She showed me her full excitement about these VISKI Rolling Glasses. She opened the box and shared what they are; they literally roll. I quickly imagined how my chilled Pinot Grigio Colombard might look in it. It would look fantastic!! So I said Yes!! I began looking around the store a little. I saw interesting gadgets and a ceramic flamingo on its back holding up a wine bottle. The also had a ceramic polar bear on its back holding a wine bottle too. Then I noticed the Kaluha, which is usually a coffee liqueur. It's different now, it's rum and coffee liqueur mixed. I began looking for Cuvee Blanc, and found 4 bottles of the Korbet brand. Another clerk approached me and asked if I wanted to sample the Black Box Pinot Noir. Guess what my answer was? Well, of course. And it was a dark red, room temperature with a tannin bite. I ended up purchasing CHILA Cinnamon Cream. I'm going to try it in my coffee soon. Maybe just on ice too in my pretty cool rolling glasses. At the end, I asked Elizabeth about Bob and Darlene Hamilton, the previous owners of the Rockport Liquor chain stores. I explained that I used to work for them at 3 of the stores. But they were also my landlords as I actually living in an apartment above Quality Liquor Store on East Concho St. She said that they are now retired and traveling. That certainly make me smile!! Everything is different in Rockport now after Hurricane Harvey. It's clean, beautifully rebuilt, sttonger population and happier too. It really shows in the friendly service and instant approachability to clients. It is a place to love and cherish each day.

I ran into a very interesting young man (& sadly lost his name) with incredible lg rings in his ears (I can't describe it any other way-very handsome) and very very helpful. After purchasing my amounts, I then went outside to wait for my ride to return. I waited and waited and waited despite the heat staying outside as I thought my ride was returning soon. It didn't. But this young man, kept a constant eye on me to make certain I was ok, even to bringing me a bottle of ice cold water, and then, when my ride finally returned, he was there to help me into the van with my purchases. I cannot say enough about the courtesy and care that his young man gave to me. Which means, that your store is really doing something right. And as long as I live in Victoria, I will always shop here, although it may not be large purchases, but they are consistent. And as a side note, I'm a native Californian and your display of Californian wines really takes my breath away. I'm so very thrilled to see some many historic bottles of the vintages I grew up with. Fortunately, this place stocks coolers and coolers full of imports, the major national brands, and even some local beers! I was pleased to find Lorelei Brewing out of Corpus Christi here. I browsed the other sections, and found that they had an ample selection of the regular brands here, and lots of little airplane bottles as well! The staff was pleasant enough. They seemed more interested in stocking and getting their jobs done than giving me room to shop or answer questions. But they were busy, and I knew what I was looking for, so no big deal. The parking was super easy with a great lot that was well lit and clean.
