I am always happy and satisfied when I get my car repaired by Guy Roberts VW. This is a hidden gem that all Volkswagen owners need to find for repairs on their car. He has been in business for a long time I remember seeing his shop back in the late 80s. I have been bringing my car to him since 2009. He is a certified Volkswagen mechanic with genuine Volkswagen parts and he stands behind his work. I tell everyone that owns a Volkswagen to look him up because you will always be satisfied with the service and prices. I used to go to the dealership for repairs but I learned about him and I have not gone back to the dealership. Only one example is that the dealership wanted me to replace my catalytic converter with a cost of $1125. I had it replaced by Guy Roberts for $225! This is a great mechanic and business you should really take your car to him. Remember he's not a dealership so plan on dropping your car off and you will not have a loaner. read more

I'm embarrassed for balling tears while a AAA flatbed tow truck hauled her out of my driveway and dropped it off (after hours). I took my Vw Passat to Guy Roberts because they supposedly specialize in Vw repairs. I wanted to know why the engine light was on. I left the car and picked it up the next day. He explained the engine light was on because the motor oil was low and Vw are sensitive to having low motor oil. He said he changed the oil and reset the engine light. Within two days the engine light came back on. I took the car to a different mechanic. The mechanic successfully diagnosed and repaired the problem. This mechanic doesn't even specialize in Vw repairs. I would never go to Guy Roberts shop again nor recommend. read more

In credible work. Both father and son are brilliant VW mechanics. I took my daughters 2012 VW beetle for a major oil leak. They had the car done and ready to go 8n 5 hours. When I got there, I totally forgot to tell them I wanted the serpentine belt changed. The son dropped what he was doing, got a belt, and changed it in 10 minutes. They took the time to show us how to keep the car from leaking and gave us a great price. They are Master VW mechanics. Can't beat a father and son team!!! read more

My 2016 VW Passat was loosing oil but not to the ground or oil pan. I'd put on new spark plugs that lasted only 2 months, when two plugs were removed, both had oil residue on them. Guy suggested an oil separator, just as a bandaid & it seems to be doing okay for now, going on month 4, with the plugs but I am still having to top off with oil because it's still leaking somewhere. I just wish VW would acknowledge their discrepancy with the oil leaking. read more

Guy Roberts is the MASTER of VW's. He has worked on my 67 Ghia, 2002 Jetta, 2003 Jetta, and has always been thorough and concerned about his work. When the white 2002 was totaled from a rear end collision, I sold it to him for parts instead of letting the insurance company buy it. When I bought the 2003 he went over it and told me I may need a timing belt if it had not been done. Unfortunately, I did not take his recommendation at face value and about 50,000 miles later his $400 suggested maintenance turned into a a full-on rebuild because valves were bent from the timing belt snap. I thought I'd need an entire new engine, but Guy saved my original one by rebuilding what it needed. The 2003 is now my son's and he drives it back and forth to college with no issues. He has decades of experience from working with his dad back in the 80's and now has trained more techs in his expertise. It'll be a real sad day when Guy retires. He is LEGENDARY. I asked Guy Roberts to assess/evaluate the mechanical and overall condition of his customer's Vanagon Syncro Westfalia for me since I was flying from the West Coast to purchase it. I asked Guy specifics questions about the van since he worked on the van throughout the years, knew the owner well, and performed recent repairs. Guy assured me that the van was in immaculate condition (with the exception of an exhaust leak) and that cosmetically there were no dings or any traces of rust. Because of misrepresentation and false statements about both the cosmetic and mechanical condition, I wasted my time, effort and money (over $1500) in round trip tickets and a hotel room. If he had told me the truth about his customer's van, I would have never made the trip! Do not seeks services with this shop...the owner is obviously a dishonest man! read more
