I have always had great customer service with the Boerne H.E.B. . The Pharmacy and Grocery Department are great at all they do. Tonight I got groceries and I was putting my stuff in the cart to take to my truck. When I got home I realized I didn't have one of the things I needed for the week as I looked at my receipt I did buy it. I went back in hopes my shredded cheese was still there. The cashier, Ike, had moved to a different register so I waited till he had a second and asked if there had been a bag of shredded cheese left at the other register. He remembered it and went down to the register to retrieve it for me. Ike, you have a great personality that it takes for customer service you did a great job at checking me out of the store but remembering and keeping my cheese up front. Message to any ladies getting married, do not go to another overpriced florist for your wedding flowers!! HEB Blooms did such a great job on my wedding and they did it all for half the cost! Eddie was great to collaborate with and really knew what he was talking about. He even threw in a complimentary white rose bouquet just in case we needed it. I visited my friend in Texas and so this is my first time shopping at HEB. It is a very clean store with friendly customer service. They have a good selection of wines among fruits and vegetables...also organic foods. The restrooms are also very clean and kept up. read more

This review is specifically for the H-E-B floral department and Tamme Boynton. They did the flowers for my wedding on 8-16-14. They turned out beautiful and were reasonably priced. And even more important, Tamme is all about the customer. She was very patient and flexible with me as I changed my mind on what flowers I wanted for my wedding day. I would recommend this floral department to anyone who needs flowers for a wedding or otherwise. They are very knowledgeable and you can trust them to do an amazing job!!! read more

My favorite HEB. I happily drive ten miles out of the way, passing two other HEBs to come to this location. Store is so comfortable to shop in and I love their bulk food options and selection of organic fruits and produce. Staff is always friendly and helpful and if you use the Glaier water service, it's only $1.25 per 5 gallons! Hours are so convenient too, opening at 6am. read more

I am usually pleased with this H-E-B on a regular basis. I shop late in order to avoid crowds. Tonight I am standing in line to check out and an employee (I didn't catch his name) asked if he could cut in line (only two checkout lanes open) to checkout his own items. Since when do customers come after employees?? I allowed him to cut but found it inappropriate. Especially with a cashier and what looked like a manager or supervisor watching. The express line can be quite challenging! Doesn't feel like an express line. Please have your best people on those lines. Otherwise it's faster in a regular line. read more

This store has a terrible record when it comes to stocking BRAND product other than the HEB items. Lets get real. They have eliminated, just in the deli Butterball oven roasted turkey, Kreshmar Off the Bone Ham. And all so they can sell more HEB junk. HEB in our neighborhood stands for "Hates Every Brand". Try to find Pepperidge Farm Frozen Garlic bread, Out of stock, but there's the HEB brand that no body will touch. Go to the cheese section and look for Kraft regular sliced swiss cheese, Nope it's only the thick Telemonke cheese which they swapped out for the Finlandia Swiss cheese. They are so anti brand that they get Sanderson Farms to repack Chicken into HEB brand. In the soup section they eliminated the Campbells Soup display plastic racks which alphabetized all the selections just so they could get more facings for the HEB soups which again go untouched. So let's look at the refrigerated section for Yoplait Blueberry Yogurt in individual servings. NONE. Now lets get to the canned vegetables. If you want the brand and are over 60 get ready to get on your knees. Del Monte anything is on the bottom row. IF they have it. Again plenty of the HEB stuff center bulls eye. Del Monte Pickled Beets - constantly out of. Prego traditional spaghettis sauce, the number 1 brand in the class. Bottom row. Paper goods what a joke, 7 months into Covid and you still can't get Bounty 2 packs but there is the HEB junk. Gatoraid 8x12oz lemonlime, none for 5 weeks. They say their vendor won't ship them enough. Go to Wal-Mart and they have plenty, Go to CVS they have plenty. So now let's get to the last straw. The HEB employees who collect the groceries for those to lazy to go into the store. They park their carts in the middle of the aisles and won't get out of your way while they stand there and talk to each other. WE are the customer and should come first. They need to have set hours during the night when they fill those orders so that the rest of us aren't always inconvenienced. Boerne is an affluent small town that deserves better than this. We are getting tired of having HEB tell us what we can buy. Be a grocery store and carry what we want. Real Brands. The only saving grace at this store is some of it's employees. Love this HEB! My Favorite!!I pass two other HEBs on my way home from work. And I made early Friday morning my shopping day its worth the12.04 miles drive for me The staff is so friendly and the people you meet while shopping. Not rude!! Very clean I have 3 HEBs with in 7 to 10 miles around me and every one is trash and don't have half the things that I need And I don't like going from one store to another just to buy what I need. Eddie of HEB Blooms is so amazing and sweet! He helped me coordinate my floral order for my wedding even though I live 4 hours away. His recommendations in terms of rose colors was on point. With his guidance, the florals were one of the most striking aspects of our wedding. I could not be more grateful for his insight and willingness to work around our wedding day schedule. I've been shopping at this store for years and it used to be a really good experience. I don't know if they've changed managers or what's happened but this store's quality has declined. With all the HEB employees stocking in the middle of the day and and the others filling orders with those huge carts for curbside pickup all blocking the aisles, I dread shopping. I've tried going early in the morning but the meat isn't out in the custom area or some things just haven't been stocked. But the most disturbing issues are in the past couple months I've picked up cheese with good expiration dates but when I get home, the cheese is molded, or I've bought milk only to get home to discover expiration date is past, or the bread in the bakery was baked 4 days earlier. This store is really disappointing. Update: I came back to edit the same day of my earlier post. Add to the list of moldy food - bought slider buns two days ago and the expiration date is October 6, 2019 - opened them up and moldy mildew all over most of them read more

