Best company EVER!! When FEMA doesn't show up ... HEB does. I've never met one employee that doesn't love their job!!

This is my go to store because it's the only HEB in town! I wanted to purposely give Mauricio a shoutout! I had a lot of items in my hand and he went to go get a basket for me. Now that's great customer service! I am always using curbside and love this! This makes shopping more convenient for me and the people are always friendly. My reason for four stars is I never get a message saying my curbside order is ready. I just show up around my time and sometimes it takes 20 minutes to get my order to me. Samples are back! Here Everything's Better. This HEB is a big one. It was custom built, a new building right off I-10, with an interesting imposing looking design. This HEB carries a garden section, with more stuff in stock and on display than other HEB Plus locations. They were selling all sorts of pots, seeds, seedlings, full plants, garden decor, and dirt. If you're unfamiliar with HEB, you need to get your non-Texan boots right on in there ASAP and find yourself some of those Texas shaped chicken nuggets and Whataburger ketchup. So HEB is doing samples again! When I went by the Cooking Connections, they were out there again giving out bites to eat. I had an Asian five spice salmon with some slaw. Nom. It's been over a year since I had a sample in the grocery store. This place is big. Just big! It has a wider selection than most HEBs than I'm used to, with wide aisles and a huge freezer section. The clearance section was not as big as you'd think with the magnitude of this store. It was located over by the dog food. The staff was friendly as always, and the check out clerk was speedy and nice. The store was clean, and had lots of fresh looking produce. \ I'll certainly get back to this HEB Plus. Why is the Boerne H-E-B the only one that is allowing no masks and not having people follow the distancing guideline?! All the other H-E-B stores have had and Entrance and an Exit- clearly marked and they tell people - this one has people every which way and they are too close!! To start the store itself isn't too terrible but let me tell you the people inside are without a doubt. They have no sense of direction, no manners, and just stroll through the middle of the Isles and take up all the room. Incredibly, without a doubt the most chaotic shopping experience ever. I've been in many stores like HEB and I've never experienced such chaos. If you wanna get in and out I'd recommend just growing and making your own stuff it would probably be quicker. read more

Hurray for H-E-B here! Came in around 930pm in a pinch, We were on our way to a wedding with the Rehearsal Dinner brisket. We gave them to my sister-in-law to store and she put them in the freezer. Doh! We had bought them 2 days prior with the 1.96/lb sale that was going on. The HEB manager and staff were so helpful and not only allowed us to switch the Briskets out for non-frozen ones but still allowed us to get the promo price which had ended the day prior. Saved us a good 50 dollars. HEB, you were a lifesaver! Kudos to this location and their staff for being so flexible and ensuring the customer came first. I wish this HEB was closer to my house, it would quickly become my primary store. read more

Tamme is AMAZING! My husband is from Brazil, and I really wanted to reflect elements of his culture in our "country French"-themed wedding, so I was wondering how a florist could blend those two opposite themes into one, but Tamme did it seamlessly. She worked within our budget and made great suggestions for switching out pricier flowers for less expensive but similar ones, and it all just looked FANTASTIC. She combined roses, greenery and other flowers with small orchids (that touch of Brazil I was looking for), and it came out flawlessly, and so unique. Tamme is patient, talented, and understands how to work within a budget. Do yourself a favor and let her use her own creativity to make your wedding special, instead of strictly sticking with the pictures you found on Pinterest :). The only thing I regret from our wedding is that I didn't have more time to just look at all the beautiful arrangements she made! Highly recommended! :) read more

Worst curbside service ever. I have a 6pm pickup time. Came at 6:12. Cars have come and gone. When I asked why other cars get ahead I was told it's because they had early pickup times and come later. My order finally showed up at 7:25. Who has an hour and 10 minutes to waste after their scheduled pickup time. Never again!! read more

Had called ahead to the electronics department looking for a particular item. The gentleman I spoke with was very friendly and knowledgable. First, total shock when we walked in, what a beautiful store. Wide aisles, clean, largest produce section we've seen in a long time. But I digress. Went back to the electronic section. Found the guy I had talked to on the phone. He was wonderful. Helped me narrow down what I was looking for. They had one. Asked him about the return policy. We are full time RV'ers, and we're leaving the area again the next day. He told me if we needed to return it, it would have to be at another HEB Plus store. He then asked which way we were going. Told him west. He was very nice and told us upfront that there were no HEB Plus's west and suggested that we may want to go to a big box store instead. Just in case the item didn't work the way we expected. What a refreshing experience. read more

While most HEBs have super nice, helpful staff members, this HEB must hire the opposite. The plant dept in Boerne has some of the rudest workers out there. They also water the plants where all the water rolls down the entrance way and get upset if you happen to accidentally trip over a hose. I am surprised no one has slipped and fallen with as slippery it is as well. read more

