There was one piece of furniture they could not move but said they be back the next day and they never showed up. My sister called and left several messages and never received a returned call. While the movers themselves were pleasant, they didn't finish the job because they needed more help. I was told by Michelle (the scheduler) that they'd call me on Saturday night or Sunday to finish the job, and they were a no call, no show! Worse, Michelle and the owner didn't even have the decency to answer my calls or return the two messages I left. I paid $900 to H Movers and was really disappointed that I had to scramble to get the couch out of the apartment and into my home without the help I hired. Three guys from another company took that sectional out and into my home in less than 45 minutes, with no issue. Don't use this moving company! read more

I cannot tell you how delighted I am with the service my son, daughter-in-law and I received from the folks here at H Movers! We had a super last minute request for help moving - the folks here had a little over 24 hours notice and they came through in spades! The woman I spoke with initially was warm, understanding, patient, knowledgeable and really cared about our needs to move quickly. I thought we would only need two guys for 3 hours turned into 9 hours and they didn't bat an eye! And Anthony kept checking in with me with each hour past the anticipated 3 hours to be sure we were ok with the extra time and expense for their help. They arrived in the window of time they said they would on the morning of the move and called to let me know they were on the way and about 20 minutes out. They were soooo polite, helpful, wanted to be sure we weren't lacking for anything, and that everything we could possibly need help with was done before they left that night. They were affordable and worth every penny and more for the help they provided - especially with such short notice. We would have been lost without them as time was of the essence for us to move everything out of my son's old home and into their new one. These movers were amazing. Completely professional, kind, careful, and thoughtful. We had three people who worked flawlessly together, with excellent communication with one another and with me. They were gentle with my possessions, honest about expectations, and worked independently and quickly but also thoughtfully, asking me when my opinion was needed or if I had a preference on certain things. Just getting around to writing this review but felt it needed to be said- Unfortunately we won't be using H Movers again after a very negative experience in September where they left us waiting all day and never arrived despite multiple times confirming they were coming, despite using them multiple times in the past throughout the years. We had one less-than-ideal experience with them years ago where we had to wait hours for a mover to help us move a bulky item from a friend's house to ours, but continued to use them for other moves as well as recommending them to others because of how positive the other experiences were when they had showed up. We figured it was a blip. Unfortunately, yesterday we had a move scheduled with a 3-5 pm arrival time. Admittedly, there has been disastrously poor weather all week, but we did get a confirmation call the previous night specifying that we were all set for our move and that we would get a call 20 minutes before the movers' arrival, implying that the weather had had no impact on their schedule and that we were fine. After packing all day, we were ready by 3 pm for their arrival (after hearing nothing all day), but got a call around 3:30 that the truck had broken down due to flooding and that they could pick up a UHAUL and arrive by 6:45 instead, and possibly add another mover so that the move wouldn't go too late into the night. Despite the disappointment, we decided to accept the resolution, eat dinner, and wait it out, again assured that we would get a call 20 minutes before their arrival. After not hearing anything, we called them at 6:30, no answer. 5 more calls between 7-7:10, no answer. Sent text messages that we were waiting at the apartment with a small child and wanted to know if they were still coming. We finally got a call around 7:15 that they could still come but that they would take about an hour, arriving between 8 and 9 pm, (no reason or explanation as to why they weren't coming except that it had been a hard few days and that they were struggling with the weather, damage to trucks, and also taking on college moves which had them overwhelmed), again with a 20 minute in advance call before arrival, or that they could come in the morning. We decided to try to give them one more chance if they were sure they could get it done. By 8:47 we still had heard nothing, indicating that they were (best case scenario) going to be later than 9 pm, or that they just weren't coming. I called to cancel because it was far too late for us to move things in or out of a place. When they picked up, I said that we hadn't heard anything, and they said they'd call to check where their team members were (implying to me that no one was on their way if they didn't even know where the movers were), but I did cancel at that time. With proper communication throughout the day, we could have made something work if they were truly experiencing challenges, and we were more than accommodating of changes to the scheduled arrival as they occurred, but this company had no communication with us throughout the day, and were willing to leave two young women and a toddler waiting all night at an uninhabitable (packed up) apartment for them to never come. We then had to pay rush fees to have another company move us the following day. Could not recommend these movers in good conscience ever again. I see their signs up around town and wonder why they are advertising for more business if they cannot even handle what they currently have. read more

