This review is for the floral and bakery apartments. I ordered two fall colored flower arrangements for a party. I took a picture and provided specific flower requests. Though the flowers I received were pretty, they were not of the color scheme requested. Some of that is due to luck. You never know what comes in on the truck. As far as the cake, it was a huge disappointment. I left specific instructions and a picture, and the product received looked nothing like the request. The decorators did a poor job creating fall colored roses. It was so bad the employee working in the bakery tried to fix the decor and ended up offering me 50% off. I honestly expect better from a bakery, but things happen. Fortunately, the cake tasted very good. read more

Employees are more interested in the Pokemon machine than helping customers I saw one guy stop bagging groceries in middle and run to machine... another day one of the sushi guys ran from the sushi counter to the machine and emptied it out and ran back to making a sushi , never washing hands etc Just lazy rude employees. Laziest management which is typical for HEB. Never held with bagging or checking out customers. Not really managing just standing on one side of the check out or the other. I worked in a grocery store in the late 50's. The management was in all aspects of the store. I have never seen an HEB employee assist an elderly person put their groceries on the conveyor belt. The only helpful employees are the ones collecting groceries for delivery or pickup. The employees never move aside for a customer pushing a basket. They are rude and indifferent. Another issue is all of the inferior HEB brands and the lack of name brand merchandise. The name brands or either on the bottom or top shelf with limited inventory. Someone needs to overall the employee training,attitude and merchandising in this and other stores. It's pitiful. It's a joke and not a good one and it's not confined to this location. It applies to all HEBs. read more

Absolute worst curbside HEB there is. Plan on 20 minute wait even if there is only one or two cars.... Every single time. Store is dirty, hardly stocked and really just not the typical HEB pride by this management. Lazy lazy lazy. read more

I have shopped at this HEB location since it opened. The employees are always friendly and helpful, and my food is fresh, and the store is clean. I misread a coupon, and the cashier was kind enough to put it through. I noticed I always walk out with a smile. Just a nice neighborhood market. Will happily shop here from now on. read more

This store is beautiful inside and out! This location opened 10 days ago and I figured the store would be crowded. However it was not at 8 pm on a Saturday evening. Shelves were stocked and there were lots of items we had not seen before at any of the stores in San Antonio. Especially in the produce section. The floral department was well stocked with beautiful fresh flowers and the outdoor garden department was closed but we got to glance inside for a sneak peek. The meat department had a large variety of meats to choose from. This was a quick trip in the new location and we will be going back soon to purchase our groceries here and take more pictures. Do not waste your money on organic produce at this store. It is nearly always spoiled when you get it home. This has been my experience with their onions, berries, apples, pre-packaged organic celery sticks and cilantro. What you can see thru the packaging looks fine but once you get home and open it, the interior pieces are rotten . I have thrown away so much food from them it's ridiculous. HEB undercuts and drives every competitor out and then their quality tanks. It's a sad day when Walmart has superior organic produce than a grocery store does. read more

Store is really nice and big. Parking area isn't overly crowded either. People working there were very friendly.

The HEB's social sticking it to "rich" tax is evident here. HEB loves to charge more at some stores to give poorer area a big break. But not everyone in the zip is "rich". Social moralist...DEI pricing FOR example, I bought one item for $1.09 last week at a different store but at this store it was $1.69 a lb. Best advise is order on line and change stores for best prices. read more

This location has a crawfish boil every Friday Saturday and Sunday. The crawfish are amazing and the shrimp are to die for. They even have lobster and crab legs along with sausage corn and potatoes. I highly recommend trying it. They serve between 1230 and 6pm. read more

I have never in my life have heard of a more rude manager than the one my mother experienced today at the fair oaks location. His name was Jeremiah. My mom had $10-$20 in coupons on her app and the young girl checking her out went so fast my mom couldn't type in her phone number. My mom brought this to her attention and she didn't know how to scan her app or redo the transaction. Jeremiah the "manager" comes over and starts giving my mom attitude and raising his voice at her for no reason. He kept saying that she needed to contact customer support to get a refund for the coupon money. When my mom asked for the phone number he refused to give it to her. Which I know is a lie because I've worked customer service and all you have to do is make a return and rescan everything with the coupon. He refused to do that and continued to raise his voice in front of everyone embarrassing my mom. He yelled at her saying "I've worked here 5 years" and "you clearly don't want a solution to your problem". After he yelled that he proceeded to yell "I'm not talking to you anymore" and walked away. My mom went to the customer service desk and decided to refund everything like I said previously to get her money back. Jeremiah sees her and comes back over yelling at her again and hovering over the customer service desk listening to what my mom was telling the person helping her. My mom is hypoglycemic and her blood sugar was dropping all while he was causing her to have an anxiety attack. There is absolutely zero excuse for that. I hope that problem with Jeremiah gets solved because that is really embarrassing that a new location is already having people of power act like this to customers. I will be leaving a bad review. I also will never shop at this location. read more
