I was then presented with a treatment plan totaling $2800. Mind you, this is 3x's the national average for said procedures so I decided to book a ticket and go to my regular dentist in Philadelphia. My dentist in Philadelphia found that I DID NOT have the 2 cavities I was told I had, and that I DID NOT need the deep cleaning that had been recommended. Learning this was extremely concerning and left me questioning the ethics of Old Town Dental. I believe they profile new patients based on where they live. I was left wondering whether treatment recommendations and pricing may vary depending on the patient. I can't say for certain, but the high cost of the proposed treatment and the big discrepancy between my diagnosis and the actual dental work needed raised concerns for me. Before my appointment, I had seen comments on a local Facebook community page from others who expressed concerns about their experiences with this office.
