My goodness, H&M stores in Glasgow are either breeding or multiplying -- it's impossible to tell which! How much are you willing to bed that the Borders location will host yet another?
Joking aside, this new H&M unit is in the space which Open once inhabited, and Habitat before them. H&M, however, has utilised the space far more successfully than their predecessors. Upstairs now holds men's clothing, with more smart stuff than they had in the upstairs Buchanan Galleries unit. There is also a good-sized kids section, which kind of reminded me of the one at Zara.
On the ground floor and below, the women's section is very spread-out, with different "rooms" if you will for different ranges and styles of clothing. The area for scarves, handbags, leggings, and other accessories is especially glorious. There aren't many tills, but if you're in for a good browse that shouldn't matter too much. Although I haven't been finding as much clothing I like in here lately, I'm still a fan and will continue to choose here over some of the other high street stores in the area, which become ever-more expensive with every visit (naming no names... Topshop!)
Definitely worth a wee wander around to see for yourself! read more
