I have been coming here, off and on, since it opened. It is larger than the one within walking distance of where I live, and convenient to reach via various Metro Bus lines. A lot to see and choose from here, compared to smaller HEB, but you will notice that certain items you may see at the HEB you go to more are not in stock here (just a minor quibble). Lots of parking, and the kids will love the escalator, but not the fact they can't ride the shopping cart up and down, hee, hee! read more

Today the bagger (a nice man with special needs) did not pack up my reusable grocery bags that I provided. Instead he bag the items normally in plastic bags and only put three items in my reusable bags once the cashier was finished & gave him a look (signaling he did something wrong, he then said sorry to her). Though I'm not upset with this, this did cause me to have to take extra trips to unload my groceries & wasted plastic bags. Maybe this could've been avoided with extra training or with the cashier letting him know in advance to pack the reusable bags with the groceries instead of the plastic bags? Other than this, I'm very happy with this new H-E-B though have found some items hard to find and would have to go to a different grocery store to find that item due to it being so big and some of the signs being very vague. read more

Just when I thought it was safe to come out of the water... Ok, so the customer service etc. has improved considerably there (though I still mostly shop at Krogers and Whole Foods). Unfortunately, I made the mistake of trying HEB's organic fruit. My advice? Just say no. The organic bagged apples appeared to have worm holes in a couple of the apples. (There's only like 5 or so in the pack.) The organic grapes were super sour. I've never had this issue with Whole Foods' organic apples or grapes. It was a major fail and a waste of $10 as I ended up tossing both. Lesson learned. Still, I suppose HEB organic bananas would be okay - well as bananas continue to ripen off the vine. I'll continue to drop by when it's convenient and for things like their delish Texas Starry Night ice cream but for produce? No. read more

Yes, I'm from Texas and yes I love H-E-B is an understatement. My all time favorite H-E-B would have to be the one on West Alabama street, it's a show stopper. This one is, well we can settle between good and perfectly okay. It was built to replace the extremely old Bellaire H-E-B which flooded during Hurricane Harvey. The thing I look for in a grocery store is good parking and a full amount of produce. This store really does have a great selection of produce organic and non-organic with many fresh veggies. There is a parking garage which normally might give me some anxiety in a grocery store, but it means you can virtually park anywhere and be close to the entrance which is a plus when you are walking inside from a hot Houston parking lot and accumulating boob sweat- did I say that?! Oops. I like to park at the top of the garage, and walk right into the store. Almost no one looks to park there, and there is always a spot right up front! Win. If you park on the bottom of the garage then you get to take the shopping cart escalator down (okay really cool!) Things I think this store needs to work on, twice my husband has picked up yogurt that was expired. Yes, already expired and on the shelf which makes me a little unnerved. Ok and yes, I've obviously failed to train him how to check before you buy it from the store; but we've only been married one year! So I think it's H-E-B's duty to at least put the current date out, not already expired. I will give them a pass this once, because the store was brand new when this happened both times. Otherwise, good shopping experience. I think this store is so new and shiny that it kind of is missing the homey feeling. I'm so thrilled H-E-B is back in the area! It's also lovely to have your car parked in the shade while you shop.....not to mention you won't get wet during Houston spur of the moment downpours! My kiddo and I went in quick and left the same. It was very busy inside with people just standing around amazed at everything they saw. We didn't make rounds over the entire store, but were impressed with what we saw. The store still seemed on the smaller side compared to others in the area, but it was doable. My kiddo loved the escalator for the shopping carts watching them come down to the ground level. There is also an escalator if the basket escalator becomes too stopped up. read more

