They are very helpful to us, even on things like body and AC that they don't usually do. They take good care of our cars. If we need to go to another specialist, they will tell us. I have appreciated their advice and care of our cars. They will not do unnecessary work, nor insist that an expensive job be done immediately. I appreciate their courtesy and efficiency. It is important to know ahead of time when something will need to be done so we can plan for it, schedule-wise AND money-wise. They understand that. We have used them for several family cars now, and I think we have been able to extend the life of the cars due to excellent care. Thank you, Gp Auto-Tech for always working with us.

I rate this establishment 2 stars because the description fits how I feel: "Meh. I've experienced…read morebetter." Convenience: Pretty good if you live in Portland. They are pretty much your only choice for most car work sans going into another town. Speed: Depends. The shop gets packed with cars, so don't always expect to get out of there under an hour (after you find a place to park). Quality: I've heard stories, and you can expect them from all auto shops. However, they are always right. Complaints about most things usually get the "it was already like that" line. (No, door panel tabs do not come broken by the manufacturer.) Service: Aha, this is my biggest problem. Note, this is the abridged version as I am much more animated when I tell it myself. So there's a fella behind the counter who acts like he wrote the book on auto mechanics. All customers are ignorant of what goes on behind those garage doors. So I go in to get my tires rotated and aligned. After waiting all day, I get a call that they could not perform the task as their computer found a problem. They asked if I was willing to put $500 into replacement parts and I declined. I go to the counter to receive my keys and the lady says "Cash or Credit?" I say, "oh, you must think I'm someone else, nothing was done to my car, they told me to just pick it up." She tells me that they still charged me because they attempted to work on my car. I argue that I requested for my tires to be rotated and aligned, neither tasks were done, so therefore I should not be charged when no services were rendered. She says that the service was finding out that it couldn't be done. About this time aforementioned fella arrives, toting smirk . He says, "now you can't expect me to not pay my mechanics for the time it took to look at your car, why it's been here for over 4 hours!" Yes, 3 hours and 45 minutes providing shade to your parking lot, 15 minutes on the lift. He goes on about the mysteries of the alignment machine and the skill involved to operate said machine by pressing "Go." I argue that I didn't ask for my car to get a check-up, I asked for a do or don't do service. With what only can be described as insulting, he tells me there's no way I'm getting my keys back until I pay. Guess who won. So in summation, a little hole was burned into my heart of which I filled with spite for this "Auto-Tech" center. Your experience may vary.

This Stripes is located very close to the east beach and the Corpus Christi Historical area / Visitor Center / Museum District. It is a block or two past where I-37 becomes a regular road (from being a highway).

I paid for the Trout with a hand wax. Cost $100 total. The wheel wells were not clean. The step…read moreups were not clean. There was wax still on areas of my white truck. I had wax running down the emblems on the front and the back - easily seen - but left. The bumpers were still laden with dirt and dust. The inside was vacuumed and left with the mats still dirty. Overall the service sucked. The guy did not even come out to go over my truck with me. My truck is 6 months old and has 7k miles on it. It's new and it is easy to see what a lousy job they did. I will not go back. My 10 year old grandson does a better job of helping me clean my truck. I'll give him $50 in the future for his half of the work. Do not go here for your car wash / Detail needs. You will be disappointed.
