Not my favorite HEB,but the dry cleaners is near there. The prices are out of site. I rarely meat from here and many times what need isn't here. This time it was. The HEB is nicer, but not as close to us. This needs a remodel. Always find cold food on the shelves. Not HEBs fault, but intitled people. Can't say much about ambiance.. read more

Walking HEB is a dream come true. It has everything except clothes like Walmart and Meijer have. It has so many options for groceries that it makes my indecisiveness so much harder to overcome. It does not have a few things on my grocery list but it definitely has a wider variety than other grocers. The ambience is the usual grocery store environment. The service for the sample foods that they cook up is great. They always know how to have a good conversation and laugh. read more

This review is primarily for the crawfish. Absolutely terrible and a waste of money. Full of heads only. Multiple tails only and multiple crushed crawfish. Tons of claws at the bottom of the bag. None of the crawfish were purged and full of giant turds. They gave me one potato the size of a quarter and when I asked for another one, they gave me another one the size of a dime. The crawfish that were left, tasted like they've been soaking in saltwater for hours. Never again. read more

6.27.23 This review is for the fuel area only. I only stopped here to purchase gasoline. So I can not review the HEB Grocery store. It was rush hour time when I stopped at this location for gas. There was quite a few pumps that were vacant. And a few had the dreaded "out of order" covers on them. Gas was $3.09.(sadly) I miss the dollar and something days. (And we thought that was high!!) I placed a curbside order to be picked up 7-7:30 am. I could make it in that half an hour window. Next thing I know, at 8:15 I get a call from curbside saying they are short of space and need me to come and get my order. Weird!! So, because they are so restricting and, my little bit late to pick up, it was worth calling to insist I pick up right away. Unbelievable!! Well, I bought one of their high dollar "tomahawk" steaks 'cause I was intent on impressing my wife for our Anniversary. I am 69 years old, and have been grilling steaks for over 40 years. This particular steak was cooked on my $1,200 Napoleon grill to the perfect temperature 130. When I served it, after letting it rest, it was a tough as shoe leather. I was pretty pleased with this grocery store. Parking seemed better at this store than I have seen at some. Aisles seemed a bit small but the service was amazing. Prices appeared to be clearly marked and they offered my kiddo stickers as we left. All in all a pretty good experience. read more

Had to get some great meat rub that is HEB's personal brand. Texas Prime. We packed it all around a giant brisket roast, popped it into the oven on low heat for several hours, and it was outrageously flavorful. Made the meat super juicy and tender. Naturally we had to get some, seeing as there's no HEBs in Ohio. Got a fresh yellow peach, and it was also good. Sweet juice. Their Instant Pots were on sale, so for a great price, snagged a 6 quart. This is a brand new (don't know how old, but not old at all) market style HEB. The customer service is excellent and the staff is always friendly. The Store: Huge selection of everything from wine and beer to great health food options. The prices are very good considering this store sits at the very south edge of The Woodlands (which is kinda known to be expensive!!). The Gas Station: Prices are about in line with the area. The Woodlands most generally is higher than other parts of Houston, but HEB seems to do a better job with not gouging with their fuel prices. The Car wash: I would actually give the car wash a 4 star. The prices is better than other HEBs, so that is a plus but overall this was is only good if your car is just dusty or not very dirty. If you car is filthy (like what happens to mine living in Houston), you may have to seek out a higher end wash. This one is good for a quick cleaning though! No experience with the Pharmacy yet. Probably one of the dirtier, dumpier and smaller heb's in the state. Sometimes I wonder if management parks in the back because the parking lot in front is always littered with trash. Hold your employees accountable or take ownership yourself. Seriously. There's nothing worse than walking into and through a grocery store to buy food for your family and it's filthy. I also didn't realize until I went to this one that all HEB's don't have a meat counter. Well, they say they do but it's actually been replaced by a freezer with frozen packaged meats. Regardless, it's close and until now it's worked for us due to location alone. No more. Unfortunately this HEB allows their pharmacists to inconsistently apply their personal politics against the orders of your doctor's prescription. One of the pharmacists at this location is a huge lib who knows what's best for you vs. what medical science and your doctor prescribes and tells us is reality. I won't name names but she knows who she is. Hope you're not too sick when the pharmacist here denies your doctor's prescription orders. I don't even know if that's completely legal but we will absolutely be looking into it as well as getting the word out that apparently HEB believes vaccines are the only answer to Covid. They make good money on pushing them. In the meantime I look forward to finally getting better because Walgreen's apparently doesn't feel politics should take precedent over your healthcare. Take your pharmaceutical needs to CVS or Walgreens. There is literally one right next door and you can skip the hassle with this place. read more

