We were coming from DFW, we had quite the drive to get to Rockport. We had been on the road an hour, and came to a stand still on the highway. I worried we weren't going to make it, before HEB curbside closed. So, I called curbside and Carolyn answered. She told me not to worry, just get here. I told her I'd check in, a half hour before they closed. Which is nice here, because they don't stop curbside until 10p! At home it's 9p. We checked in as promised, and again Carolyn answered. We told her our gps showed our arrival as 9:50! She is so sweet, she stated, not to worry that, she would wait until 10:15, if we were not there by 9:50! How sweet and thoughtful is that?! She said, she knew we were coming from out of town and that we'd need our groceries tonight and didn't want us to have to return in the am to pick up. We arrived at 9:50! When we checked in Carolyn was so sweet and understanding. Just as kind, polite, friendly and patient as you can imagine. The fact that it was so late, I imagined she was probable exhausted from being on her feet and in this crazy heat all day. But you would never have known, she was so happy to see us. She walked out to greet us, with our order and she had the biggest smile on her face Carolyn wouldn't even let us help her load the groceries, as we felt bad we were so late! We use curbside a lot, several times a week. We've never had anyone come out to greet us, so happy go lucky to deliver our groceries to our car. After Carolyn loaded us up with care, she welcomed us to Rockport and sent us on our way! read more

I just want the say that Paula the cashier in the front is the BEST!! Best experience with her she's so kind.

A solid and best grocery option in Rockport. The other option would be Walmart. I prefer the semi-local, Texas-based H-E-B. The store is larger than I'd expect for this market. It has all the normal trappings including a decent sized produce section, rather large meat section, and a respectable beer and wine areas including good craft beer options. Sundry goods are also well-stocked and there is a good selection of grill/camping supplies. The bakery is good and there is a sushi area too. Overall, not bad and the prices are good. read more

IMO this HEB has the best selection in the area and its one of the newer HEBs which is nice. It would be cool if they added one of the HEB concept stores inside like a Mia's Mirror. My only issue with this HEB is self checkout. They strictly enforce the 10 Item max at self checkout, even if self checkout isn't full and the store isn't busy. Odd. Oh another time the card reader at their gas station clamped onto my card and wouldn't release it- seemed like a random tech issue but they did have to turn off the power to get it to give me my card back. read more

The local store that "Gives Back to our Community"! They carry what the consumers want/need. I'ld prefer a little larger of a selection of Asian and Scandinavian items, however I've never inquired at the customer service counter, I've just found what I desire elsewhere... read more

This is a wonderful store. The food quality is superior with a wonderful selection and staff to go along with it. Their curbside and delivery services are first class. read more

We always enjoy the HEB stores when we're in Texas. They remind us so much of the Fred Meyer stores in the PNW. It's not just groceries they stock but many other items also including outside furniture and seasonal decor. We stopped at this HEB a couple times. Staff was very friendly and the store was easy to move around in. Definitely a great store. read more

The prices just keep going up and up. You will never find me going to any other grocery store other than the local H-E-B. Who remembers the old slogan? "Low low where you go at H-E-B." Though the prices are high and today I hit my ALL TIME RECORD. That's with keeping it all to house brand. I don't are what anybody says, H-E-B brand is legit. So after I walked around the store and down every aisle. I have a process and system to make sure I get what's on and off the list lol. Everything is so easily located and the staff is always helpful and polite. Wal-Mart could take notes and a lesson. What really made my day was the Dynamic Duo at the register..."Chelsee and Logan", nothing held back and with no disrespect this team got it done. Chelsee was Batman and Logan was the trusty sidekick. With all the items I put on the belt Chelsee was ringing up everything and holding a good conversation of funny small tall all while (me not noticing) she was supervising Logan to make sure all my groceries on the bottom of the cart got rung up and ya know....Logan missed one. I don't know how Batman/Chelsee (OMG....Bat-see? That's what Joker called Batman!!) she did it but kuddos and MAD points to the masked vigilant cashier. (Seriously she is still rocking the covid mask, to each is own, no judgment here). So when I arrived at my truck wearing a smile on my face due to the AWESOMENESS of "Bat-see" and Logan. I was worried that the case of 7up did not get rung up. I almost wanted to RUN back to see her to make sure but I was all the way at the back of the parking lot and I just thought to myself. I could just check the receipt and it was rung up. I was almost sad cause I wanted to finish talking with her. Oh well I know where she works lol. read more

The flooring could be a little more nicer. Actually, it's just slab. The service is actually good. The parking lot is questionable because of the clientele. They leave their motors running, while they have their groceries being brought to them. And they hardly ever leave a tip from what I understand. Corporate management's outtake on pride month is highly questionable. read more

I drove 4 hours and wanted something that I really love and was sad this location didn't have it. BUT Daniel went beyond and drove to another location to get me what I wanted. I was beyond amazed and grateful!! read more

