I went here yesterday to get a manicure. I really just wanted to get my cuticles taken care of and not have to pay a fortune! This place is great. It's a bit hidden but the facility itself is new and clean and it doesn't have that chemical smell that lots of other salons do (one of my biggest pet peeves). The lady that did my manicure I believe is "Hannah". Altho she didn't speak very much English she was nice and I think she did a good job. My only complaint about the manicure is that I wished she put another coat of nail polish on because even with 2 coats you can still see through the nail polish (I noticed this after I left the salon). I would have gone back to ask for another coat but I didn't have enough time to make it back before they closed. The regular manicure costs $12 which includes cuticle clean-up and color. It was the cheapest one in the area that I could find and I am happy I found this place. I will definitely be returning whenever I need a manicure. My only negative feedback for the place would be that the people that work there need to be more inviting and more engaging. With the exception of my manicurist, everyone else seemed to be unhappy to be there and didn't say much. It's always nice to go to a business where the people are nice, engaging and warm! read more

I began coming to this place as it was right next door to my gym and was convenient. The first few times I loved the way my nails looked, and I guess I was not paying much attention to the way customers were treated. I am not sure if she is the owner, but one of the women working there, was extremely rude during my last visit. Now, I understand it gets frustrating when people walk away with wet nails and come back and ask the nail technician to fix it, but she was complaining about me sending a text as she was doing my nails. She continued to be rude throughout my visit and though I gave her a $4 tip she did not seem satisfied. By far the best and most professional salon I go to (the only one I go to) Tracy is superb !!! My nails will last up to 3-4 weeks (with hiking and digging for rocks apart of that time). I cannot say enough about H2O in LaCanada. If you make an appointment, they are within 3-5 mins of said appt (which as we busy folks know is important). They also do walk ins....which is great...but be prepared to wait.... for they are always busy....which is a sign of a great nail salon!! read more

This is a great nail salon. It is very clean and they sterilze their instruments. Most nail salons do not sanitize their instruments and just reuse them on each customer. This one does not, they have a sterilizer on the premises. The salon is very clean and spacious. I highly recommend this spa. The prices are great and the massage chairs are very relaxing! read more

My mom and I went in to H20 to get mani pedis. We got in quickly, but as soon as we sat, they worked on our nails for about 5 minutes. But then the nail technicians kept getting up and tending to other people. I got my nails gel and my toes normal. My mom was supposed to get a mani pedi, but she only got a pedicure because it took too long. Flash forward two days, my gels chipped. And flash forward a week, my gel is already peeling.It was the worst service and the worst quality of any nail salon I have ever been to. read more

I've been a regular customer for years, but I only get pedicures. I don't go to socialize, so my one and only criterion for whether or not this is a good salon is the quality of the pedicure. It's good, I'm good, everyone is good. There was one time when the technician applied some lotion to my feet that made them burn like h**l. I didn't complain because I thought that the lotion would leave me with smoother feet. It didn't! So the next time I went in, I told them not to use that stuff on me any more. If you are an African American woman, don't expect to get quality service here. I've been here before and near the end of my services I experienced a lack of courtesy. Today I gave them another chance.. I walked in, and a woman (without a smile) said in a cryptic voice, "how may I help you?" I informed her that I'd like to get a pedicure and manicure. She looked away from me and said "the wait...30 minutes. Soon after she said that, a Caucasian woman & her daughter walked in, the same employee said with a willingness, a helpful attitude, eye contact and a big smile, "how may I help you?" And the lady told them that she didn't have an appointment, but needed to get a manicure and or pedicure. Without hesitation, the same employee told her it would only be 10 minutes. My first time here. I thought they would do a better job from what I heard from friends. "they do an amazing job." I did not like it at all. I got gel and a pedi all for $50 +tax. Not a bad price for what I should've gotten. The gel lasted for 4 days. My pedi I can't complain I felt clean. The girl (terry) had alot of detail. But the lady with my gel did a horrible job. When I left I still felt my dead skin on my hands, I could still see it. I didn't feel clean after, how you should feel after a manicure. The worst thing was that the gel didn't even last for a week (4 days). I went to a nail spa down in Montrose by coffee bean and they did a lot of a better job than here. I have tried this place several times, but I just can't recommend it. The people are not friendly at all, and it's messy. The last time I went I made an appointment for noon on a Saturday. When I walked in, they were understandably busy, but I made sure they knew I had an appointment. the work is pretty mediocre. nothing to complain about but nothing to rave about. I literally only come here because it's convenient sometimes but, when given the opportunity, I go elsewhere. The owner (or like main manager or whatever) is incredibly rude and just seems lazy. she really seems to have no desire to work and always seems to want to do the least amount of work possible. in itself, the entire experience here is not enjoyable but if you can look past the main lady, it shouldn't be too bad. this is definitely a good place to know about if you're ever in the area and kind of pressed for time. read more

