I am so impressed with the work and design they do here! While it is on a slightly more expensive…read moreside of the spectrum, it is worth the cost, as they put so much time and energy into their work, making you beyond satisfied with your nails. They're willing to show you a few colors/design, allowing you to compare the designs before they start and finalize it. This way, you know you will be pleased with the final product. The designs are also unique -- they have the trendy "jelly" colors and can do unique cat eye nail designs, and the amount of jewel options to choose from is amazing. :) Definitely a lot more fun than a typical gel design! Check out my Instagram @xoxojudie to see the full reel of these ombré cat eye French nails!

The person working on my nails worked extremely quickly sanding off the gel to the point that my natural nails were left damaged and rough from being sanded down. It's been two months and my nails are still breaking off from the damaged portion of my nails growing off. Then came the price. Throughout the removal the staff kept asking each other how much to charge me since they didn't know the price of this service. They ended up charging me $40.. you can get this service for $20 or even less for only gel removal.

I made an appointment here on a whim last week, at about midnight the morning before the morning I…read morewas going to come in. I was having my car detailed right around the corner before a weekend away and figured, why not treat myself? I booked a facial (which I've never done before) and a gel mani-pedi on their website for first thing in the morning. They texted me as soon as they opened to adjust my appointment times and were extremely accommodating. The inside is very calm and clean and well-decorated. There is a really pretty flower-adorned back wall, too, so if you're an Instagram person you'll have a great back-drop for selfies in here. I ended up having my facial first, and WOW. Never realized they could be so relaxing! Helen was amazing. I seriously felt like I was in a trance for the rest of the appointment and my skin looked so fantastic and fresh. My mani-pedi was quick (which I appreciate so much, as I get antsy during those usually) but they did a fantastic job even with my little nails. Over a week later, and my nails are growing in but still no scratches, chips, or peeling whatsoever. Plus, their prices are very reasonable. If you're looking for a treat-yourself little spa day without breaking the bank, definitely make an appointment at Brookline Beauty with these lovely ladies. You will NOT be disappointed. Can't wait to return!

I went here last month and honestly had one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a nail salon…read more My nails came out lumpy, uneven, and horribly shaped, they were filed down way too much to the point where the skin under my nails actually hurt. On top of that, they started chipping after just three days, which is ridiculous. The salon itself was also extremely dirty, there were piles of clutter everywhere, nothing looked sanitized, the tools were visibly dirty, and there was nail dust covering pretty much every surface. It felt really unhygienic and uncomfortable the entire time. I would give this place zero stars if I could. I don't know how on earth this place has four stars.

Came here for a manicure as the last appointment of the day and the place was empty except for me…read moreand my friend. She got a pedicure and they ended up staggering us so I would go first, my friend would go next - this led to my friend being able to sit next to me for most of the appointment and then I could sit next to her in the pedicure seats after which was nice. I don't get my nails done often so I'm not sure what is typical, but service felt nice and the staff were nice and friendly. Nail quality was fine - meticulous, gentle, and overall a solid experience. The manicure lasted a reasonable amount of time and they didn't damage my nail beds or anything. Overall, okay experience and I wouldn't mind coming back!

Update: ABSOLUTELY NOT, I have lasting damage from this visit. They split my nail bed and it wasn't…read moreeven on the finger that bled. First visit, left with my fingers bleeding. I am still in pain the next day with visible wounds on multiple fingers. Running water over my hands hurts. Attaching images of the worst cut. I have been getting my nails done regularly for over ten years, and this was the worst experience I've ever had. I didn't have time to drive an hour to my usual salon. I'm concerned about infection and shocked this service cost $120. My hands were hit by the drill multiple times, skin cut with cuticle scissors, and my appointment (hard gel on natural nails) was over 3 hours for one color. Usually two hours with removal at other salons. My tech seemed nervous and novice. Other patrons had full, decorative sets with tips started and finished during my appointment window. Stuff was getting wiped off my nails like she forgot the order (which can give you a gel allergy), and the gel was so lumpy and thick it had to be filed down. I'm generally really people-pleasing and tried to be understanding, but wanted to cry after my appointment. "Sorry" from your tech gets old after 5+ hits and a cut that keeps bleeding. She disappeared towards the end of my appointment, and the receptionist offered me a $20 ring from the accessories table when I checked out as consolation. I asked if I could get $20 back on the service instead and was told no. I tipped because I felt bad this girl might lose her job but I really feel she shouldn't be licensed. Nail Monster is lucky I'm not litigious, and I'm really hoping I don't get an infection.
