My wife and I recently did our fall cabin trip to Walker Minnesota, and on the way back near Garrison Minnesota, the bearings went out on my boat trailer tire, stranding us on the side of a very busy two lane highway. We called autosmith and got driver Tyler, who came down and loaded our boat and trailer onto his truck and took it a mile up the road to a gas station to drop it until we worked out a way to get it back to the Minneapolis twin cities area. Once we set up a new account with AAA, we set up a tow from Garrison Minnesota down to the twin cities to get my boat to my shop to redo the bearings and put new tires on. We were fortunate enough to get driver Tyler again, to bring the boat down to the twin cities I want everybody at autosmith, and anyone who reads this, to know, that driver Tyler for this company is an exceptional employee, who exhibited not only professionalism, but compassion for the situation we were in, was personable, and handled both tows with incredible expertise and professionalism, and took a huge load off our minds for everything we were dealing with on our way back from the cabin. My daughter's Cadillac XT5 was losing contact with the key fob and would not start. We had them reprogram the keys in the past . My daughter works long hours -early to late., and needs the car for work. She called Brent Mackcow (service manager) and they discussed a receiver that can go wrong beyond the key transmitters. Brent goes above and beyond to help you. He ordered it, sent emails/texts outlining what ordered and when it arrived -next day. My daughter was able to drop it off early -before hours, and they got right on it. It took a couple of hours, and when done they even drove to Nisswa to pick her up. She did not have to rent a car. We also recently bought another XT5 from James in sales. It was a special optioned version and we really like it. Dondelingers has been great to deal with and we will be customers for years to come.

Alignment Service Resulted in Broken Part, Immobilized Vehicle, and Unacceptable Cost…read more We brought my mother's car in for a standard alignment. It is an older vehicle, so we understood there was a chance of stuck bolts. The shop called us to say the car was ready, but when we went to pick it up, they informed us that the **camber bolt had been stuck.** To loosen it, the technician applied heat, which unfortunately caused the bolt to break. This damage was done **without our permission** or a prior phone call warning us of the risk involved. We were simply told after the fact that the car was now undrivable and had a major problem that needed fixing. We were given two new repair options: 1. A "simple" fix for $220. 2. A more complex repair (if the bolt couldn't be drilled out easily) costing $700. We went in for a routine alignment and are now left with a vehicle that is not aligned, cannot be driven, and requires a repair that we cannot afford. We are now at a complete standstill with no transportation. We believe that once the technician realized the bolt was seized, they should have **stopped work immediately** and called us to discuss the potential risks (like breaking the bolt) and to get authorization before using destructive methods like heat. Performing this action without consent and then holding the vehicle for a costly repair they caused is unacceptable customer service. We hope the owner will consider working with us to resolve this issue fairly, as we should not be held fully responsible for an unauthorized action that has now rendered the vehicle unusable.

They were closed (It was after hours around 5:30 - 6 PM), but I tried calling anyway. Luckily, Kyle answered! I asked if he could recommend an after hours place to come fix the tire or give us a tow, and he offered to come out and fix the tire himself! We were so lucky to blow a tire so close to this shop! He was such a lifesaver! I don't know what we would have done without him! The tire was completely shredded, and the rim was bent. There is no way we could have driven to another shop.
