I've never had a bad experience at this H-E-B. They've always got the freshest produce in the area and the friendliest staff around. This trip was all about one thing. I had a hot date lined up and decided to pull out the big guns. Walked straight to the butcher counter, looked the man in the eye, and said, "Mate, I need something that says I mean business." He didn't flinch. Reached in and handed me a tomahawk ribeye the size of a cricket bat. I swear a light shined down on it. Seasoned it proper, bit of salt, pepper, garlic butter, and fired up the grill like I was hosting my own cooking show. The end result looked like art. Juicy, tender, and cooked to absolute perfection. When she saw it, she didn't even care about the sides. Just said, "You made this?" All I could think was, thank you H-E-B. You never miss. Went into this H-E-B on Friday night. It was 08:24pm and the cashier by the name of Jasmine P had a horrible attitude. I was accompanied by my sisters. We each had a transaction of our own. My first sister gets her items scanned and while inserting the chip on her card it was failure to read. Jasmine P. proceeds to then insert the chip herself to ensure it was done accurately. Pin pad wasn't reading and she grew frustrated. That was strike one. Then I'm next to pay; I was purchasing two balloons and she RUDELY said " I cant scan these without a barcode." I said "call someone!" Then the kindest woman named Glo came over and said to scan the balloon itself and it should process. Jasmine P proceeded and it worked. So the attitude was not needed or welcomed. Her manager than came over and said "turn off your light." (didn't catch managers name but he was male) Jasmine P than responds under her breath "you dont have to tell me twice." COMPLETELY UNCALLED FOR. Jasmine P. needs to create a plan where she is nicer and patient with the public, as she works in a customer service setting. I'm forced to give this place one star to get my message across. I ordered my groceries to be delivered, thinking it's H-E-B, this will be great! I don't know if it's through H‑E‑B or a partner company but my groceries were supposed to be here between 7-8PM..... it's 850 and I still don't have my groceries. I called the store at 820 to ask... and she says, immediately "it just pinged, it will be here there in 10 minutes. Or however far you live" . Additionally, not only it is 852 now, but they have already tipped themselves. Super disappointed in this service. read more

I'm so tired of complaining about this HEB Plus in Lytle. Nothing is ever done to improve anything. From getting over charged by cashiers to really rude employees. The only thing I get from management is that they're sorry. Yesterday was the worst for me. Was at the deli waiting for help, employee acknowledged me & said she would be with me shortly. Huge. This H-E-B has it all. It's a "plus" meaning they have outdoor furniture, food, clothes, etc. I stopped by on my way to San Antonio... all I did was use the restroom and a buddy purchased some snacks. Bathroom was semi clean and it seemed check-out was swift... I liked how big the store was and that there was a lot of options for anything you may need. read more

When they remodeled the store (the most recent time) they got rid of a lot of the work-from-home computer and office supplies that I depended upon. Now my choice is either order online or drive to San Antonio. I order online. read more

I would highly recommend this location. Staff is friendly, store is cleaned, and they offer. Nice variety of stuff. I found a vintage glass Christmas tree that was only $20 and groceries were affordable. The only downfall is they don't have much mens clothing. Went in your store this morning and asked for two rolls of grizzly longcut wintergreen snuff as I commonly do. The women at the counter went to one location and barely looked. She says we don't have any logs but we have 6 cans. I said you usually keep it under the cabinet. "no we don't have any logs!" I said well that's piss poor management. "we manage fine" she said". I could tell she did not want to be there from her lazy attitude. She says she was the manager, so I am guessing it all trickles down hill to the rest of your team. Might want to look into that!! The managers and staff at this H‑E‑B should be commended. They have gone thru people abuse since Covid started. Being yelled at, called names, attacked physically, stolen from, just looking at these reviews you can see the entitlement of some of these folks. In fact one of the bad reviews was from a person from San Antonio. We had tons of out of towners come to our HEB during Covid cuz they couldn't find stuff at there's and didn't want to deal with the lines there. No patience at all! This H‑E‑B kept it going despite people not preparing earlier when the cdc said to prepare in Dec. Instead people did a panic buy during the start of Covid then they complained when the shelf's were empty. This is one of the cleanest HEBs compared to San Antonio. They work hard, they try to keep every one safe and try to keep the shelf's stocked despite shortages. Panic buys are not HEBs fault, shortages are not HEBs fault. If you have your grocery's delivered that is thru a third party, not HEBs. Be patient. Thank a cashier, bagger, manager for their hard work during these difficult time. Don't take your frustrations out on them. I recommend this H‑E‑B. We have three new subdivisions being built of course it's going to get busier. read more

Most of Lytle, Tx. HEB is great, until you go to the deli counter. Our favorite (NOT!), "Niomi" loves to cut the first 4 or 5 slices of our deli meats and cheeses to the setting we ask for (.5) then ramp up the setting to about 1.5. With deli meats and cheeses approaching $10.00 per pound, Niomi has no worries that we may get to the house and be dissatisfied. However, we did find that the people at the HEB in San Antonio, @ Marbach road actually cut the deli products to the size we request. read more

Stay away from this place for a while! I was in there today. It was complete chaos. Groups of people were emptying entire sections of merchandise and wheeling the stuff around on carts, putting it elsewhere in the store. It was almost impossible to get through some of the aisles, but why bother, because the items that used to be there are gone. What a mess!!!! The soy milk shelves were empty. I asked an employee who was working in that aisle where the soy milk was, and he said that the people in the back (points to the workers-only area of the store in back of the cheese and eggs) would know. I waited a while, hoping that someone would emerge from that area, but no one appeared. read more

Curbside Service is amazing! I come every Friday after a long week of work & the Heb curbside service staff is ALWAYS so polite & willing to go above & beyond for me from giving cookies, water while I wait to going back in to exchange an item for a different brand. The service is so appreciative to a person like myself that can't always reach the bottom or top shelves or carry a large bag of dog food without dragging a family member along...Thank you HEB & all your Staff keep up the great work!! read more

First of all, let me start off by saying...it's HEB, so of course they deserve at least a 4 star rating. Second of all, I would like to say that basing your score on the fact that they have a "monopoly" in an area that essentially has no other options, is ridiculous. Regardless of their location, and lack of competition, this HEB meets the same quality and value of every other HEB you will find in the bigger cities. I love that they upgraded this location to an HEB plus! to accommodate the growing area. The fact that I live in the middle of nowhere, but now have access to the delicious Sushiya section you find in San Antonio, makes me very happy. This location serves up something unique that I have yet to see in town. They have their own convenience store, with an attached Whataburger. An expansion on their little kiosk gas pumps that they used to have, this convenience store has quite a bit to offer, and at HEB prices, as opposed to gas station typical prices. You can find quality wine at a reasonable price, just like you would if you went into the actual store. The gas prices themselves are always much lower here than anywhere else around. I do have to complain about one thing. Though I appreciate that they have a full size pharmacy, I don't know if they are understaffed or just really slow, but the drive-thru prescription pickup and drop off is a nightmare. In the peak of flu season, with my 3 year old in the back seat sick and miserable, I waited in the drive-thru for 55 minutes. Had there not been a car in front of me, and three cars behind me blocking me in, I would've given up the quest for Tamiflu. I can understand being busy, but in that case, please don't call and notify me that my prescriptions are ready, if I'm going to get there and still have to wait. read more
