This location always provides great quality, and the staff is very friendly. They have many color and design options as well.

Found wash& blow dry salon!!!

I've been working across from this salon for two years now & today on a whim I decided to give them A try so glad I did! I actually didn't catch my stylist name but she did AMAZING WORK plus she was super fast! Thank you for my nap awesome experience.

Light pink dip with chrome

The nail techs here are super friendly and nice and they have a great selection of colors. I've come here many times and am always happy with the result.

Lovely people and a nice atmosphere here. I got exactly what I wanted and my nail tech was careful and considerate with me and my request.

Worst service ever. I went to get my nails done here and they wouldn't let my daughter use the restroom. I couldn't believe it. I would never go to this place ever again, especially with the way they treated my daughter is five years old.

French gel manicure

Very cute place! Got French gels there twice and done to perfection both times. I'm big on sanitation so I really appreciate how they use new sterilization bags with every set of tools.

My nails when I returned home.

Arrived at 4pm and asked for a Dip removal and pedicure. Should have cost $15 + $30. They asked me to wait with lukewarm water foot bath while they took other clients. The person doing my nails didn't introduce herself and left four (!) times to start other nails. She said I needed to have my cuticles cut and asked if I wanted a manicure. I said no but if she could file my nails that would be great. She said she could put on a clear coat. Bill was $65 with nail polish on fingers and cuticles and multiple dents. Bumped my nail putting on my ring after being there for 2 1/2 hrs. She yelled at me, making me extremely unhappy especially after so long and such unfriendly service and literally sitting there for hours while they tried to fit in more clients. Below picture of nails when I returned home. Will not return.

Walked in here because my usual Nail place didn't have any person available to do acrylic today. Well, I am glad I stumbled upon this Nail Salon! I came in with just one other customer threre, but more people started coming in soon after. I was not rushed and the nail technician was still very detailed and gave her full attention to my nails. I think it is worth the wait. The place is clean and technicians very friendly. I am very happy with my nails and will go back here again. I'll try the pedicure next time! I'm excited! I will try to update on how long this will last.

I've been coming to Brookline Hair and Nails for 4+ and wouldn't go anywhere else. Everyone there is kind and does beautiful work. The establishment is always very clean and bright. Prices are very fair. Even though I don't live in the Boston area anymore, I go out of my way to come here when I'm town.

This is *literally* the first time I've ever left a Yelp review, but I feel like the re-opening of business during Phase 2 of pandemic recovery is probably the most important time to do so. I came to Brookline Hair & Nails for the first time today. If one good thing came out of quarantine, it was that I had a lot of time to finally get my nails healthy. I decided to get the dip powder instead of gel, which always leaves my nails super weak and brittle. The salon was very clean and they were working by appointment, so it wasn't crowded at all. I actually ran a little late, so I waited for a bit (which was fine, my fault), and noticed that they thoroughly wiped down all surfaces between each guest. I never saw anyone without a mask on. My nail tech, Sylvia, did a great job and was super friendly/attentive. My nails came out exactly how I wanted, and she made me feel comfortable the whole time -- even bringing me a pillow for my back to make me more comfortable! I'll definitely be back, and recommend bringing your business here. Thanks for a great first experience out of quarantine! *Photo featuring the first beer I've had outside of my home in quite some time (at nearby Washington Square Tavern's patio).

Selena is amazing!! I'm pretty good at doing my own nails so I often am disappointed when I get my nails done professionally. But Selena just gets it. She is so particular, so gentle. She also helped me pick this color palette (showing me on a napkin first!)

I've been here twice and had great experiences. The first time, I got a shellac Mani and regular pedi for $58. I was attended to at the exact time of my appointment. The offered a hot stone foot massage with my pedicure (no extra cost). My shellac manicure last for 3weeks and eventually chipped. The second time around, I wanted something that'll keep my nails strong. I was told the dipping gel is better so I did that and a pedicure ($68) . The service here was amazing on the 2 visits. The store is clean, workers were extremely nice. I walked-in during my second visit and was attended to quickly.

Went here for my first haircut after COVID shutdowns. I was slightly nervous about this but the…read morewhole process put me at ease. Douja is the only stylist that works here, services are appointment-only and appointments are scheduled with disinfecting time in between, so she and I were the only ones in the shop, and she could do her work just as well with both of us masked. The haircut itself was great -- I used to go to Douja when she was at Sublime Salon in Cambridge and I instantly remembered why. I'm a guy so I don't have the language to tell someone exactly what to do. With Douja I can just tell her how long I want it, maybe tell her about some terrible haircuts I've had while she works, and she's competent enough to handle the rest. Douja herself is also awesome -- she'll tell you exactly what she thinks and wants you to do the same. *Note that this is a new salon Douja started in 2020, so other staff from Sublime, gift cards, etc. are likely different. Yelp may just be erroneously combining new and old business reviews.