Eduardo and Steven made our move a breeze. They were organized, efficient, and incredibly polite and courteous. Not one thing was damaged during the loading, traveling, or unloading stages. Our moving day was on one of the hottest days of the summer and they hustled regardless. We won't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. Dishonest and Flakey Business. It was very hard to get a hold of them initially, the first few times we called we were stuck with the answering machine. When we were finally able to reach them to get a quote on the moving cost, the secretary said that the total cost would be around $300. We knew that the estimate was off because on their website there was a rate for the number of "items" that would be stored and we were moving an apartments worth of stuff. Nonetheless we trusted them. After arriving and moving our stuff, they dropped a $1500 bill on us, way off the mark of their initial quote. After looking at the inventory, they had counted every piece of my roommates bed as one item, essentially turning a full size bed into 5 separate items. When it was time to get our stuff back, they had broken some of our items when they were moving them and "promised" they would pay for it. When they brought our stuff in, there were a few items missing (a 6 speed bike and a coffee table). After calling them several times during working hours on a weekday, we were not able to get a hold of them. We still have not received all of our items to this day or any form of reimbursement for the items they destroyed. read more

Eduardo and his partner did a great job moving me and I couldn't have done it without them! I found them through a website called thumbtack, but thought I would honor them with my first ever yelp review because they were just that good. Eduardo was very communicative before they arrived, which was helpful because I'd never hired movers before and wasn't quite sure what to expect. They worked hard from the time they showed up until the moment everything was in my new place. I also peeked in their truck and it was packed SO neatly, I was astonished to see my own furniture and boxes so nicely organized. It looked like someone else's belongings entirely, especially compared to the way the truck looked when my family and I moved out here... The move also went much faster than I thought it would, and it cost me over $100 less than what a flat rate mover had estimated based on my description of my furniture (and half the price quoted on one of those websites where you list all your stuff from a checklist and request a quote). I've already given his number to a friend and absolutely recommend them to you. They saved my day, and it was totally worth hiring them, even on my grad student budget. The movers themselves were so nice so I feel bad leaving such a low review but I specifically used Thumbtack to try to find someone with good reviews as this is my first real move on my own. I got a response from them so quickly and I spoke with Michelle who I repeatedly told my couch went in through the window and she suggested I get three guys even though I was leaning towards two because she said you know with my couch. When I finished signing the paper they moved all of my stuff quickly but wouldn't move my couch out. Not their fault at all but I wanted to point out the company manipulates and omits the truth to get business. Now I have to pay someone else to move the one reason I even decided to go with movers :( read more

AVOID THIS MOVER AT ALL COST! Last week I called H-Movers to move my stuff from my U-Haul storage to my college apartment. They told me that they could take me on Tuesday and said they put me in the schedule. I sent them the address and they told me the movers would be in contact with me soon. I never received a call from their movers and so Monday I called them to see what was going on. They told me that the movers call 15 minutes beforehand, and I asked if they could tell me what window they would arrive. They told me they would call me back with the information. They never did and so I called them back. They then told me the move would be in between 2 to 4 on Tuesday. The movers called me back and asked for the dimensions of the space and said they would call me 20 minutes before they arrived at my storage unit. They never called back. I then called at 4:00pm and asked what was going on and asked why I have not heard from the movers. I was told there was a scheduling conflict and the truck that was supposed to move me was somewhere else. I kept calling back, but the lady on the phone told me that she was trying to figure out another solution and that she could not be on the phone with me and with the movers at the same time. She assured me that she would call me back. She never did. I have been calling them since yesterday and this morning and they have failed to return my calls. I have been talking to other moving companies this morning and numerous people have told me that they are known for doing this and they are unlicensed as well. COLLEGE STUDENTS BEWARE DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY!!! I am now trying to get my stuff moved last minute because I scheduled with them beforehand and they failed to do what they promised. I know their prices seem reasonable but this experience has taught me that you get exactly what you try to pay for. read more

I hired these guys to move a bunch of furniture I needed to have moved on a certain day. They showed up, all right...on time. I admit there was a fair amount of mildew on the furniture I asked them to move and I pointed it out to them as soon as we walked into the storage building They said nothing about it. After taking several pieces of furniture out of the house and placing them in the yard, they jumped into the truck without talking to me and drove away...leaving me to do the job myself. Would it have killed them to face me and tell me what their problem was? Lack of integrity here. read more

Edurado was supposed to pick up our furniture yesterday between 8 and 9 He calls me an hour late and says that two of his men didn't show up but he would come with two men and they will be at our place in twenty minutes. It will take a little longer to get everything done because of the two men not showing up. Edurado never showed up and will not return our calls, either on his cell or office. Our furniture is all ready to be loaded and everything is disconnected. We now have to find another mover. There is no excuse for this kind of behavior and total disregard for other people. At the very least, make the phone call and do the right thing!! read more

