a Quesa Birria or burrito, I go straight to Habibi's. It's been our thing to go to Habibi's and order our usual foods together. Although they forget our extra side of sour cream, it's alright because the taste and customer service makes up for it. Their red sauce is spicy for me to handle, yet it's pretty addicting to add onto everything I eat. I have tried so many things here and there is yet to be something to disappoint me. From the food itself to the desserts, they all continue to exceed my expectations. The place itself has some upbeat music playing all the time which is nice when standing in line or waiting for the food to finish. My go to when I'm unsure what to eat. read more

Today's service and food was just not it today. Ordered ahead with a pickup for 7:10 pm They didn't have pastor but they called when I was driving once to ask what meat I wanted instead No hellos when I walked in...was told "you need to wait" when I approached the cash register. Place was empty...so not sure why. 4 minutes later I was asked if I was waiting for an order. Our tacos were all super skimpy (barely any meat) ...not sure if this was because we ordered 8 taco Tuesday tacos because they aren't this skimpy on the regular). We also got 8 tacos and only got one container of orange sauce (that barely had any sauce in it) read more

So yummy! Really enjoyed the tacos and the rice, and staff is super friendly :) great taco Tuesday prices.

I Went there 3 pm on Friday and was closed but poster on the restaurant says it closes at 5

Don't miss this unique spot for tacos and Falafel wraps and good Hummus. Close to the entrance to the San Mateo Bridge on the Hayward side at Clawiter Road- On the south side frontage road. Super nice customer service. The food and sauces are spicy and delicious. Try the unique Falafel Taco! read more

So glad I found this place - really cool Mexican/middle eastern fusion. Not to be dramatic but this is the best horchata I've had in so long lol. I LOVED the al pastor burrito i got - so so delicious. My friend ordered the quesabirria taco combo and that was very good as well, although the beef was pretty tough/not tender, which was unfortunate. Still, I appreciate the unique options they have here being a fusion restaurant (I thought birria ramen was just a food truck thing, but I've always wanted to try it!). I'll definitely come back and try more things on the menu, although I may stay away from their birria/beef due to the toughness. read more

I ordered this through DoorDash, so I ate it at home FYI. The meat was really nice and tender, the noodles were regular Tapatio cup o'noodles, but the thing that was missing was the broth flavor? It was almost there it was just missing like extra sabor? Maybe salt or some sort of umami flavor, I don't know. It was good, but was missing just a little something :) read more

I was a Habibi's patron when they were still on Jackson! I came to check out their new location and I liked how spacious it was. They have lots of tables and space to dine in which is different than the other location. Though there is more parking here, I had to park at the end of the lot because there was a lot of cars! I called in and picked up but had to wait a while because there's not a separate pick up area and there was only one person working the register. It was pretty busy during lunch time. I usually order the quesabirria combo which comes with 3 quessabirras. What I like about the new location is the quessabirria tacos are usually more crispy than when they were on Jackson. They also put a good amount of meat which is nice. They're spicy orange sauce also sooo good but pretty spicy. I'm a huge fan of Habibis and happy to see it growing. read more

Took an old co-worker here for lunch. I had the wet gyro burrito. I must say it rarely had any meat in it. I wasn't a fan at all! The meat texture of the lamb and beef wasn't for me. It was soft. And really processed. It didn't taste good at all. Won't be ordering that again! The wet sauce was too runny for me. He had birria tacos. He said they were decent. However, friendly staff. Maybe I'll try something else when in the area. read more

I was a big fan of this place back when it was in a gas station in the Jackson Triangle, and now that it's in a new location, the food quality hasn't changed at all! It's still my favorite birria place in Hayward, even if it's more out of the way now, and whenever I need to satisfy a craving I always go here. There's more indoor seating here than there was at the gas station, and it also has a cute backdrop for taking photos inside. read more

Been wanting to try this place for a while now and finally made it! Food did not disappoint! We were greeted by a super nice lady when we went in to order also. We ordered the queso Birria taco plate and a Birria burger. My husband loves the Birria burger which was covered in fried cheese outside the bun and surprise guac inside. They are very generous with the amount of meat in the tacos and gotta love that double tortilla. Also had the horchata and walnut baklava, which were also delicious. We will be back often! read more

*Open for indoor dining, outdoor dining, and takeout* Can't decide between Mediterranean food and Mexican food? Have a craving for a little bit of both? Well, you're in luck! Habibi's Birria has both! There is a full Mediterranean menu and a full Birria menu. Service and staff: - Order at the register and they'll bring the food out to you with your number - The cashier was helpful with questions about the food in regards to spice level, size, etc. Food: - Birria Burrito: heavier than most burritos due to the Birria, this meal was quite filling. This burrito definitely doesn't lack in flavor, and is given an extra umph with the limes, consome, and sauce provided - Birria Taco Combo: comes with 3 Birria tacos and consome. Also quite filling with the combination of the Birria and the cheese - Horchata: enjoyed the horchata, but it was a little bit on the more mild taste side (little watered down) Miscellaneous: - There are about 4 tables outside for outdoor dining - Private parking lot shared with other businesses - Street parking if the lot gets full read more

