On a very hot and sunny afternoon in 2011, my boyfriend and I decided to visit Thunder Valley's newly opened pool area. As we approached the entrance we heard live jazz music playing and when we got to the front gate there was no one to greet us or charge us an entrance fee. We had both just returned from a trip to Vegas where entering a hotel pool area will run you at a minimum $40-$80. Granted, you might get to see a wicked good DJ and rub shoulders with a few celebrities, but judging by the looks of this place, Thunder Valley pool area had a lot of potential! We walked in and saw a total of maybe 10 people enjoying the free daybeds in front of the empty cabanas surrounding their huge pool. We sat down, ordered some margaritas, and when the waitress asked for $10 we chuckled and decided we'd immediately order another round."Just keep 'em coming!" my boyfriend shouted. As we sat in the sweltering heat we were debating why this pool wasn't playing modern music, why there was no DJ, why there was no crowd, and whether or not any promotions group in the area would grab a hold of this place and throw a Vegas style pool party?! A year later H2O was born! Party goers of Sacramento, REJOYCE! There is finally a day party classy enough and diverse enough to attend on a sunny Sunday afternoon! H2O has it right booking DJ's Alazzawe and SN1 who generally rotate weekends. They've hired more waitresses, more bar staff and they've added a small food tent near the main bar. Caution! When ordering at the bar there's a 2 drinks per person limit so if you're ordering for a group of people make sure enough are present to get your order done at one time. Prices range from $4 to $7 a drink depending on what you order. That's cheaper than any night spot downtown! Wait is short, and staff is approachable and attentive. You can grab a cabana for $150 apiece, but make sure to book your reservation well in advance as they sell out every weekend. Day beds are free, so are the towels, but you must get there early in order to secure a spot! Not kidding, place is packed! Party starts at 2pm and ends at 8:30pm. The crowd DOES NOT leave until the pool literally shuts down. They have different cash/prize giveaways every Sunday. They also have an awesome photo booth that gives free paper prints as well as an option to share pix directly on your Facebook and Twitter! All in all it's an awesomely fun time considering you're in the Sacramento area, getting wasted for less than $20 a person, listening to good music, capturing some embarrassing drunken moments in the photo booth AND are able to catch some rays on a day bed that's FREE! Phew!!! I think I've said enough. If I haven't convinced you that this is the place to be on a Sunday afternoon, you can always take your happy butt down to that dirty river and play in the mudd with the rest of the kindergarten! I know I'll be chilling by the pool, sipping on a margarita and getting my (card) roulette fix come Sunday! Cheers friends and happy partying!

You won't find another party like this except for in Vegas. Yes, I made the comparison. It's pretty legit! See for yourself!

Including forming wood selves, painting walls to match perfectly with art work and blending a marble style fireplace out of concrete. His work is creative and he takes his time to make things perfect and the right style for your home. If you are looking for an artist, Robert would be my first choice hands down.

I think people who come here are are mostly young families willing to drive an extra distance to Sacramento for school districts and retired people no longer commuting. If you belong to either group of people you will love Lincoln and its small town feel. Lincoln is to Sacramento what Tracy is to the Bay Area. Its just a little out there and so larger shopping or attractions will take a 5 or 10 mile trip to the bigger city - the closest one being Roseville. Mello Roos - yes please. Your gonna love it. The only way to avoid it is the outskirts of Lincoln. But in general Mello Roos and Lincoln go hand in hand. No SMUD either - so expect a slightly higher electric bill. Luckily all new builds seem to include solar. Thunder Valley. You can't talk about Lincoln and not include a mention to this huge landmark. You can see it from the main highway. The lit up hotel tower sticks out as it is in the middle of nowhere. Noteworthy is also the new music venue. Historic clay pipe business downtown. A must see attraction. Incredible how long they have been in business and their reach in how they supply so much so far a distance. Fun for the whole family. Lincoln is a great place. One of the fastest growing cities and for good reason.

