It was not crazy busy, just loud outside from the school zone so she was difficult to hear. I didn't deserve the tone she displayed due to her being difficult to hear/understand. Came to have my daughter vaccinated for the flu. There was only two employees (one being the pharmacist). They were very busy and my reason for visit was taking a while (not their fault, just part of the insurance and screening). I did feel bad because of me their line was getting longer. Their line was long , phones ringing and drive thru busy. Their affects were dry towards customers but not rude. I understood their stress as we have all been there before. I did notice that even though they were busy and possibly stressed they still addressed the customer by their names and some it appeared they already knew personally. When it finally came for the pharmacist to give my girls their flu shot his affect changed. He was very nice , talkative and addressed my girls personally. He didn't rush them or ignore them even with the rush they were experiencing. I appreciated that tremendously. read more

I've been having this issue for a very long time now and to be honest, most of it is on me because I should've just switched pharmacies by now. But anyway.. So i have like 4 different diagnosed mental illnesses that I've been prescribed 20 milligrams of antidepressants for. I've been on these medications for almost 2 years now, and about every other month I experience horrible withdrawal symptoms (brain zaps, increased depression, suicidal thoughts, crying a lot, moodiness, etc.) Why aren't I taking my meds and experiencing withdrawal symptoms you may ask? I'm not doing it by choice, it's because this pharmacy always fails to give me my medicine on time. At first, I'll admit, I would call to refill my medicine pretty late. I did that to myself. But now? I call a week in advance, and it's still not ready, even a week later. The fact that they changed their hours so they're not open as late anymore AND they're closed on weekends, doesn't help at all. As of today it's been like, 3-4 days without my medicine, and I feel like my brain is being electrocuted every time I walk. And anytime I get slightly stressed I get incredibly suicidal. I just want my medicine lol. As a retail employee I understand it might be difficult to get everything done on time, and the staff is really nice. But my health comes first... so 2 stars. Also one time they told me my medicine would be ready by a certain day and they kept switching it up on me. I'm really tired of having to deal with this like every other month. As a previous community/retail pharmacist, I can honestly say this pharmacy has terrible customer service. 1) They didn't transfer my dad's scripts in a timely manner (I gave them a day) 2) They refused to call my dad's insurance company to get his member ID information when the insurance didn't send his card yet. I tried to get it myself from the insurance but they said only the member or pharmacy could call on my dad's behalf. 3) Once I finally finagled the member ID numbers from my insurance, the pharmacy wouldn't even re-bill the script over the phone. They made me bring the info when I picked up the script. read more

Walked in for a vaccine appointment I made (and I was on time mind you) and the doctor was busy. He said he would be right with me. A minute or so later, his assistant came up to help and mentioned that the doctor would be with me soon. A few minutes later she asked him if she could help get things started for the vaccine patient (me). He proceeded to tell her that he was not taking any vaccine patients today which I could hear him say. When she relayed the information to me I informed her that I was confused because I had an appointment. She mentioned this to him and he told her that since they were understaffed he could not take me. The ONLY reason this review is even getting 1 star is because the assistant was extremely nice and empathetic about the situation. There was nothing she could do about it, but I am extremely disappointed with how the Pharmacist handled the situation. First of all, I could hear him tell the assistant that he would not take me which was tactless. He could have had the decency to tell me himself. Secondly, I made an appointment and went out of my way to be there! I understand they were busy and understaffed but the doctor decided to prioritize the patients that were at the drive thru over a patient who legitimately set up an appointment. Extremely disrespectful in my opinion. I do not recommend this Walgreens for appointments whatsoever. read more

Never has medicine ready in time allotted. They are out of medicines and don't even offer to be of assistance. Instead give you a bunch of lip of why they don't want to help. Ever since Stanton left the pharmacy should close since they don't want to work or help people in any manner. Uggghhh. I have always been a Walgreens customer, but this location makes it so hard. They just don't communicate at all. The pharmacist mumbles incoherently and does nothing to try to understand or solve problems. The staff will make these good-will promises like, "We will let you know when we get the medication in!" But then you never get a call. And when YOU call to check on it, the pharmacist says he never knew anything about it. And then he might throw some shade like telling you it will cost $130. This is your standard Walgreens they have the same offerings as others. I can't understand why this location closes so early. I knew it was going to be a good shopping experience when I walked in and 2 of the sales associated greeted me at the door! They offered immediate assistance and said to let them know if I couldn't find anything and they would be happy to help. I found my item with no problems, and was on my way in no time. I'll just add my review here, in case anyone reads them. My toddler bit a hole through his lip in a playing accident. A GIANT HOLE ALL THE WAY THROUGH GUYS. He got stitches, and needed antibiotics. My regular walgreens didn't have it, so they sent it to one 2.2 miles from my house. (remember that- 2.2 miles). I confirm my phone number with my pharmacy to make sure I get an alert. My 4:50, nothing has come. I don't know the pharmacy hours, but I call. They say, oh its been ready since noon. They had no idea why I didn't get any kind of alert. I ask if they can please tell the pharmacist my 21 month old son has a giant hole in his lip, and can we please speed over there? We live 2.2 miles away. She puts me on hold FOR FOUR MINUTES, meanwhile, my husband leaves anyway to race over there. She finally comes back on and says "yes, the pharmacist says that it serious, and he can send it to a 24 hour pharmacy for you". I said, please, my husband is almost there. She said we HAVE to close at 5. Really? Why is that? How are you on the phone with me at 5:06 then? This is what is wrong with corporate pharmacies. A mom and pop place, people with kids of their own, would of understood it wasn't my fault the alert didn't come through and have given me ten more minutes. When we hung up, my husband was less than a half mile away. THIS IS SHAMEFUL WALGREENS. What happened to people caring about other people anymore? I'll spend the evening with a toddler who is crying his eyes out and try to call urgent care and get them to send it somewhere else. What a disaster. read more

Keep in mind, this is only a review for the pharmacy. The so called pharmacy takes 4+hrs to fill a PRESCRIPTION? I dropped it off at 4pm and was told it would be done by 7pm. Ok, fine I give you credit for taking 3hrs and setting the expectation. I came back at the time indicated and waited 30+ minutes in the drive-thru only to realize that you were just now filling my prescription! I called to confirm via the automated system, and there was no knowledge of my Rx. Get your act together, you have wonderful people working but horrible timing! read more

They're always short staffed no one in the drive-through I'm the only car and they will not attend me they leave me here for :15 minutes before they say we will be right with you and another :15 minutes go by and the medicine I came for they don't even have. We were visiting San Antonio from Portland, OR. We were trying to find a place that would print high quality photos for my family before we left. After trying several other places, we could not find anywhere that could print a decent high quality digital print. Then we went to Walgreens website and used their online service as a last resort. I wish we would have gone there the first time cause it would have saved us a lot of trouble. The quality of their digital prints are awesome and the staff at the Potranco Walgreens were kind and gave prompt service when we came to pick them up. We will recommend to others. read more