Whelp, not going back there. The parking lot was packed. Drove around in a constant traffic jam, almost got in a wreck, people yelling at other people. We finally parked across the street and bought some Froyo so we wouldn't get towed. It's Saturday at 5:30pm, not a crazy time. It's packed for no reason, other than it's "hot and new" I guess. Inside was just as packed. People and carts everywhere. Everyone seemed to be in a pissy mood. "EXCUSE ME" I was yelled at twice. It was hot and crowded and everyone was feeling it. When we got back to the car, I tried to find the chapstick I had bought... nope! It didn't make it into our grocery bags. But there was no way I was fighting through that mess again to get my $2 chapstick. So I'll have to stop somewhere else to get it. The good things: lots of very friendly staff. And the seafood display looked really nice with some reasonable prices. read more

It's pretty much what you would expect from HEB, Good quality customer service, fast service and quality products but a pricey cost for almost everything. For example one thing I get from Joev's at 83 cents cost 1$ at HEB and is the exact same thing, there is no difference but the price that is higher and I still don't know why. read more

I've been meaning to write a review since attending the grand opening, but today I am left with no choice other than to completely stop putting my groceries away & give this store the recognition it has earned. I have been using & am a huge fan of Curbside pick-up. With work requiring me to travel throughout the day, all over Houston, using Curbside is such a huge time-saver. I order my groceries online the day before, pick up in-between clients, drop my groceries off at home & keep it moving. Dominic, who I believe is one of the managers in that department, was the first to greet me & his customer service made me realize I'd probably never step foot in a grocery store again because this is amazing! Every single person I've dealt with since then has mirrored his level of service, even on the days when they are clearly busy & overwhelmed - I super appreciate that. But TODAY took it to an entirely different level of customer service excellclence. Last week, Storm Imelda flooded my car. Since last week I've been trying to get into a rental, but of course, many rentals were flooded as well. I was promised that I'd be in a rental today so I scheduled my Curbside pick-up. When my timeframe expried, I decided to call the Curbside department directly (a number Dominic gave me on my very first visit), I started to explained what'd happened & asked if my groceries could be delivered instead. I was expecting to wait until the next day (which would've been fine & understandable), but the young lady on the other end (wish I had her name, I think it was something with a C like Charmaine?) told me not a problem, asked when I would want them delivered & said she could have someone bring them out right now. She got my address & less than 30 minutes later, my groceries were here. HOW?? HOW H-E-B are you so great?! Thanks so much to the Curbside/Delivery department. Love H-E-B Bellaire! read more

We're regulars at this location since it's been open and today was the day that my two little ones were just not in the mood to shop. As I'm rushing to grab everything and get out one of the girls ( Steph ) asked if I would like her to assist me down since my cart was taken up mostly by a brother and sister who REFUSED to sit next to each other in the double child seats on the cart. Not only did she grab another cart to put the groceries in but also helped me locate my car because this mama of course couldn't find the keys to sound the alarm. If I could give this heb 0 stars I would! 6 months ago when I stared coming to this heb, one of the managers has been harassing me! following me down every aisle, asking me if I need anything and after telling her no she comes back 5 seconds later and asks me again. She does this repeatedly until she gets a rise out of me, and also smirks at me while asking. She waits until she gets me alone on the aisles and harasses me. She never does it while other customers are around, if anyone else is around she says nothing!! This has been going on for 6 months, and after multiple complaints nothing has been done! This sick monster is always on the beauty aisle, and will leave her assigned area to follow me. I'm done being nice about the situation I'm not ignoring it anymore!! I can't believe heb allows someone this evil to take on the position of a manager!! I'm done being nice and next time she does this (which she will do it again)I will be sure to get her name and get a restraining order! read more

It was such a bummer that I just need to return an item and I have to wait in line with other customers that buying their weekly items in large carts. I have been 3 times and they have let me down each time. They don't have options like other HEBs, they have mold on the fruit they have out, the deli guy was rude and refusing to serve us cause he was just putting stickers on stuff instead of helping the HUGE LINE waiting on him. Absolutely love this HEB. Easy to park and they have parking lights over every space so you don't have to drive up and down to look for a spot. I love the self-check out lanes. I have switched all my pharmacy needs over to this HEB as well. I love the option of parking upstairs for a quick grocery run or downstairs if it's sorching hot or raining. read more

