First experience was terrible. The second visit's redeeming factor: Carlos. If he was the one to help us on day one, we would have easily lifted review level and stars. Staff are young and inexperienced. Two people "in training" on their first day were paired up to take X-rays and assess patients. What should have taken 5-15 minutes took 2 hours and 15 minutes. No one stepped in to help the trainees. At the end, only after we noted our discontent, did someone say "we are short-staffed". Before that, both days, they blamed their own staff's lack of knowledge and experience on, "they are doctors from other countries". The young girls at the front desk, rather than encourage and praise their "doctors from other countries", protecting and defending them, chose instead to use it against them as faults for being inexperienced and slow. If we hadn't been forced into pre-paying our cleanings after the initial exams, we would never have set foot in this establishment again. Now we are hoping they repay us what they owe, as our insurance covered everything. read more

I reviewed this dental office a couple of years ago when I first went to Dr. Guthrie. She is no longer at the office now. Her care was great but the office is overstaffed and they charge now for your "free" cleanings that you are supposed to get with your insurance. I went in to have a cap cemented back on. It came off when flossing. They wanted to charged me over $800 to just put the same one back in!! Thanks but no thanks! I was still charged the $50 + 3% credit (debit) card fee for the office visit (for nothing). I will not be going back. read more

I went in for a normal cleaning which would be covered under my insurance. They came in with a hard sell for a more expensive cleaning due to their diagnosis of periodontal disease. I said I'd rather just have the normal cleaning that's covered under my insurance. The sales guy said no they aren't able to do that because it's knowing neglect. Your part of the upgraded cleaning will be $570. I reluctantly paid that and then they sent me another bill for $230. They charged me $800 on top of what they collected from insurance for a special cleaning that took maybe an hour and a half total. They made me come in for two cleanings about 45 minutes each with a hygienist. They are very nice people but clearly do this regularly to make more money. My friend said they said the same thing to her so she went to her old dentist and he told her that was a common dental scam. She only needed the normal cleaning. I had no cavities. There prices are ridiculous. Don't go there unless you don't care about the costs. read more

How to live nicely in Key West. Become a dentist. Tell your patient that to pull 7 good teeth and replace with an all-on-one/AOX upper will cost them 39,000.00...yes 39K! 39K for an upper arch. Now, I already have two implants on my right side, so this price is for 3 implants...OR the other option will be to fix everything at a cost of 72k. Yes, those numbers that make you go what the...researched and go 3 hours north and that price can drop by 10k or more. People are nice, but I guess their clientele are the multi-millionaires. read more

For years I have struggled with needing my wisdom teeth removed. As a dental hygienist, I had met with several oral surgeons and was scared to proceed. I was always promised that I would basically have nerve damage upon removal. Until I met Dr. Eberle. Never before was I offered to have a 3-dimensional x-ray of my teeth. Upon reviewing the x-ray, Dr. Eberle showed me the nerve canal and how there is an effective approach to removal due to the fact that the tooth was NOT wrapped around the canal as before told. The surgery went exactly as planned and I am safe to say that I have had ZERO complications. He is a savior. Hands-down best bedside manner I have ever experienced. Thank you Dr. Eberle for being the greatest, and thank you to the team of professionals that allow his work to be perfected on a daily basis. read more

Abscessed tooth emergency. Keys Dental was not available for my emergency on a Friday, but would see me on Monday. I went to another dentist for an emergency Lancing. Keys did call me to see if I still needed an appointment. So had the Lancing, then a root canal and an infection for 3 weeks that would not go away. Called Keys Dental., got a quick appointment, and was evaluated and got a root canal. I am Dental terrified but this Keys Dental is now my forever dental group. I was evaluated by Dr Guthrie. She is wonderful. Pictures and all and then Surgery with Dr Eberle. This dental group made me feel comfortable that they could help and make the right decision. A small crack was discovered deep in the tooth. Two other Dentists and one Endodontist did not discover the crack even though i told them I thought there was a crack. That is the story. KDS knocked me out. I remember them telling me what they were going to do, then asking how I was doing. It was over. Except for a very sore mouth I am confident my infection will be gone and I found my new Dental Group. The whole staff was wonderful, and accommodating, even for this Old Neurotic dental patient. This dentist had amazing customer service. From the moment you arrive until you walk out the door. Very friendly staff. From the front desk assistant - Bridget, the dental hygienist Nellie, even the dentist herself Dr. Guthrie. I am usually terrified of going to the dentist, but I actually enjoyed coming to this dental office. They made the appointment comfortable and were very welcoming to me.
