Randomly closed for no reason. Came a great distance to pick up an order and make a return.

However; I also love coming randomly throughout the year to get updated clothing items. I typically like to check out under Armour and Nike, the Columbia store also has a separate outlet location as well. Recently, I feel like prices haven't been nearly as good as they used to, but in this economy, who can blame them. I would love to see a little bit more variation in the food court, it's mostly Asian cuisines and Cinnabon. All delicious but would love to see some more options. There's a ton of parking, but if you come on a busy weekend, you may not notice and still have to park far away. Bummed to see some recent retailers, leaving, they've been replaced with stores that my opinion were is great. Overall, a decent shopping trip, it's also in a great location. There's plenty of other stores/eating nearby. I recommend checking out the Twin Cities premium outlets if you haven't been there before.

It's nearly identical to the Aurora Outlet mall back home in Illinois so navigating this building felt like I was back home. There weren't any outdoor vendors, maybe they'll be there in the summer. There was ample amount of parking and a great variety of stores where you could find half of them at the Mall of America itself. This mall is very clean without any riff raff from my visit here. Not the best selection of restaurants from the food court

If you're down to scrounge, this place might be for you (I'd just urge you to wash your hands after). That said, I specifically went here today because I needed a stapler. Mine went missing when I moved (probably in some box I've yet to unpack in my storage unit), and there's zero need to purchase a brand new stapler when I know I can get an old reliable Swingline from a thrift place like this (plus, I remembered on my first amble through here that they had a whole basket of staplers). Sure enough, I was able to acquire a stapler. But you can bet your ass that I brought along some staples to test out said staplers... the first one I picked up had a busted spring, but the second was fully functional. Both had been priced at $3. I mention this simply as a word of warning to consider testing before you buy.) I also picked up a bobbin thread case and a quart sized bag of crayons (both priced at $3) while I was there. This place is good for finding the kind of craft stuff your granny would keep around at a low price. And honestly, you're doing the environment a BIG favor to snag this kind of thing off a thrift store shelf rather than "convenience buy" it off Amazon or whatever. You can save money and feel good about yourself. The rest of the store has stuff like glassware, clothing, kids stuff, and holiday decor. It's not all amazing stuff. I reckon a lot of folks donate stuff they don't care to sort through when an elderly parent finally kicks it. The employee behind the checkout counter was a little slow to bother acknowledging me, but once we were interacting, they were friendly enough and wished me a good day; seemed like they were happy I actually bought something instead of just browsing.

But here are some…read moredetails on a shopping experience this afternoon at the Mall of America Old Navy Store which will make me never shop at Old Navy ever again. Cashier #2832756 (I did not catch her name) was ringing my purchase. I had my driver's license out and my credit card. As she was finishing my transaction, she gave me a confused look and asked me if I was military. I was confused, but answered 'no'. She told me she didn't need to see my driver's license. I told her the back of my credit card requests to check my ID. She told me, "We don't do that". Then she gave me the total of my sale, and I informed her there was a sign on the fixture that said the shirts were 30% off. We both walked over to the fixture with all the shirts towards the front of the store. She looked at the sign and a few of the shirts and told me, "It's 30% off clearance items, and none of these shirts are on clearance." We walked back to the cashwrap and finished my transaction. As I was leaving the store, there was another Old Navy employee standing at that same fixture, and I told him that sign was misleading. He looked at me and shrugged his shoulders. I don't know if the cashier was not trained properly to check shopper's IDs when their credit cards request that or if Old Navy truly has a policy not to check IDs. In today's world of fraud, that's troubling enough. And why have a sale sign on a fixture that does not have any sale items on it? Apparently Old Navy feels as if it's making enough money off of people that their employees don't feel like they need to provide any customer service. I choose to vote with my consumer dollars, and I'll be taking my money elsewhere.

The sales were so amazing today, that I felt like they were practically giving stuff away. I bought…read more14 items. I paid $85, & my savings was $96.70. I saved over 50%. Old Navy rules, period. I got some PJ's, t-shirts, tank tops, long sleeve tops, & even some of those ugly black velour pants. What, I wear them when I travel internationally. You would too, if you traveled for over 24 hours at a time. Plus, I think I paid like $5 for them. This is the place for great prices on basics. So hurry up & go get yourself some ugly velour pants for $5 too.