I had a couple uneventful trips, and then today my cart locked up again while exiting the store. However, this time, the lady at the escalator seemed to be on the lookout since she immediately came over, key in hand, and immediately fixed it. This is a great store with a wide selection. We love using curbside which is very convenient for parents with little ones that might be tempted to get things they don't need. The minimal cost alone is worth it. The parking situation is a little odd at times but if you put down the cellphone and pay attention a person of average intelligence should be fine. read more

So, I currently live near this HEB--moved to that side of town since my last review. The garage is still an accident zone, but overall if I come when it's pretty quiet it's a good experience. Helpful staff, usually has my beer brand and most of my groceries, and the coffee shop is pretty great. Curbside honestly is a huge benefit too. read more

I guess the whole cart escalator/ 2 stories will draw people in. It's technically a regular H-E-B with a lower level parking garage. The great thing about the garage is it's has the light to tell you if it's available or not like hobby airport. I mean the cart escalator is cool just give your cart to the worker and they'll put it in and you just wait for the cart to get to the bottom. There's also elevators too. Didn't try the coffee toast place inside but that's pretty cool. read more

I shop at this HEB on the usual. Staff are always helpful and knowledgeable from the produce, deli, meat, and seafood part as well as bakery. They have most of my needs and check out is fast. My only complaint would be that when you request paper bags, they over pack them to where the handles break. I guess it's habit they've formed across the store, or maybe it's directions on when using the paper bags. I still give it fives stars because I love HEB! read more

I would like to visit the store but I love the delivery service because I hate being in huge crowds . The food is always fresh and the meat selection is the best. If you hate crowds , have a hard time moving around or do not like being around people just choose delivery. They will bring your food to you within 20 minutes of your chosen time frame. read more

I love this HEB especially the meat section. They have different grade and variety of cuts. My favorite is the all natural no antibiotics no hormone green label packaged beef, pork and chicken. Not every HEB carries the green label meat. read more

I feel really bad giving this place 2 stars, but I was just not impressed. Let me start off by saying that I was SO excited to visit the two story HEB right down the street from me. I live closer to the location off of San Felipe, but I decided to give this one a try. As I pulled up, I was blown away!!! It looks huge and really fancy. I rode up the escalator and was still impressed. However, upon getting inside, I was completely let down. It is still a very small store. Yes it might have a parking garage downstairs, but the square footage of the actual store is small. Also, I feel like it didn't have all the upgrades that some HEBs have. The one I shop at has small decor extras and extra departments that this one just does not have. It is definitely an upgrade from the one that Bellaire used to have, but the one off of San Felipe is still much better! read more

Big letdown in terms of parking! It's not convenient at all and there is no customer service booth! There is not enough space to get around, especially around the produce department. They put a lot into pre-made food displays, including microphones for specialty food demos and samples, and there are a lot of novelty items. The seafood market is decent and the bakery and produce departments offer great variety. However, if you need to quickly pick up one or two items, this is NOT the place to go. Also, if you end up parking on the second floor, keep in mind the pharmacy is on the first floor. Very annoying that you have to wait for an elevator or escalator to get to your car- I don't understand how this is "awesome." read more

They LIE about Curbside service being free. There is a 3% markup on every item, and the website has that information well hidden, if it's there at all. I asked for a callback when I got the text that 2 basic staple items were out of stock. I asked for a callback, which never happened. When I got there, each item was in its own plastic bag -so wasteful and environmentally offensive! I got home to find another item missing, but I was charged for it, and one produce item wholly unacceptable, so I had to go back and go inside the store to talk to someone. There was no curbside manager or general manager on duty, so I had to talk to a "head runner" and the cashier manager. read more

HEB is my go to grocer, especially when I'm too lazy to price shop. For the most part, the in-season items are fresh. I dont get the sense that they get a lot of gmo fruits and vegetables. They are all different sizes and shapes. I like this because I can buy non gmo organic without the price tag. (I have a friend who works for heb I should verify this and update this post.