I have done single process, partial highlights, full highlights, and hair cuts with her. She has done a perfect job each and every time. I would highly recommend her to anyone! Her prices are more than fair and her work product is priceless. Further, she is efficient with her time without sacrificing the end result. I greatly appreciate that I am not sitting in the chair for an unnecessary amount of time which is what happens at most other salons. And for the time I am sitting in the chair, she is great conversation! Not only does she do amazing work, she cultivates a safe space through her radiant and kind personality. I am so lucky to have been referred to her by a friend and I hope to have her do my hair forever! I have curly dark brown hair and she has safely got me to the blonde shade I desire. Her highlights add so much dimension to my hair and I feel so confident after she does my hair. My hair is so healthy and she is very knowledgeable on how to safely bleach hair, especially curly hair. Douja is so talented and everyone should get their hair done by her!!

Hello, so this post may be TMI - so if you aren't into that, keep scrolling and just look at the 5…read morestars ~ I am a light skinned black women w/ very coarse curly hair. My private area hairs HATE being waxed. I always end up getting ingrown hairs after a wax. I have had nothing but issues with waxing, even after visiting European Wax Center. Once upon a time I lived in Atlanta and would get waxes from Andreas, but I no longer live there. STRAVROULA, the waxer, was the absolute best. She works in the basement of a hair salon, but the wax room is clean and tidy. I told her I don't usually wax because of getting ingrown hairs. I was only getting a bikini wax, so she gave me a pair of disposable underwear. I thought that was great and professional. I told her I wanted to try the Sugar wax, as I had read about it, and wanted to try it out. She tried the sugar wax on me and the sensitive skin wax on me. She would use the different waxes for different parts of my skin. She payed attention to me, engaged in conversation and the wax did not hurt as much as I thought. The pain level was about the same with other waxes that I have had. After the wax, my skin was very bumpy and red, but within the next few hours that went away. I wanted to write a review the day I got the wax, but decided to wait because my issues usually pop up AFTER the wax with ingrown hairs, but I can say 1 week later, my extended bikini line is still bump free. I will ONLY be going to STRAVOULA and actually look forward to getting another before my next vacation. Side bar: I always HATE how people who wax you, tell you to come more often to reduce the pain and the amount of hair and I really think that is a myth and a way for the shop to make more money. At European Wax Center they always try and make you buy a package to save $X.00 over time and they wax you so fast, there is no personal touch. I feel that they only care about profits. I felt that Stravoula actually cared about my skin and wanted me to have a great experience. I do not hate EWC, but they are both near eachother and one is franchise, while the other is a small business owner who has been doing this sort of work for 20+ years. Good luck hairy gals!

The room was rinky dinky. And she had a rude tone in her voice when I genuinely asked about why she switched up the routine. I already decided before going that I was switching to a different spa, but now I am DEFINITELY switching. I guess you get what you pay for. Oh and she left leftover dried up mask product on my face after the last facial. And said she cleared up all my blackheads, when I had a whole jaw line and cheek full of them. Did she not see them under the bright light?? I don't get it. They're clearly black and white and obviously there. I'm confused, genuinely.

I had been to a location in Washington DC several years ago, and haven't heard from them since, so this must have been fate! I have had so many bad waxes in the last two years, but decided to take one more chance and booked online with Jenelle (based on a couple of reviews on Yelp). My appt was at 9:15 on a Saturday morning, so there was no wait at all and the salon was quiet. Jenelle is really nice and did an AMAZING job - not one single stray hair for me to tweeze (which is not a problem for me, but I have left a few visits elsewhere practically needing to go somewhere the next day... no exaggeration) and no wax residue on me either. If you have ever had wax stuck to you the next day that just will not come off, you know how exciting this was for me! Payment was quick and easy, they allow a tip to be left on your credit card, but I like to give cash. Thanks Jenelle, and see you next time!

I had eyebrows, upper and lower lip, and chin done last Sunday. The technician had a nice demeanor,…read morebut her technique left me with sores (that soon turned into scabs) on my lower lip and eyebrow area. Instead of using a single swift pull, this technician (Sheila) used a series of small pulls, which I believe led to the sores. But I'm not sure about that. What I can say is that I'm in my mid-50s, have been waxing for decades, and have never been left with sores/scabs. So this issue is distinct to this visit to EWC in Brookline, MA (and I've been to several others in the area). Additionally troubling is that I wrote a note to EWC stating the above to no avail, even offering to send them photos that I'd taken. Not only did no one contact me, I know they received my complaint because I got a follow-up survey inquiring as to my satisfaction regarding the efficacy of their follow-up. Incredible! You can't make this stuff up. I've even checked Junk, thinking "surely not, surely *someone* would have written back; maybe it went into the Spam folder." Nope. Non. Nada. Anyway, the woman at the front desk was lovely, friendly, chatty, and very welcoming. Despite that, unless I want more scabs, returning to this EWC seems unwise and so I won't.
