5 stars for a th holiday deal on rib roast ! And to Wyatt and Joe in the meat market! Along with Joe getting my rib roast trimmed just the way I wanted Wyatt also in the meat market caught me at the checkout with Turkey Gizzards when they were out of chicken gizzards. I get them for my little love doggie Leah. I never thought of Turkey gizzards but she loved them . They are cheaper than dog food and I enjoy cooking for her . Bakery the Coconut Cream Pie & Peach Pie worst $25.00 I ever spent. The employee told me the Coconut Cream Pie was homemade cost $14.95 I knew as soon as I took bite tasted like a fake filling & saturated with fried coconut no flavor. The Peach Pie special $9.95 worst flavor tasted like all Nutmeg & crust was soft almost like raw dough. I was so upset it was a surprise for husband birthday really sad & disappointed I will never shop their bakery again. read more

Lowe's Lowe's, everywhere you go! This place isn't huge. They've got lots of stuff for hanging out by the river or whatnot. Things like giant cases of beer and jerkey seem to be the norm here. Don't go here hoping for stuff for people with food allergies, as another Yelper said. This place has the basics, and cheap prices. It's good for a neighborhood store, or if you're just blasting through going to the river, it's a great place to stop! I got all kinds of stocked up on all my grocery needs here. The staff was pleasant and friendly, and got me checked out quickly. I didn't have to mess around with any kind of loyalty cards or discount clubs, which is always nice. This store didn't seem to have any specialties, other than large quantities of fresh food, which isn't a bad thing. Parking was easy with a large lot, and free carts. There's no HEB's anywhere near this place, so Lowe's it is! read more

I have had a very poor customer experience trying to resolve a mid priced "manager special" Turkey. A freezer end cap with large sign "Manager Special $.59 lb" I take a bird, get charged $1 lb. I go to CS desk for fix/correction/credit I am told to walk back to the freezer case at the back if the store to get a different, properly tagged bird. I wasted 39 minutes waiting on CD desk line, walking back to meat area, then back to CS desk to wait on line again. Ridiculous poor Customer Experience. I was made to feel "less than" and "wrong"rather than appreciated and understood..... Manager at CS desk dismissed the matter "those are the rules"..... really? I have spent $6000 annually for 11 years at this store. Now, over an unnecessary-hassle of $4.78 credit on a frozen Turkey, I will plan shopping at HEB in Boerne. It's 5 miles further away, but perhaps have better management. read more

I bought a package of Ozark Hearth brown n serve rolls today. When I got home and opened the package all the rolls were moldy on the bottom. I checked the package and there was no sell by date or expiration date, but Lowe's should do a better job of making sure their products are not moldy or rotten. Very disappointed and would think twice of going back to purchase any sort of bread products or packages where you can't view the entire product. Disgusting moldy bread! read more

I bought 1 lb. Swiss cheese for for$2.99. Swiss cheese is twice that price at HEB. Sirloin steak is $5.99 lb. Sirloin at HEB is over $10.00 lb. The store is small but does have some pleasant surprises. read more

I get it that it's a small store for a small town. The aisles are so narrow that you can barely get 2 narrow carts past one another. The prices are sometimes double what they are at places like H-E-B or Walmart. Their fruit and vegetables aren't worth carrying to the front door. One time I picked up some black grapes and noticed they were moldy. The produce guy was standing there so I took them to him, pointed out the mold, and he said, "thanks." Then I watched him, he picked off the moldy grapes and put the rest back! Some may want to say that they save time/money by not driving to either Boerne or Kerrville but if you're doing your weekly shopping, even with the price of gas, you're going to be money ahead. Almost every time I go by there they have a help wanted sign up. I see that and think they should add at the bottom of the sign, "only bad attitudes need apply." I get it, sometimes people have an off day now and then but those people have them 7 days a week! I do go in there if I'm in Bandera and happen to need one thing. I will bite the bullet and try not to notice that I'm being robbed. With the Dollar General store in Bandera we have another option to check prices., read more

Definitely your neighborhood independent chain grocery store. Not super exciting, but the music they play is consistently nice. The cashiers are all friendly, but they don't have nearly the selection of HEB in Kerrville or SA. read more

If your breezing into town from a large city, don't expect a mirror image of a large grocery chain or a lot of unnecessary useless things like gluten free junk. This is a local grocery store and more than adequate for real people with real dietary needs and not a waste of space high flautin' bored city bred and non physical waste. I've lived in large cities (NYC, Seattle, St. Louis) and I wouldn't trade the REAL people and REAL food here for a million of them. Good and ample parking, Friendly staff and great location. If your looking for more, try buying your junk foods in town before you get here...we work hard, are REAL and we need REAL food here. If you're coming here you're coming for the small town experience so stop insulting us and either enjoy yourself or don't come because we don't need condescending sourpusses here. read more

This is a completely basic grocery store with limited choices in most categories. Most brands are not organic, gluten-free or dairy-free. They didn't have one tomato soup brand that is gluten-free. If you are traveling to the area, pack your specialty foods because this store won't help. The staff was pleasant. This store is dirty and there is a lot of food that's out of date. The management staff is rude, unhelpful and doesn't treat their employees right. Since the managers are unkind to the employees, they are rude to the customers. It makes for a harsh shopping experience. You really just wanna get in and get out. I had a problem with a sale on soft drinks. It said "All Dr. Pepper Products. I took this to mean anything bottled by the DP Bottling Company. But when I checked out it charged @ regular price. I complained bc I had to switch out two types I wanted for just Dr Pepper. An older gentleman who was helping to switch them with me. When he saw my displeasure he asked what they could do to make me "happy". I just wanted the types I had originally wanted. So he went and got the other two original ones and gave them to me free of charge. This was totally unexpected. It is very rare to see that type of Customer Service now days. I just wish I had asked his name. For this I will increase my shopping with Lowes, instead of always going in to Kerrville for most of my groceries. As a side note I have found they often stock items that are hard to find in your more large Grocery Chains. Thank you Lowes! read more

I have never shopped at Low's since I live in San Antonio but I coordinate a benefit trail ride for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital every year with Western Heritage Cowboy Church.For the last three years Low's has donated all the meat for our events. They have always been more than willing to help. My thanks to them for this. read more