It's the type of low key establishment you'll find in neighborhoods of many big cities. Their hours good too, especially for folks like us who eat meals at atypical times... with a broad menu available most of the day for whatever you choose. We came with friends and sat outside on the patio for the first time. It was absolutely delightful with a nice cool breeze and just the right outdoor temperature. Coming here for a very late lunch, after 2pm, there weren't many patrons which meant we didn't feel rushed or crowded and settled in for a nice long stay, which was quite fine with the staff and manager who seemingly welcomed it while not needing a table. The back of the menu has lunch specials, available until 3pm. Right under the wire, we ordered. I got the Veggie Sandwich with a side salad and my choice of Italian dressing which came on the side. My salad arrived first and was larger than expected and quite good. I liked the variety of greens and the addition of a couple types of beans, pinto and garbanzo. A very nice hearty and fresh salad. The Veggie Sandwich was delicious with a blend of vegetables, melted cheese and a robust sauce (mayo & mustard). It came warmed on foccacia bread. Being a bit difficult to eat and messy as things slipped out onto the plate an ample amount of paper napkins were provided. They just know and prepared in advance to be asked for some! It was a very enjoyable meal and the only reason for one less star is how mainstream it is as a restaurant, very consistent yet nothing out to have a 'wow', unique factor; which frankly is very OK. If you haven't been, do try it.

We kicked things off with the artichoke dip, which is always a fantastic starter--warm, flavorful, and a perfect way to begin the evening. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and made a substitution to linguine instead of potatoes, which turned out to be a great call. The dish was well-prepared and satisfying. The only slight question mark for me was the sweetness of the sauce--it had a different flavor profile than I've experienced elsewhere--but it was still very good (I cleaned the plate). My brother went with the Italian calzone, served in three generous portions, and he absolutely loved it. The marinara sauce deserves a mention on its own--rich, well-balanced, and a great complement to the dish. My wife stuck with her usual Pasta Toscana (no surprises there), and as always, it delivered. It's a consistently excellent dish and clearly a favorite for a reason. My sister-in-law really enjoyed the gnocchi, and my nephew, who's vegetarian, was very pleased with the Eggplant Parmesan--he said it was flavorful and hit the spot. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was excellent--attentive without being overbearing. We dine here regularly and enjoy working our way through the menu, trying something new each visit...well, most of us do. All in all, another great experience. Siino's continues to deliver a consistently enjoyable meal, and we're already looking forward to the next visit.

We opted to sit in the outside patio area. They have a few tables inside, but if you have a larger party, you'll probably need to go outside. The patio is covered and has a few big fans overhead. They did some renovation over this past winter; I know bc I tried stopping by and they were closed due to it. When I went this past time, the inside looked pretty much the same ( based on my bad/faulty memory). The patio was different bc one side is completely covered, and I noticed a pulldown screen and projector overhead. The menu seemed a bit different this time. No more meatball appetizer unfortunately. Our server was nice and attentive (this time and last). The food: - Spicy Caesar (Romaine, home-made spicy Caesar dressing, home-made croutons, parmesan shavings, cracked black pepper and salami crisps): good stuff. Not really a healthy salad but a tasty one. The croutons are nice and light (not unpleasantly crunchy). The dressing has a nice little kick to it. I'd recommend. - Helena pizza (House-made Italian sausage, salami, pepperoni, San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh basil, fresh mozzarella, pepperoncini, and Parmesan): the pizza crust here is the best in the greater Sacramento area. Hands down. It's so wonderfully light and chewy. I wish they'd use a bit more sauce on their pizzas as they eat a bit dry. And, I think some extra sauce would balance the saltiness of the toppings as well (and, the pizza does eat a bit too salty for my tastes). - Classic Pepperoni pizza (Pepperoni, San Marzano tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella, parmesan cheese): similar experience as the Helena: stellar crust, not enough sauce, and a bit too salty. - Beer: they have a half dozen or so local brews on tap as well as a larger selection of cans/bottles, which include both local and macro brews. Thumbs up. Overall, this is a good pizza place that's worth checking out. I'm only knocking a star off bc the balance of sauce and toppings on the pizza was a bit off. But, I'd still go back!