H.E.B had great stores in San Antonio. But I really wish they would improve the H.E.B on W.W.White Rd. It is a bother and worry to me. I go to the others and amazed how nice they are. H.E.B is helping in San Antonio. But I wish he would improve the ambiance and food choices at the H.E.B. at the WWWhite stores that store has potential because it is HEB but it is among the older HEB. Maybe that is the reason. I notice they have police, and other services but I look at the flooring and the businesses they have in the store and the customer service and poor behavior of the pharmacy, too. I tried to get a Covid shot during that time it was needed and the shut down early. I had to go to the Alamo Heights HEB to get a needed shot. I notice the movement in the store and extremely long lines and if it is what makes a store I want return to. I find myself wanting to by pass it neighborhood HEB store and go to the more updated HEB in Alamo Hights and the HEB on Goliad or nicest on off 151 in San Antonio. I was checking the handicap scooters, non of which were charged. I got down to the last one and had my purse hovering just above the basket to put it in while reaching for the switch and an employee jumped on it and turned it on and rode off. When I said something he said there was an old mad that needed it. Well ass, I'm an old woman with MS, RA, Osteoarthritis, need hip and knee replacement due to joint determination and I need it to and he was a total jerk. I finally got a scooter and tried to do some shopping but their produce is crap, shelves bare and didn't have anything on my list. I left and went to KROGER and ended up getting robs for $1.88/lb. and a couple other great meat sales and other great sale items and saved a lot of money. Not to mention Kroger's shelves were fully stocked. They don't seem to have the same supply issues H‑E‑B DOES nor does Kroger charge outrageous prices. I can't afford to shop at H‑E‑B!!! The cashiers don't talk to you, they don't even say hi, the manager that was bagging yanked my cart out of my hands without saying anything first. She didn't say hi, either. It's now like an HEB Pantry in an evening gown...{can we say lipstick on a pig anymore?} Anyway - when they remodeled there is no way they did not know the Academy next door was closing to open a new HUGE location across 249. They could have waited expanded into the empty Academy as well and been a showplace to rival the actual Central Market locations.... I go to this store since it is close to me. I like the products and service except CHECK-OUT. I happened to notice one time that I was overcharged and began watching thereafter. Almost every single time I get over charged. Today, I was charged $1.48 for a bunch of cilantro. The clerk looked at the number on the bunch and entered to price it. But I had picked regular cilantro which is 0.38 a bunch. Had I not noticed it, I would have lost $2.20. This has become a regular chore for me to go back to the customer service and ask for a refund. I once complained to the supervisor at the store. Nothing happened. I got overcharged to day. So, if you go to this store, PLEASE CHECK YOUR PRICES AT THE CHECK-OUT. read more

This HEB like others have mentioned is definitely due for an upgrade. Things are not always in stock, limited selection on lots of normally stocked goods, not super clean, not super big either. The atmosphere is a dirty and doesn't make you feel particularly good about shopping there. I have noticed the prices on items here not matching to other stores that are reachable not too far away. The only saving grace for me and why I give this place 3 stars is the location, which is convenient for Tomball, but mostly for the pharmacy and RediClinic. Both of those are pretty decent and convenient for getting checked up and getting medicine quickly. If that wasn't there, this HEB would definitely be a 2 or 1 star place to avoid entirely, but if you don't need the pharmacy or RediClinic, go somewhere else for groceries. read more

