I asked them to send their top-notch expert technician, and I was very fortunate that they sent Jason and his excellent assistant (Ricardo) to my home the next day. We had American Legend build our home, and it was the worst experience we have ever had with a…read morebuilder. Throughout the process, I had to constantly monitor construction to prevent major mistakes. At closing, homeowners are only given one hour to inspect the property. If you don't identify every single issue during that short timeframe, the builder will later claim you accepted the home "as is." On the rare occasion they do agree to address a problem, the work is performed cheaply and with poor craftsmanship. The jobsite was never properly maintained. I personally found beer cans, gloves, chicken bones, wood, stones, and bricks buried in the yard under the sod when repairing dead spots. When they replaced and stained part of our fence, they used mismatched stain colors, leaving half the fence one color and the other half another. The yard was improperly graded, with construction debris left in place and simply covered with soil. As a result, the yard sits 5-7 inches higher than the sidewalk and driveway. The overall workmanship reflects speed and cost-cutting, not quality. I have yet to meet a single American Legend homeowner who is satisfied with their experience. Proceed with extreme caution before signing a contract with this builder.