Not only did Eduardo respond to me quickly, he communicated effectively with his colleague, as well as myself during the moving process. DO NOT HIRE!!! They arrived late on a U Haul truck after telling me that they had their own vehicles. The truck was too small and half way through loading my belongings they realized things wont fit in. At this point the manager (Hector) told me that they were bringing a bigger truck and started unloading my things, once everything was out, they took off never to return. THEY LEFT ALL MY THINGS IN THE STREET!!!! Never pick up the phone, they just vanished. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE, by far the worst moving experience of my life!!!! read more

I called directly to book H movers for Friday June 16th, I was told an8-9am arrival time. I found them on thumbtack. On the morning of my move at 9:15 no one had arrived. I called and got an answering machine and left a message. At 9:45 someone called me to tell me I wasn't on their schedule and all of their trucks were out already. When I asked what did they mean, I spoke to someone on the Wednesday about the move they stated I was nowhere to be found. I told them what I had been told and then asked them to look at July... there was my move July 15th not June 16th. They said they would try and get a crew and call me back... I had to call them back and there was NO crew. Horrible Horrible way to do business!!! I also decided to look on them up and come to find out they ARE NOT LICENSED MOVERS!!! Stay away from this company unless you want a migraine the size of Europe! read more

Unfortunately, they did not return my stuff. I arrived back in town on Sunday (1/21) and called about getting my stuff back. They said they did not have a time to deliver until Friday (1/28), which I felt was frustrating, but I understood also that I could have called earlier. On Friday (1/28), they called at the end of my delivery slot, saying that they had written me in for another day, and there would be no way to get the stuff to me until the next Friday (2/2). On that day they ghosted me, not returning my calls or showing up. By the end of the day they just sent me straight to voicemail. I am very sad because I have none of my possessions, including sheets, towels, hangers, and cookware. read more

BEWARE and make sure you have a plan B. Having been through several moves with professionals, I can say this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had! Before the move, I called two days in advance and spoke to H Movers and confirmed we are all good to go for Saturday 8AM. They said absolutely yes! Given all the reviews I expected "professional. courteous, prompt, helpful" people from H Movers. 8am arrived the day of the move, H movers were nowhere to be seen. 810am someone called saying H Movers were delayed and would arrive at 9am. 930am arrived and no H Movers! 10am, H Movers admin called to say there were delays, problems and all manner of non customer related issues. By the way, I had to move out of a townhouse that very day as the new tenants were taking occupancy. My wife and 3 month old baby were already waiting at our new empty house with nothing but the clothes they were wearing since 730am that morning! The calls continued with me pleading and begging H Movers to honour their commitment. Those calls continued until 6 pm with no joy and I finally accepted that my family and I had been cruelly and wholly shafted by H Movers! .......and to make matters worse I had to incur substantial extra costs to pay for unexpected expenses. By 11pm Saturday night I completed 14 back and forth round trips, 140 miles to try and at least move some of my family's belongings all of which was packed up in boxes and stored high in a garage. Sunday I arose at 7am and called upon several U Haul centers and finally got a truck. I continued moving my family belongings since H Movers were no where to be seen. After 10am H Movers called saying they were onto their next 4 jobs and off-course my family move was an afterthought and they had no interest any longer. They said they would call me 45 minutes later to see if they could get 2 men over to help me move the larger pieces of furniture since I had the U Haul truck. Well that call never ever came back to me! I don't doubt that H Movers charmed the new customers and the reviews will reflect that. I don't usually write reviews, but, on this occasion, it is absolutely necessary to WARN everyone out there. DO NOT TRUST H Movers and MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PLAN B. I will never recommend H Movers to anyone I know, I will always discourage everyone from placing their trust and business with H Movers. read more

H-Movers were a great moving company to help me with my move. They showed up right on time when I scheduled them to come. Each of the movers that came were very polite and easy to work with. They cared for my belongings as if it were their own while loading and unloading their box truck. This company was great to work with and are true professionals. Whatever you do, DO NOT HIRE this company! We had a scheduled move and they arrived when they were supposed around 9:30am in the morning! When they pulled up, first thing I send to one of the guys was, "is everything going to fit in the truck?"; He assured me "oh yes of course". About 35/40min into the job (moving furniture into the truck), he approaches me and says "we have a problem". Apparently he didn't have the proper protectors in the truck to finish the job (in addition to there not being enough room) because allegedly a different truck was originally going to come to my home with was fully prepared but instead something came up and they sent these guys and their truck without being full prepared. So they said, if you wait 3 hours, the original truck will come and finish the job. I was left with no choice since I took a day out of work to get it done that day. So they begin unloading everything they already loaded into the truck and left it in the garage for the other truck who is supposed to come in 3 hours. Let's just say 3 hours came and went; I called the owner 5 times and was sent to voicemail; no response or text back. They never returned my calls and never finished the job! Sorry ass excuse for a company with amateurs who run it and have zero respect for people's time! I will be reporting them to the better business bureau! read more
