We were staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton nearby, so the location was really convenient. La Porta is tucked right behind the Mercedes dealership, and there was plenty of parking, which is always a nice bonus. Once inside, we were greeted and seated right away. The restaurant has a modern, comfortable feel with a full bar. There was even a colorful group apparently headed to an Indian wedding, dressed in beautiful silk finery and enjoying cocktails at the bar. It added a fun splash of color and energy to the evening. The menu had plenty of tempting choices, but the three of us quickly settled on some favorites. My mother-in-law ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese, while my wife and I shared a 12" A16 Napoli pizza with pepperoni and an order of their lasagna. Everything was delicious! The pizza had a thin, nicely crisped crust with fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, basil and plenty of pepperoni. The lasagna arrived bubbling hot in its own dish, covered in beautifully browned melted cheese and surrounded by a rich tomato sauce. My mother-in-law's Bolognese was equally well received. Portions were generous enough that we had a little left over, and you better believe it came with us. It was sooo good, there was no way we were letting it go to waste...! I kept my drink simple with pear flavored Grey Goose vodka and soda, and it was so refreshing! Our server was super sweet, funny and attentive without hovering. She stopped by regularly to refill our waters, check on the table and make sure we had everything we needed. Great service can really make a meal, and she definitely added to the experience. Good food, generous portions, friendly service, plenty of parking and a convenient location made La Porta a really enjoyable find. If I'm in the Sacramento area again, this will definitely be on the short list of places I'd happily return to. Great little find, and those leftovers aren't going to make it very long tonight...!

All to say that it was a magically deliciouso crispyness with yet a light pillowy fluffyness that I loved , with the perfect amount of toppings that absolutely complemented each other. The sauce drizzle just took the flavor profile to the next level. They recommended that the pizza was a "sharable". Well I selfishly ate a whole pizza myself and I'm not apologizing lol. I totally loved their pizza and next time I'll def eat another whole pizza again next time! Two yumz up!

Carmichael was where I called home for about 4 years and really loved living here it's a pretty quite town for the most part. There Carmichael Park which has a nice sized dog park and nice sized tennis courts and every Sunday where you can enjoy the Farmers Market. There are also small neighborhood park like Jan Dr Park, Gibbons park and Maddox Park. There and nice shopping centers and nice family owned Restaurants around and one of my favorite coffee shops Boulevard Coffee and now they have a Dutch Bros! There also the La Sierra community center for activities and many classes for Adults as well as for the kiddos too! They also do the 4th of July Fireworks show nearby as well. Most people just watch from the Big Lots Parking lot located on Fair Oaks Blvd and Engle Rd. Golden Gate Bridge of CSUS…read more Located between Campus Commons and Sac State, this bridge is a great shortcut if you are looking at parking outside of the school area. It's a great stop to get on to the trails on weekends and is much better for pedestrians then the J street or Howe Bridge. Another underrated aspect is how brought the structure is at night great for getting on campus and feeling pretty safe crossing. Also a good spot for pictures. Defintely worth checking out if you are in the area!

So, I got there at about 6pm (gates didn't open until 6:30pm), and I was third in line. Gates opened promptly on time, and my Yelp Elite ticket got me my goodie bag. My haul included what's pictured in the avatar for this event: Macy's Great American Drive In canvas bag, frisbee, light-up yo-yo, and light-up ring, along with a Macy's savings pass, a bag of Cracker Jacks, and a cool Macy's blanket. And, gosh, can't forget the $10 Macy's gift card! Quite the haul, and totally worth the drive from Natomas :) I did park for a bit, and noticed a nice bouncy-house thing being utilized by multiple kiddies. Also saw that a few food trucks were there: Smoothie Patrol, OMG Burger, and OM Karmabile. The size was generous! There's a nice thick crust of bread with a lot of good topping. I guess they measure the twelve inches from the edge of the inside crust across to the opposite edge of inside crust, not from the outside crust to the outside crust. Hence, the pizza was huge. I ate several raviolis and one pizza slice, plus a piece of garlic bread and completely full. It all tasted good! The house red wine was a chianti that went well with the food. It was served room temperature and wasn't anything to shout about, but it was a good accompaniment with the food. Glasses of water had a good amount of ice on this 100+F day. Service was fast, friendly, yet not overly hovering. Interior of restaurant was like well-maintained late '70s, with tables and comfy padded booth seating and clean wood paneling. The bathroom, however, was not 70s era, but modern and clean.

Pot holes and uneven pavement is an occurring theme passing through CH ! Instead of increasing road safety they went the opposite direction and increase road speed in some areas ! She needs to focus on the roads and not prioritize the trails first when the roads are in emergency needs !!!