Actually the worst heb ever. I am visiting from out of town and needed to grab a couple of things before getting to my parents house for the night. I got in late and had been driving most of the day but luckily made it at 10:55 so was going to run in and grab the two items I needed before calling it a night. Unluckily Erika was working the door and had already locked up 5 minutes before the store was supposed to close. Whenever I asked if I could go in and grab my two items she rudely declined me saying they lock doors 5 minutes before the actual close time. I would understand if I was there at 10:59 but I pulled up in the 5 minute window. Honestly I love giving H‑E‑B my support, but in reality I should've gone to Walmart I would've gotten way better service. read more

This may sound a little crazy, but one of the highlights of our trips down to Rockport for fishing is our visit to this HEB for supplies for our stay. Its been a part of our trips since our first one over ten years ago. My kids have grown up with it. It's not a huge store, but it always has what we need for our weekend stay. Burgers? Dogs? Sausage? Seafood? Breakfast needs? Bait for fishing? That last one is a great one. You don't find that in a San Antonio store. You just have to get there earlier enough to be sure to get it. . It's hard to put into words what has become tradition, other than putting it just like that. I hope to continue our Rockport HEB tradition for years to come. read more

There aren't many places to go shopping in Rockport. It's kind of a food desert. It's either this place, a specialty market, or Wal-Mart. Fortunately, this place is a lot better than the Wal-Mart, with lots of easy parking wide aisles, and decent selection. They are lacking in the area of freshly made foods. Most of the stuff seems to be for the locals, but if you're going out to the beach, there's not a lot of options for things to take with you that are already made. Plus, their individual drink selections are not that great. In general, you have to buy a large quantities, like a 6 pack instead of an individual drink. The place is a bit on the dirty side, and the produce leaves a lot to be desired. The prices are fair, and there is a lot of things to buy for the beach, like beach toys and things to keep you busy. I shop here because there's not a lot of other options around here. read more

I am not really sure why HEB has such negative reviews. It's HEB! It is the best. This was the one place I missed the most (sorry, Padre Island) when I moved to Dallas. During a recent trip back to my home coast, I made sure that when we went to the beach, we had enough BBQ from HEB. One of their best deals is the BOGO LOCO. Often times, HEB has several yellow coupons attached to various items throughout the store. These items and their coupons are often attached to some free complimentary item when you buy the original item. Case in point: I bought hot sauce at HEB, and I got the chips for free. I bought sausage for the grill, and I got the BBQ sauce and the mustard for free. This is what makes HEB great: they have great prices, their own label of products (Hill Country Fare) that are great, and their buildings and locations are always fully stocked with employees and items. I cannot wait to go back South for some more! read more

H-E-B - Entrance of the store off of 35 - Grocery Near Me - Rockport, Texas

This was my first time at an HEB, which my husband from Texas says it's the best grocery chain. Idk what he is talking about. They barely have a selection other than their own brand and anything that is not their own brand was expensive. On top of that, you can't do self checkout if you have more than ten items, yet they only had two cashiers working and there were long lines. Anddd you have to bag your own groceries. The woman working the self checkout was rude to me as well about the more than ten items, which she could obviously tell I was putting my stuff back already when I realized it. Skip this place and go to Walmart, and that says a lot about a grocery store when the Walmart is better. read more

We love H‑E‑B! We don't have one near us, so if we travel to H‑E‑B country we always stop. While on a recent trip to Rockport, we used this store's curbside pick-up service. The employee who greeted us was very friendly and substitutions were similar to the requested products. read more

HEB's hospitality improved for a while after the Corona virus outbreak, and some of their employees are still nice but they had a Nazi at the self checkout today who stopped two women who were shopping together with one basket. I gather they had more than ten items and three of the machines were out of service. I went to a register that had it's light on but no checker. The woman ahead of me both made the "I don't know" gesture. I told her I was about ready to leave my shit in the basket and walk out. When the clerk finally did get to me, she slammed my groceries around. Evidently mad at having to do her job. "HEB" must be code for "ASS," as in A-holes!!! read more

HEB is my go-to grocery store when I'm in Texas. This particular store is a large, organized space with good lighting. I particularly like that they have a tortilla maker where they make tortillas for purchase. There is also a decent selection of craft beers and alcohol. Staff is friendly. parking - large lot with ample availability read more

Their pharmacist (the bearded one) probably has the worst customer service abilities of any pharmacist I've ever experienced. He is rude and not helpful at all. Seems to be very full of himself. I heard him tell another customer he was a doctor. Sorry but as a 2013 graduate, you are barely a pharmacist and certainly not an M.D. What was really telling was when I took my business elsewhere and that pharmacy said they have had other customers mention this HEB pharmacist as their reason for "defecting". Other pharmacies must love him! As a grocery store it better than the others in Rockport. Compared to HEBs in other nearby communities, the selection isn't quite as complete. That isn't a surprise though as Rockport is not a large city. The store itself is clean and usually well stocked. If they would get a new pharmacist, they could be the complete package. read more

I always find what I'm looking for, and even what I don't think I need! HEB lays their store out very practically for easy item finding! Ok, this store is always busy, but still easy in/out. read more

Great prices, great selections & all without the riff-raff of a Wal-Mart... However I wouldn't use their pharmacy, as they're very slow compared to the local pharmacies that can have prescriptions ready in 10-20 minutes most of the time... read more

The variety of products in the store or very good most of the employees are very nice ,but the young ladies at the business center need to go and take customer service classes because they are very rude and can you can tell that they do not want to do their job. read more

Rude very rude employees especially at the business center. Such a shame they don't know what customer service is.

