Helpful and seemingly nice guys behind the counter serving the customers. They were even helpful enough to bring it to my car so I wouldn't have to wait inside of the restaurant because I use a walker. The gyro sandwich was basic but not bad. The ingredients were fresh and the taste was good. The shrimp and chips were a disaster. The fries were absolutely cold. I can't describe the shrimp, but they were like little coin sized breaded pieces of something. Extremely small with mostly breading and no shrimp meat. Deceptively tell people on Uber Eats that it is 2 gyros for the price of one then only send one gyro. When you call, the person who is managing says, "We can't control what Uber Eats puts on their website." What is this place? The staff do not interact with customers, so you have to order online or at their $10,000 kiosk. That is how much they will pay not to talk to you. There is no music or any sound in the dining room. The lights are the brightest lights you have ever experienced. Tell me you hate your customers without telling me you hate your customers. I have gone to Gyro King a few times as the location is more conconvenient for me, but in my opinion the taste and quality of Gyro Star is superior. The hummus is smooth and creamy, the baba ganoush is a little chunkier and less of a smoky flavor than I have had elsewhere but still very good, and the lamb and beef gyro has tender, well-spiced meat. I've wanted to try shawarma ever since I saw the Avengers, and I finally had my opportunity. I had the chicken shawarma and spanakopita at Gyro Star. The spanakopita had too much spinach and not enough cheese for my taste, but I've thought that about other spanakopita I've had other places, so I think that's how it's authentically made. I think the one that I had that I liked better just wasn't authentic. The shawarma was warm and delicious, and I loved the tzatziki sauce that was served with the spanakopita. There were no fountain beverages, but I bought a can of pop to have with my meal. I can't give five stars, because most of the tables were dirty, and after waiting a little while to ask for a table out of the sun to be cleaned, I just cleaned it myself. If I go again, I'll just check the tables on the way in, and ask for one to be cleaned when I order, if it needs it. read more
