I talked to Eric and he was fantastic! He was able to get his team in quickly, the work was performed far beyond anything I'd expected, and both he and his on-site foreman were very responsive. We had two challenges, both of which Eric and his team overcame with speed, quality delivery, and excellent customer service. We were working on a tight timetable, so I was receiving store fixtures while construction was ongoing. Eric and his team were able to work around this without any problems. Second, my initial flooring choice became unavailable between the time I selected it and ordering. When this happened, Eric and I went down to Home Depot together and found another option that looked better, was higher quality, and cost less. I cannot recommend Eric and A&E construction enough! 100% would use again. In fact, I have some upcoming work that I need to do on my home. I bid this job to five other companies, but I'll just be reaching out to Eric directly on that one.

His team is very nice and the work is amazing. We had 21 different quotes and hands down felt comfortable with Eric. He won't try to price hike after a contract begins, provides detailed updates, and quickly understands what you want. Our project was as close to a gut renovation as you could get without demoing the whole place. The project turned out amazing and was done within 2 months. We moved walls, changed flooring, the entire kitchen, stairs and rail system, new ceilings, paint, trim, and so much more. On top of the great work, he provides a warranty on all his work. I highly recommend A&E for any project. I won't use any other contractor besides them.

Colleen and the Redbird team quickly helped us create a new floor plan to maximize space in our primary bathroom, plus pull and replace designs for two more bathrooms. They got to know our personal style, created design concepts that we loved, connected us with a contractor, and helped us navigate supply chain issues. The result: bathrooms that are beautiful, functional, easy to clean, and within budget.

She has a great eye for design and color and is easy to talk to and personable-- this was especially important to me since I wanted to work with someone that I can "click" with. There are tons of design options out there and I can easily spend multiple days just trying to pick out a single piece of furniture, let alone trying to make it look good and work with an entire room, so Colleen's services are invaluable. I just let her and her team do the hard work of putting together color palettes, layouts and mood boards and I tweak little details to my liking if I want. My entire house now looks instagrammable (can't help but notice how good rooms look in the background when I take pictures of the kids around the house) and I'm enjoying its looks as well as function every single day thanks to Colleen and RedBird!

Edgar Alvarado has ghosted me, leaving my project unfinished. He charged me $850 to remove layers…read moreof paint from a stair railing and apply stain. Unfortunately, I made the huge mistake of paying him in full after he told me, "I'm finished." I didn't deduct the cost of the stain, which I had purchased. The stain was applied unevenly, the railing isn't smooth, and he failed to apply a finishing coat. Worst of all, I was home caring for my mom while Edgar was applying the stain and he didn't bother to tell me, "The stain doesn't match the photo on the can," until he had finished applying the 2nd coat! He said, "I like it." It's got a red tone to it, and I don't like it at all. I now have to figure out how to fix this myself: Have it sanded off and a different-colored stain applied. Edgar told me he would install the other railing as part of the job. He did not do that. He was to return mid-March to finish the 2nd half of the project. His worker did not protect my newly refinished hardwood floor, which got scratched while moving a bookcase. In the process of "cleaning" the floor with some chemical after the staining was "done," Edgar removed the finish off the floor. I need to have the floor repaired. I have been sending text messages and leaving voicemail messages for Edgar for a week. It's extremely unprofessional and disappointing to refuse to communicate with a client. I previously paid him almost $8,000 for a kitchen project. It also took weeks for him to return to finish remaining items on that job. He charged $1400 to paint my maple kitchen cabinets white and did not fill the "seams" in the wood for a smooth finish. When I asked about fixing the cabinet doors showing the seams, he said that should have been done before the painting. Warning to everyone out there: NEVER pay a contractor in full before you have taken the time to verify the job was completed to your satisfaction. I trusted Edgar, and I'm beyond disappointed by my experience with him.