Get the GYRO WRAP!! It may not look tasty in my photo but it sure as hell was! They have a large selection of taco options and are known for their Birrias but the Gyro keeps me coming back. Okay, hear me out. The lamb and beef meat is nice and tender. It has the right amount of meat to wrap ratio. (That matters if you're eating with one hand). Now the main character here is the delicious sauce they use. Nice tangy yet refreshing flavor to it. The hot sauce on side is not overpowering. I added a side of fries to help balance out the meal. (Potato is a vegetable y'all) It makes a perfect lunch/dinner option. read more

I actually have never heard of this restaurant before. On a Saturday, I was driving around the Hayward Business Park and happen to see that they were open. So, 30 mins before closing, I decided to go in and try the food. I forget what used to be at this location. I remember when they built this narrow strip of businesses. Lots of businesses have come and gone. I hope Habibi's Birria sticks around, because the food is pretty tasty. I ordered the Birria Burrito Supreme. It came with a free dish of consommé. Some places actually charge extra for this dipping broth. This tasty burrito is made of rice beans, pico de gallo, sour cream, cheese, and guacamole. I cut it in half to reveal the beautiful colors of the ingredients. Very tasty burrito, not salty or dry. The stewed meat is tender and juicy, and easy to eat. Service was great! 30 minutes before closing, they take the time to tell me about the menu items, what drinks they have, and they suggestive sell. Food was ready in 5-mins, and I was on my way. The place has a fairly large dining room, and a small patio outside. Overall, a 5-star experience. Why 5-stars? I have worked in this business park for over 20-years. When a good restaurant opens here, you need to help keep it. Located near Hwy 92 x Clawiter Rd, on Eden Landing Rd. read more

This place was fire!!! I had gotten this before they got an official location and it was great then, but now it's on another level. Their location is in a really nice area and perfect to go with some family as it's not a busy area. All of their meat is halal, and the food is amazing. I ordered the beef birria tacos and it was on another level. There were so many other items on the menu I wanted to try, but I'm glad I left some things so I can go back. They have free parking in the lot outside, service was professional and quick, there's a decent amount of seating, bathrooms were clean. Definitely recommend and I'll be back! read more

Habibi’s Birria - Birria Tacos - Mediterranean Near Me - Hayward, California

Habibi's Birria's second and newest location off Highway 92 at Eden Landing. This location has its own storefront (not in a gas station) with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and expanded "Mexiterranean" menu. Habibi serves a lot of their dishes with the flavorful consommé...basically, if you're like me (never fail I drop, drip, spill something on my top!) you'll need some Spray n Wash on hand to get any oil stains out later! Anyways... Habibi's is popular for their: quesa-birria tacos with consommé which I've tried at their other location so decided to try something new: :: Babaganoush - eggplant dip - smoky, lemony with lavash and toum: (Lebanese garlic oil) :: Mixed Plate - lamb and chicken with hummus, rice and lavash - not quite like their picture as it didn't have any vegetables (zucchini, bell pepper) but plenty of sliced red onions, sliced pickles and green olives. Comes with 3 pcs of lamb and 3 pieces of chicken that didn't have much seasoning but nicely cooked. (3.75/5) - condiments of hot sauce :: Birria Burrito Supreme - smear of guac with beans, rice and their beef birria and consommé - this was a good try but thought it okay...needed something flavor and texture-wise (3.5 stars) so decided to add some toum and it definitely made it yummier! Overall, 3.5 - 4 stars for the items above and will try their wraps on the next visit. Just a tip: If you love GARLIC ask for the TOUM (garlic sauce) and dip everything in it as it really elevates their dishes! Located in the same strip mall as Oishii Sushi, Antigua Coffee, Edgewater Pizza, Papaito in the Industrial/Business Park area as you drive toward the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center...great area to stop to grab breakfast/lunch after you've gone for a nice stroll near the shoreline. read more

Habibi's Birria opened recently at Eden Landing in Athineon 's former spot. indoor seating looks similar, neglible renovations. small outside dining area available. parking not plentiful. offerings: fries, quesadillas, mulitas, tacos, tortas, nachos, burritos, plates & ramen, mediterranean entrees, sides, weekend specials. separate Mexican and Mediterrean sections. food isn't fusion. eats: menudo plate (16.99) it's actually a soup -medium sized serving 5ish tender pieces of tripe, 3 small pieces of pork feet, 2 was just bones. really hot chili sauce on side. 5 street corn tortillas. -garnishes of raw onions, parsley, herbs, radish slices, lime squeezes. -broth didn't have much depth. overall quality slightly above average *quesabirria tacos are the draw here. read more

Amazing service and always has the best horchata. Would highly recommend and fully halal

This place is tucked away in Hayward off the 92 in the industrial area. I have heard the story of the hot sauce the have, in fact I have seen grown men sweat after using it on their burritos. SOO, I had to try if for myself. I got a super burrito with Al Pastor. Ok I did ask for Carnitas but he must have hit a wrong button. No big deal... . The burrito had good flavor but was dry. Nice and fat I will give it that. Hot sauce, I jumped right in a poured a ton into the gap from my first bite hole on the burrito. That was a error! Now it started with great flavor but just as I could enjoy that the heat hit me in the back of the head like the time my mom throw a frying pan at me. WOW! Had a kick, lips burned and my tongue felt like it was swelling up.. LOVE IT! Ok, the chips and salsa, dang! Home made chips served with pico and Guac. Not doubt my fav part of lunch. The menu has so much good looking stuff on it I have to go back. We got there right before lunch crowd and then a lot of ppl showed up. Every that came out to them looked good. Will return for dat burn! read more