This is one sorry H.E.B. I went there today since I was up in Tomball, usually I go to my neighborhood HEB, in Vintage. There are limited selections on (too) many items, and the prices are higher. I wanted some feta and it was a dollar higher than Vintage's HEB. I went to the deli to get some lunchmeat. I waited not a terrible amount of time. I was glancing at the marinated things for a few seconds, and then I looked up and the lady who was slicing my meat was doing something else, like packaging ham or something. I wondered, where's my order? and usually the deli hands it to you and smiles, says, Can I get you anything else? I see she's done slicing my blazin' buffalo - where is it? I realized she put it on the counter which was weird because I was there in front of her the whole time. Okay, not a real big deal. Just....different. I'm used to super friendly and super professional, even for a deli. I went to check out. I noticed the checker forgot a coupon for the lady in front of me. She pointed it out, and since staring at each other didn't prompt him to correct his mistake, she just told him to forget it. Then it was my turn. The checker didn't say anything to me, but naturally I always have a cheery HI HOW ARE YOU ready for people in the service industry. He just shrugged his shoulders and put on his best Eli Manning -during -the -fourth -quarter- at -the -Super -Bowl face. I said, so your mood matches the weather, eh? (rainy, crappy, gloomy and cold). He didn't say anything. Not at all. He forgot my coupon too. But I did tell him as I was leaving that I hoped his day got better. He's lucky to have a job, with that attitude. The place seems old (and it's not), decrepit, and the ambiance reminds me of Food Town. I'll suffer through the Four Corners nonsense and go to Kroger instead. read more

Bought 3 sacks of crawfish, and 2 were crushed and dead, the sacks were full of bait that stunk to high heaven. Heb was happy to replace the crawfish but after we got home it was the same situation. Dead, crushed, stinky crawfish. There goes 250$ + the $ it cost to replace 3 sacks from a different location. So stressful! read more

The shaved headed pharmacist is rude and was not the normal happy pharmacist that in my hometown of Stephenville that I'm accustomed to seeing. I was here taking care of my friends fur babies and my Dr. gave me my prescription to fill on the due date here. It was from my pain management Dr. and he refused to fill it because of the medications I am on. Like I would drive 4 hrs to "drug search," really?! He said that I was a "walking contradiction??" number one you have no idea the chronic condition that I live with daily, it's none of your business, and you have evidence that my hometown H-E-B has no problem and to be the condescending ass that berated me and told me to go to Walmart to have it filled. I love the grocery store and the bakery (especially their tortillas), but I'm not a fan of their pharmacy because their "pet prescription" poster is very misleading. They have posters up, advertising "low prices on pet prescriptions." When my cat was diagnosed with diabetes, the vet asked if I had a preferred pharmacy so she could call in a prescription for insulin. I chose HEB because of their pet prescription posters. The vet called in the prescription and called me back, saying that it would cost $100 with HEB's pet program. I was surprised when I went to pick up my cat's insulin, and it was actually $300 (for a 1 month supply). Apparently, the vet needed some "number" for me to get the insulin for $100. So, I'm being punished because my vet didn't provide some "number"? It's unfair that some pet owners get a discount and others don't, depending on if their vet can provide some "number." I would understand if the pharmacist said, "You can't get a discount because you don't have pet insurance." But, no, she said it was because our vet didn't provide some number. So, pet owners, do your research before asking your vet to call in a prescription to HEB Pharmacy. Make sure your vet has whatever number is required. (I don't really know what the number is. Apparently, all doctors have a "number" but veterinarians aren't required to have it, but they can apply for it.) If your vet doesn't have this number, check other pharmacies in the area and compare prices. read more

I love HEB. We do almost all of our grocery shopping here and we always have a good experience. This HEB is much larger than the one at the front of The Woodlands, which I love. I always love the fresh seafood selection. They have so much to choose from. Also, we love the Meal Simples for weeknight dinners - they are delicious and so easy! There is also a sushi bar and they make fresh sushi and sashimi daily. We have been in several times on the weekend when they do wine samples and that is awesome. I love trying new wines and discovering new favorites! All in all, this is a great HEB. The only thing that would make it better is a self check out lane read more
