Hello there my Yelpers…read more I stumbled onto swirls and twirls today and what luck I had to do this. Today, I went into Swirls and Twirls and was immediately greeted by a Cassie. I proceeded to try, salted caramel..OMG , espresso...yum, peppermint strachiatell (did I spell that correctly?) And the toasted almond!!! All were so amazingly delicious and stimulating to the pallet. She then made me a medium (overstuffed) cup of the ones I tried.....delicious!!! Afterwards, I got into a talk with Rocco, the owner, who by my luck, was just putting out some strawberry cheesecake gelato. I have always been a fan of their soft: Pistachio, Strawberry and Vanilla, yes in that order, but this trip my local East Rock location was dishing up soft Mint! With it being BOGO Wednesday I had to go for it. What a Surprise and true delight! It reminded me of Mint chip, without the chips! That's right smooth and creamy like it should be, making it a Carvel classic.
