I really wanted to love this cute place but the service and entrees were below par. The appetizers…read more(tuna crudo and salad) were pretty tasty. However, the entrees and service missed the mark. The food sat on the counter for awhile - we had to ask for them to serve it. The burgers were okay. The lamb skewers were rare (not that they asked how we wanted it prepared) and stringy with tendons. A tiny portion of the pasta was served in an appetizer bowl - we politely asked if this was an appetizer or entree. Were told it's entree. Even though half the restaurant was empty, we were rush to pay the bill. Sadly, we will not be returning.

This review is for a delivery order placed through Uber Eats so your experience may differ, but I felt like the reality didn't live up to the hyped expectations. My chicken parm was $23.75.. maybe it's cheaper in person, but for that price I want the best chicken parm of my life. The bread was the best part in my opinion. The breading was coming off the chicken and the meat itself wasn't the most tender. It was fine, but not worth the price I paid through Uber Eats. I would consider going back maybe for dinner one day, the pasta looked pretty good. Don't think I'll be back for the sandwiches!

The highlight here is definitely the variety. They have a well-stocked fresh produce section. The store also carries a wide range of international and South Asian/Caribbean pantry staples and spices, which makes finding authentic ingredients a breeze. Good prices, and free parking, definitely recommend checking out Kalam's Bazaar. Review for: 10/19/25

This supermarket is gargantuan retail space with a free large parking lot shared with neighboring business IHOP. Patrons can now eat pancakes and grocery shopping at the same location! Newly opened with a grand opening ubiquitous party debut on Friday, September 5, 2025 including a large inflatable jumping castle in the parking lot for children to run amok which I regretfully entered amid the chaos and large crowd and made my usual fast exit. I returned on a quieter day with a few purchases that gratefully totaled less than $10.00. Price is very reasonable (depending the product for tariff, and industry standard cost) for today's plaguing egregious cost of living expenses. Recyclable bags are provided without the aggravating and frivolous $0.05 charge. These are the only two reasons for my four star review. There are brand name grocery items as UTZ potato chips, Goya Maria cookies and Ricola herb cough drops. There is a fish market where patrons can request fishmongers to gut, scale, and fillet fish. Customer service is very mediocre. The checkout line is very chaotic and the aisles are rather difficult to navigate as customer stand and talk in garrulous manner than actually decide to buy the item to block the aisle preventing passage for others to walk. Certainly Kalam's Bazaar is the "community hub" for the central gathering place of frivolous talk! The conversations was vapid and utterly uninteresting among fellow customers as I make my way passage into the aisle. This location is very accessible via MTA NYC Transit A train at Rockaway Boulevard (this station splits final destination to either Lefferts Boulevard and Far Rockaway), Queens, NYC.

Among the many soigné Trini eateries scattered across Queens, this one layers in just the right accoutrements to truly awaken your palate. The Bake and Shark itself is a revelation: flaky, golden, and impossibly crisp, yet light and ethereal with every bite. Sweet bursts of pineapple weave through the savory richness, striking a perfect balance that transports you straight to the shoreline--sun on your skin, salt in the air, and the rhythm of the Caribbean just beyond the waves. You officially have the Supreme touched.

You can get huge servings, of chicken, beef, shrimp, oxtail, duck, rice and vegetables in lunch and dinner servings sizes. While we do love the complete meals, we came exclusively for the "doubles". These savory pastries pack a flavor explosion that can't be beat. Made of flour and fried, these moist but crispy disks are stuffed with your filling of choice. You can have meat, seafood, veggies or just plain if you are not feeling fancy. After selecting the filling, make sure you ask for " everything " toppings. The toppings consist a healthy slathering of spiced chickpeas, tangy tamarind chutney and spicy pepper sauce. If you can't handle spice, leave out the pepper but without the sauce, the depth of flavor is absolutely lastonishing. I selected one shrimp and onw goat double, my partner in crime filled his with assorted veggies. The vibe is fast paced and super busy so grab a menu, decide what you want and be ready to order when it's your turn. They also sell assorted beverages to help cool you off. I'm studying the menu for my return trip. Enjoy.