My New Favorite Store We had never been to a HEB plus store however they have won our loyalty. It's not just a store but a event for sure Not even sure where to start They literally have the best of everything at lowest price. And the displays are so beautiful The produce is the freshest. It rivals home grown. The meat selection is beyond words. Everything has options with seasoning. We love the lemon pepper chicken and sword fish. My can't miss is the yeast donuts in flavors never seem before like the lemon drop and raspberry, peanut butter and jelly They have eggs regularly at .88 for jumbo. The dog section is equal to any pet store and organic my baby's say Thank You. And the woman's section for makeup etc is bigger than box stores at nearly half the price. Plant section is largest I've seen and home decor is amazing... plus on Friday's and Saturday's they have stations set up all over store to try samples and get recipe cards. Including wine which I don't drink but ppl say they are Great! We had best grilled sword fish and fish tacos ever! We are now one of their fav customers read more

I love my HEB! The produce selection is over the top and very fresh. Right now they are doing some rearranging that I am not happy with (shelves and item location). I like knowing where everything is located. Another problem is parking. The handicapped parking is almost always full next to the front of the produce side entrance and they don't have enough handicapped parking to the pharmacy entrance side. That is the only reason I would give them a 4 star not 5. read more

Apologized but told her I do not need apologies I need protection from COVID and them to enforce the requirement. I see from other posts this is not new and was an issue throughout. Just tried curbside pickup for the first time on Monday. What a great experience! I was pretty skeptical wondering if it would actually be efficient or not. Having that said I was pleasantly surprised! 4 minutes after I arrived someone was outside helping me load all my groceries. I think this Is a wonderful new service H-E-B now offers. I have been going to the Boerne HEB for over a year with my 7-pound service dog with no problems. I keep my dog in the child seat to make sure that he never gives anyone any problems or makes them feel uncomfortable. My dog lays perfectly still and does not bark or growl at anyone. I'm a disabled combat veteran with bad PTSD and this dog keeps my anxiety levels down so I don't start freaking out. Yes, I have a letter from my doctor (a real, local doctor, not the online bs that you read about) and he has his tags, ID, and "service dog" vest. Like I said earlier, I have never had any problems shopping in this, or any other, HEB before. The manager that approached me said that HEB had a no pets policy. I explained to him that my dog was a service animal and I pointed out his vest and ID...which he was wearing. He then switched excuses and said that due to Covid the policies had changed. Someone needs to educate him that dogs do not carry Covid. This is a horrible way to treat people that have service animals. I used to shop exclusively at HEB, but I'll take my business elsewhere and I hope other people with service animals do the same. Very disappointed read more

I have to say im quite disappointed in H‑E‑B today. I've done curbside ALOT and for the most part I've been extremely satisfied. Today was not one of those experiences. I set my time and ordered my groceries. Once I checked out, my time was confirmed for two hours later. I looked at it again ti make sure and even used the help option and se t a message but was not sure they would see this in time. I came to pick up and after waiting for 30 minutes I was told my order was not ready and o had not come at the right time. I explained the situation and I got no understanding just a simple well I'm sorry but you will need to come back at your time. She did say their systems had been acting up. It was frustrating but it was not the girls fault. I came back at the time I was told, and got there on time. I waited another twenty minutes which I thought they would at least be prompt due to the time mix up but nope! So this really upsets me as time is important to all. Not to mention that if you have an issue with your order it's hard to reach anyone regarding this order and the app says contact us but we will respond in 2 days. Best. Supermarket. EVER !!! Such amazing and friendly staff, always willing to answer questions or lend a hand with a smile. They're great! And the bakery -- where to begin. They always steer you to their best and freshest. And they do amazing work. From birthday cakes made of cupcakes (to drop off in the classroom) to the cannolis ..... they really show out! They did a frosting top that was blue flowers... looked so good that we felt guilty eating it. By only guilty enough to take a few seconds before diving in. I've preordered 1 week in advance and they were always on time. I've even ordered by calling in the same day for pickup 6 hrs later, and they were still so accommodating. Also, last year during the lead in to a major storm, all the gas stations started running out of fuel. And people were waiting in line 20-30 minutes to get fuel. Most of the gas stations raised their prices (simply because they could.... supply and demand economics, right). But not HEB... when they ran out of regular unleaded, they dropped the prices of premium unleaded AND apologized for the inconvenience!!! Who does that in this day and age? What great customer service and community commitment. Gotta love HEB ! We're HEB customers for life read more

HEB you rock! They definitely know how to do things right. The veggies and fruits are always fresh and even their rice cakes are popped fresh. I know rice cakes - really. But yes, I took them home and put some Agave syrup on it and it was a great little snack. Plus for some reason I just liked eating them. We also enjoyed the wine and food samplings and got some good advice from one of their chefs on how to use a sauce he was sampling. There are a lot of people there, but we got thru the checkout lines really fast so I call that great! read more