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience at this nail salon. The owner was rude and did a poor job. For my waxing I stated that I have sensitive skin, that I can't take very hot wax. The owner ignored this and applied extremely hot wax to my face without letting it cool slightly. My face was burning for 24 hours after the wax and had 2 areas where the skin bled. It was awful. I tried to be tolerant I didn't complain. She started my get manicure. Her other appt walked in and she stopped doing my nails said she had another appt and proceeded to do her nails. I had my sleeping son with me and so I had limited time anyway...at this point I paid for that wax of which she charged the full amount even after I explained her mistake. First and last time coming here. The woman who started my gel manicure was extremely rude, not just to me but to other customers who approached her with questions as well. They were very packed and she was rushing everything. When she started to polish I asked her to clean out from under my nail as there was obvious dirt. She got all huffy and puffy and said "clean what, your nail so short nothing underneath". Then I had to point it out and she did a half a** job. I was asking her opinion on some different color combos I was thinking of and she was absolutely no help and actually told me in a demanding rude tone "pick it yourself". Thankfully after the first coat a guy stepped in and filled in for her because the 1st coat looked like a 5-yr old painted it. Ok, this is an update. I do believe it will be the last time I'll be going here. I am really disappointed with the whole overall experience, my lady who did my pedicure (the only reason they get 2 stars) was pretty good and I was pretty happy with the outcome. My manicure in the other hand wasn't a bit good at all. The lady, Kim, had a scrunched up face and seemed to hate the world. She hardly spoke a lick of English and really shouldn't have been there at all. I had my gel nails taken off because another place did such a horrible job amd almost ruined my nails. This lady, Kim, did an awful job removing them leaving some of it on. I just gave up trying to get her to do it right. Not returning is my only other option. Also my chair didn't work correctly., second time this happened. Why have massage chairs if they dont work? Come on people get your act together!! So you want a mani pedi. You would expect them to have enough staff to do both at the same time, not finish with one then start the other. I don't have an hour and a half to devote to their staffing problems. No standard either on how the polish is applied. It's a crapshoot if you will leave with a finished look or if you will have a gap between your nails and cuticle as if you look like you need a manicure before you have even left the salon. I've been here a handful of times. The price is $30 for a mani/pedi which I think is fair for the area. I've never been amazed at the service but really haven't found anywhere in La Canada that I've found to be better so I've kept coming. My last visit may change that however. I was really surprised when I walked in with my boyfriend and saw another gentleman getting a full on pedicure! I actually got my boyfriend to just try it. He and I had been hiking so our toes were pretty gross. I decided to do a pedicure while he just lounged in the massage chair and soaked his feet. The service was very nice. I didn't have anything fancy done, just a nice clean pedicure with a simple clear coat. They let me stay in the soaking tub for a while which felt great and I also had a manicure done afterwards. Got a great mani/pedi and eyebrow wax. Kelly did my manicure and waxing though I don't know the girl who did my pedicure. The place was clean and reasonably priced and friendly.