We love our H-E-B. Community minded and generous when disasters strike. Excellent selection and quality food. I travel a lot and H-E-B can't be beat anywhere. read more

I love HEB but this New Year they were over the top! Thanks to Harvey we have no land lines so I could not call my brother in Scotland to bring in the new year. This is a tradition we have since I emigrated in 1974 so to me it was a heartbreak. I was in HEB so I asked if they could help me with a land line. Two calls by staff and I was shown into the office and given a land line. It still brings tears to my eyes when I speak about it. Thank you HEB and staff. All my family is still in Scotland and New Year is a big deal for us. Thanks to HEB I could contact my family. I LOVE MY HEB. read more

I've been to a few good HEB stores and there's not many places to shop around here so sometimes I have no other choice but to got to Rockport HEB. This store has the worst layout and is dirty. Lets talk about poor customers service! The employees are rude! read more

I cannot say enough about this incredible store. It should be a destination in Rockport. Think market, pharmacy, gourmet deli, European bakery, sushi bar, butcher, sporting goods store and Wally World all put under one well organized roof. There is literally NOTHING you cannot find there. Try the baklava, get a fishing license, buy motor oil and pick up hand trimmed steaks for dinner. You will be treated like a local by the caring staff. A cop might be out front taking photos with the tourist's kids (yep, we saw that...) and there's going to be at least one yacht in the parking lot, being loaded with provisions. It's a neighborhood mecca. read more

Used to love this store! Came back to Rockport for a visit & couldn't wait to shop here (don't have HEB where I live). Was already disappointed by the time I got to checkout, but was shocked that I was supposed to sack, too! And the cashier kept giving me dirty looks because I couldn't sack fast enough to keep up with her. Felt like they were testing me for hiring...or stress test...or triathlon training...or endurance marathon...You know I handled every item 7 times: 1.get it off the shelf; 2.hand it to the cashier; 3.sack it; 4.put it back in the basket; 5.put it in the car; 6.take it from car to house; 7.put it in the cabinet - Whew! Now I wish I'd bought wine! read more

Every time I go to H‑E‑B pharmacy it's always a mess. First off my prescription is armor thyroid and when sent it to this pharmacy I got what the script says. Which Walgreens. CVS, Walmart and ect. All fill it with np thyroid since it's the generic of armor. Well they told me it wasn't the same so fine, instead of transferring it to a different pharmacy I let it be and payed a high price for my meds. Second of all they only filled one month and I asked for them to fill the two remaining months and was told that they can't do that just like the generic brand that they can't swap because they aren't the same where everybody else said the opposite. Then the next time my doctor called in a one month script plus a cream for the spider bite. I show up to the drive up window and they said it won't be ready till the next day. REALLY. They said we didn't think you needed it yet was what I was told. Who are you to say whether I need today or tomorrow. That's strike two. Strike three your out was showing up to pick up a couple of days worth of my thyroid medicine as a emergency pick till I get into the doctors office. I show up on Saturday afternoon the day after they said we will fill it for three days only. Well of course that was to good to be true. The girl said we are still waiting on the doctor that put in my last months script which was a tel a doc that only filled for one month so she said who is your doctor and I told her who it was and that he is in Ohio and he won't fill it unless I seem. I told the girl my doctors appointment wasn't until Thursday and she said there wasn't anything we can do then so I said forget and left. My wife called and spoke to someone else and they said they could do a three day emergency supply and that the girl spoke to me offered it. That was a lie. I said to forget about it and not worry about it. Never in my life ever seen a cluster of a pharmacy that lies and doesn't listen to the customer or anything and doesn't care. H‑E‑B slogan H‑E‑B is here for you. (NOT) Jerry"s kids could run it better then the ones it. The store would better if it was a Kroger. H‑E‑B is a waste. read more

This is not the worst grocery store I have been to but diffently not the best. They severely like a good organic vegetable section. We usually shop everyday if not every other day as we are full time travelers and live in a fifth wheel. Today going to the grocery store a man checking on an Express checklane bag my three items in 3 separate bags and basically tossed them towards me, how rude. Unfortunately here in Rockport Texas they basically have you captured as it's the only grocery store in town, unless you want to shop in Walmart. All the other times I've been in that grocery store I have bagged my own groceries with my own grocery bags. My opinion is that this man was totally out of line and if there was a different grocery store in this town I would definitely be shopping there. read more