This HEB Plus is the best, it is my favorite place to go for groceries. It was most definitely worth the rather extensive wait for it to be completely redone. When it reopened I spent my first trip going through the aisles, amazed at how much they had improved the store, thinking that it was completely worth it. Their prices are very competitive, they almost always beat the prices for the other major chain in Boerne. Sorry for being long winded, but this store is huge, lots to talk about. First of all, the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help you. The baggers always help me unload my cart onto the belt, this very, very rarely happens at other stores I never have to ask for help taking my groceries to the car, there is always someone there to help you. The staff in the specialized departments are always very helpful and knowledgeable about the products. They could use a few more handicapped parking spaces, they are pretty much always full when I go there. They now have a large number of the motorized carts, I have never gone and had to wait for one, before the makeover they didn't have enough motorized carts at all. There are drive thru lanes for the pharmacy, which is very convenient for people that are in a hurry or those of us with disabilities. They have a huge selection of items in each section, pretty much everything you could want in a grocery store, plus more. They have some wonderful departments. Here are some of the specialized departments: Floral, Bakery, Electronics, Seafood, Deli, a sushi station, Wine and Beer, Business Center and more. HEB has a wonderful indoor cafe of sorts, you can eat at the store or buy the items in bulk to take home. They have such a huge selection and so far everything that I have had was wonderful. From prime rib to gumbo to gourmet sandwiches to shrimp in remoulade sauce, there are too many to name. Do yourself a favor and check it out, everything is fresh and you can try samples of most items. If you like the gumbo, they sell the base in the seafood shop, it's the gumbo base and okra, you can personalize it by adding whatever you want. The fresh artisan breads are wonderful. All of the desserts that I have tried are very good. There is a white chocolate mousse layered cake topped with fresh raspberries that is to die for, it comes in two sizes. The cannolis and tarts are very good as well. Unlike most store brands, HEB's brand are great. Give them a try. Okay, this may seem out of left field but, if you are a fan of grits, please do yourself a favor and buy the HEB brand called True Grits. They have butter, crushed red peppers, bacon and cheese mixed in. They are hands down the best grits that I have ever had, I can't even eat other grits anymore, they just don't measure up to HEB's grits. Their beauty section has a great selection and good prices, plus there are always sales going on. They have beauty consultants there to help you if you should need it. The only problem with this store is how much I can easily end up spending, the selection is so great that I always find so many items that I want. I could go on and on about this HEB Plus but this review is way too long as it is! If you haven't been since it has been redone, you have to check it out, it's a fantastic store! read more

Love the Boerne HEB! Great clean store with good prices and excellent meat market with briskets and beef ribs always available. Only a five minute drive from home and usually really easy to get to unless work in being dome on I-10! Stop at the "Original" Rudys in Leon Springs on the way for some pretty decent BBQ (for the SA area anyway). read more

Curbside delivery is a life changer for us! We are able to get our weekly shopping done quickly. It's wonderful to have someone else take care of this time consuming chore. We have learned to select carefully and pay attention to sizes of products. Most vegetables are as good as if we select them ourselves. Any issues are corrected to our satisfaction. The best H-E-B to which I have even been. To put it ironically, the only bad thing about my experience there is that the place simply wreaked of classiness! Everyone seemed happy to be there. The clientele had a positive "je ne sais quoi" about themselves; the employees all seemed happy, too. The store has amazing prices and great produce. The employees are professional. The restrooms are clean. The only issue is it has gotten really crowded. Sunday afternoon you almost need a helmet and elbow pads :) There are very few parking spots. Still, HEB is the best grocery! read more

I honestly cannot believe all of these 5 star reviews of HEB Boerne unless none of these folks have never shopped anywhere else besides a Walmart. I have been living here for 3 years and it was pretty good for the first couple years. I was very pleased. this HEB has gone down hill so far and so fast in the past 6 months, I'm not sure if there's been a management change or what. I as many other local Boerne people only buy organic produce there. I went in today and the organic produce isle is completely gone now. I used to go in straight to that isle, get my produce and go. It was fabulous. Now it doesn't exist. I ASK WHY? I tried to find someone in the produce department to help yet not a soul out on the floor except for the curbside delivery workers who do not know anything about the store or it's managers. There is plenty of demand in this town for organic produce. This store still has a little but not much of the organic produce items yet it's shoved into a corner into tiny bins instead of nicely displayed (like it used to be). The tiny non aerated bins will make the produce rot quickly. It is extremely disappointing that this H-E-B does not cater to the demands of this community Boerne. I as a concerned citizen of Boerne urge HEB to bring back and actually expand your organic produce. I am positive if you do do you will gain many new loyal customers. As of now I am one loyal customer that is now searching to buy my groceries elsewhere. So very disappointed. read more