HEB is an awesome grocery store and excellent on customer service. After dropping my truck keys down the 20 ft storm grate, the store manager and a very helpful employee fished them out with a roll of wire and a magnet!!! turned dreadful into amazing!Hugs! Best Customer Service Ever! A couple of weeks ago, I had been to the HEB Plus in Boerne to recycle my plastic bags and pick up a few things. That night, I realized I had misplaced my cell phone. Thinking it had probably just slid down between the seats of my car, I figured I'd find it in the morning. The next day, I looked everywhere in my car and throughout my house. No phone nowhere! With that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, I remembered that there is a way to track phones through my provider. I got on my computer, logged in and provided my password. To my amazement, I could literally see using a satellite view that my phone was in a grassy area next to the HEB store. Online I was also able to lock my phone, display a message of "lost phone please call..." and sent "ping" noises to it. With renewed hope, I got in my car and scurried off to retrieve my lost "limb!" When I arrived, I could see that the grassy area where I believed my phone was turned out to be a fenced in water drainage area. Thinking I'd better not "try this at home," I went to the customer service desk to ask if they could help me. The girl behind the desk was sympathetic and courteous. She called a manager (Sharon) and told me that Sharon and an HEB partner named Roberto would meet me out near the area. They spent the next 30 minutes with me trying to find my phone. We looked and looked and my husband "pinged" and "pinged" the phone from his office. We finally determined it was a lost cause, and I thanked them for their generous help. I drove home sad but very grateful for the heroic effort they made on my behalf. We had tried our best and there was peace in that. When I got home, I got on the computer one more time to see where my phone was and noticed that my phone's reported location had moved away from the grassy area and towards the dumpsters on the side of the store. I hesitated to call the store (not wanting to disrupt their day any further) but decided to call Sharon and just see one more time if it was possible to find it. I would not have been surprised or even mad if she had said, "I'm sorry I just can't spend any more time on this." Instead, Sharon cheerfully greeted me on the phone and immediately went out to the dumpsters. I "pinged" the phone and Sharon heard it. She found it in the bottom of the plastic bag recycling bin that had been brought over for emptying. "I've got it," she reported. I raced back to the store for my beloved phone! I've always liked this store; it has all the big city luxuries but the wonderful, friendly, helpful Boerne people. But after this experience, I sure I am their biggest fan! I know this is what people are "supposed to do" but we all know that kind of help is hard to find these days. It was exceptional customer service and just plain old caring for other people. I often hear Howard E. Butts' Laity Lodge "High Calling of our Daily Work" radio spots as I drive around town and couldn't help but feel blessed that I had experienced that kind of service at an HEB store. I live in Bandera so the trip to Boerne must be productive. I shop at HEB Boerne because their organics in fresh produce and throughout the store is awesome. I am a nutritionist and know TOO MUCH about what is and isn't in our foods which can be scary. Boerne meets and even exceeds my needs in every category. Just amazing. To name just a few are their eggs, Central Market Turkey and Grass fed beef (no hormones or antibiotics). They have an HEB brand of "organics" groceries too that includes salad dressing, apple sauce, beans etc., and a variety of organic nuts and seeds. The list is much longer but those are examples. I am also very impressed with their health foods section. Its better than a stand alone health food store in most cases. I am currently working with them to get "Honest" Moroccan Mint Green tea in store. It has the highest rating of antioxidants of any bottled organic tea I have researched. Its also very low sugar which is hard to find. Called their grocery department and they are working on it. Grrrreat store! read more
